Alter A.I.L.A.

Alter Aila is one of my favorite games in rm2k3.

In a post-apocalyptic world, it follows the story of "Blue" a person who lost his memory and a prisoner participating in a sick game of survival that is led by Kugar. The game allows you to do 3 "paths" until you reach the "True Path" and find out the truth in "Alter A.I.L.A" that ties the events in the game.

Story-wise, Alter A.I.L.A shines at the independents route but in the first 3 routes however, it wasn't really exciting at first and you can see "the world is doomed the end" But for someone who doesn't like sci-fi/modern/apocalyptic scenery, Alter A.I.L.A changed my perspective which has appealed to me for a long, long time.

Gameplay-wise, Alter A.I.L.A has puzzles, button smashing and long walks. The game is pretty hard specially at the first release where the ATB bars were really slow. But it was fun while it lasted specially with the kick ass music which unfortunately gets tiring once you hear it in a while.

Graphics wise, it's pretty much alright, although Black's walking graphic disturbed me a bit. The Battle Charsets were really nice. The Facesets were done by Neok himself which got me influenced into making my own!

Overall, Alter A.I.L.A is a nice game to play with. Definitely one of my favorites of all time and I'm still looking forward for the sequel. I really recommend this game.
