This game is a final project for my English class. It gives you some information on copyrights and patents which some of you may find interesting and helpful if you ever decide to make a commercial game.

Mechanically there is nothing ground breaking about this game, I use mostly RTP data with some original skill names and flavors. This game is more intended for education rather than being an amazing game. That said I hope this game helps some people.

Scripts used:
RPG Tankentai Sideview Battle System 3.3

It seemed dull at first, but this is indeed quite amusing. And informative, too, although there really is not that much to learn about this distinction to begin with.

I found the "Copyright User" hilarious, as were the pirates in the office. The law- and judge-points fit right in as well.

But one might wonder how they could develop a complete game together just to have it end like this ..

I know that this game was done as the final part of a school assignment and I do hope you got a passing grade at the very least but this was actually quite funny. I think unintentionally, but I found myself having a few moments here and there where I did have to stop playing just to contemplate what I was seeing.

The pirates in the patent office was a priceless and actually quite subtle addition, and I had to do a double take when I realised.

For something that imparted a bit of knowledge as well as fun, I must say thank you. It wasn't anywhere in-depth enough for me to write a review, but I did just feel I should let you know you hit the mark with this player.
Trust me. Projects in rpg maker NEVER work out well.

One would think I would have learned that by now.

My teacher can't even get it to play so now I have to use a hyper cam and put a video of it up on Youtube...

You need the RTP and another DLL file which I don't know the name of(since I'm used to RMXP) for it to run.
what a nabsauce! Don't settle for less than perfect.

Get your teacher to post your results as a review

I demand this. Refuse your grade in all other ways. Tear up the grading sheet or rubric in front of the teacher. Throw a fit. Don't stop until your instructor reviews the game on RMN.

Gunna download this later. Might write a review, if a review suits this. Maybe a report card.

loving the idea. but patents are protection on physical components, so you can't really get a patent on a game.

You can patent software I assure you. I've been researching it for a semester. It can be be fuzzy around what it does with software but you can in fact get one.

Totally agree with you on the weird assignment part.

"Burn (Or “Presenting Your Research”) This is where you will find ways of presenting and representing your evidence, research, and thesis for readers in the class and beyond."

So we pretty much had to do a research paper, except for the final we had to do something that would work with our target audience. Most people just made fliers or wrote letters to various government officials.
Well I just played it and uh... that is a weird game AND a weird assignment.

This is better than the featured game.

Y'know, when I was clicking on this post through my notices, I was thinking "finally, something in my notices that isn't LL!". And I got this.
