"Where were you when the universe ended?"

I Miss the Sunrise is an all-new prequel to 2009's The Reconstruction. Featuring strategic battles, player-created weapons, and unique gameplay around every turn, I Miss the Sunrise is an RPG experience like no other. The full game is available as of July 22nd, 2012.

Version 1.51 released August 12th, 2012.

-No typical HP & MP drudgery. Instead, all battlers have Hull, Systems, and Pilot ratings that serve as both health and fuel for weapons. Reducing any of them to 0 means defeat, so spacefarers beware!
-Create your own pilot. Give 'em a name, then choose your gender, race, and customized personality, all of which determine how you interact with other denizens of the universe.
-Get to know your allies better through dialog interaction and performance in battle. But be careful: some allies may be less receptive to your chosen personality.
-Assemble your own weapons. Use salvaged components to customize and outfit your own weapons, name them whatever you want, and use their blueprint codes to share your creations with other players!
-Fast-paced, strategic turn-based battles reward careful positioning and targeting over brute force. Exploit your enemies' vulnerabilities while covering your own!
-Random exploration maps let you take part in battles and exploration any time you please.
-Customizeable AI lets you determine just how ruthless the enemy can be.

Out with the Old

Happy Nauruan Independence Day, everybody!

For anyone still watching, I've expunged my old site in order to concentrate on my new one (Sungazer Software) full time. Plus, I had a lot of insane rambling from 2009 or so that I didn't want hanging around, so it had to go.

If there were any posts you absolutely cannot live without, or if you object loudly enough, then I could be goaded into having a "greatest hits" archive left intact somewhere. Swayed, even. Until then, though, consider any links to Tilde-One.com to be defunct. (Actually they'll just redirect to the new front page.)

Good night, and keep watching the skis! Uh, skies.

I hate RPG Maker because of what it has done to me
I have big crunchy suggestion.
You know how after the end of the game you can "rewind" to certain points. Suppose you can restart the entire game with your character, like a New Game +? If you're still interested in updating this game.

Don't worry! I'm no stranger to internet seething. I have another friend who thinks I'm somewhat of a monster for writing characters (and their fates) the way I do, so I'm no stranger to that either!

My next game won't have much in the way of dialog, thankfully, so we can both have a break for a little while.
I am really looking forward to your next efforts because you are getting better and better.
You know, I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooved The Reconstruction, mostly because Dehl is one of the more interesting main characters I've ever played as. But the secondary characters didn't quite compare. (It was weird, because there were fascinating NPCs, like Alito, and Metzino, and Yacatec...they were all awesome...and unplayable!! >_<)
Now in IMTS, you just can't pick one character from the party. Marie is the heart of the party! No, it's Rami! Chac is the bestest ever! MAHK SHOULD GET HIS OWN SPINOFF! etc, etc, etc.
Although I really don't know what goes through your head when you write, and as a bitter fangirl sometimes I'd like to shake you, I would really, really like to thank you for creating and sharing your games with us.

I'm posting this because maybe my last comment could have been misunderstood as if I didn't enjoy the game or something. I did! But I'm an old lady, and old ladies complain. XD

It's hard to confirm anything since, technically, both games end at the exact same moment! But it doesn't matter either way, since it's a symbolic gesture to everyone in the universe. You know, true immortality.

(Pretense levels are off the charts!)
Wait wait wait...

Should I take your previous post as confirmation that Ros does, in fact, die in the process of disposing the Core?

The episodes are over! They started in 2010, and all 5 (or 6 rather) are packaged together in the download. Currently no plans to start on another.
if this is in episodes why not give an episode setup 1-5 till another chapter releases? so those who missed out on the couple of chapters

Hey, thanks for giving it a shot!

As for the ending,
SPOILERS, seriously, don't click this:

One of the themes is quality of life versus sheer length. Society on a whole got so focused on longevity that they ended up doing nothing with it until they got jerked out of their torpor. So, I would say Mahk ended up with a happy ending after all.

As for Ros, he manages to save the physical universe and bring peace to it at the same time, thanks to the whole "great power and great responsibility" inevitability. All things considered, that seems happy enough!
This game is most certainly well made, and displays that the creator possess quite a lot of talent and creativity.

But sadly, I can't bring myself to play very far into it.
Its not really my cup of tea, so to speak.
Its not your fault, its just not really my taste as far as plot and setting goes.
But your talent and creativity has not gone unnoticed.
This is certainly an amazingly well made project, and must have taken ages to perfect, and I applaud your talent and creativity.

The graphics look nice, the maps are well done, and the battle system is quite complex, yet easy to learn.
Character dialogue is well written, and I also thought the character personality customization was a great feature.

This is quite possibly the most polished RPG Maker game I have ever played.
Keep up the good work.
But I'm still kind of bitter about the
"his boyfriend dumped him horribly"
part of the happy ending. XDDDD

Oh, you took him as a romantic choice? Interesting, yes. Is it really dumping, though? He does say that they'll wait for each other...
...which is of course botched by the "dies horribly" thing.

On a tangentially related note, I am a bit disappointed that
there's no third "realist" ending of some kind. Mainly because, while I may not always agree with compromises, I think they're generally good options to have. I don't really like being forced to choose between two extremes. However, I understand that extremism does make for better stories. :p

Thank you for the hints! :)

All happy endings end with "And then s/he died". I mean, really! :D

But I'm still kind of bitter about the
"his boyfriend dumped him horribly"
part of the happy ending. XDDDD
He does end up living happily ever after, so it's not so tragic. Sometimes, being marooned on an alien planet is what a guy needs.

I fail to see how being buried by volcanic ash constitutes "happily ever after". D: At least he saw Tez one last time, though...

I'll save you some trouble! Question 1:

Everything you need to trigger the alternate ending is right on the final confrontation.

Better hint:
It has to do with your dialog choices at the start of the mission. You'll know when you're on the right path.

And question 2:

It's not beatable, don't worry. What kind of heroic sacrifice would that be, anyway?

And for part 3:

He does end up living happily ever after, so it's not so tragic. Sometimes, being marooned on an alien planet is what a guy needs.

Thanks as always for your support. I do enjoy having a somewhat ravenous fanbase of sorts.
I've beat it! Kind of! But...not really?

I've gotten ending A (And an optimist badge)
Playing Episode Eternal didn't give me a different ending. (Instead of dismantling the superweapon, I shot EROS. Ral showed up on the last fight, but there was no other difference)

Is there like, ...a secret npc hiding somewhere? Something? I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I have no idea what. Help me out?

...Is that unbeatable fight actually beatable, and I'm supposed to level Neff up some more?

Once more, THANK YOU for creating this game.
Your games are good.
I spent a few hours of my life kind of hating you for what you did to
. That would have never happened if you hadn't written him so well. So, thanks. :)

Awww, and thanks for playing! Check back soon; I hope to have a page up for my next game in September!
I actually just registered on this site (even though I generally dont register anywhere) because this game blew my mind and I wanted to thank Deltree and the testers for all their hard work!

As someone who's been playing RPGM games for a while, I can say that this game goes above and beyond "the standard RPGM RPG", nearly to the level of a commercial game. Thank you for making such an amazing game! Hope to see many more!

Hah, I've been watching it too. It's actually 3000; I nuked the download when I released Episode 4 and it started the count over.

And thanks for playing!
c'mon, 47 more to reach 2k total download.
what an awesome project. :D

Thanks! And good luck on your own project too!
