"...Lyanna was a special girl. The world didn't see her as such, but she was truly one of a kind."

Belive him or not, but belive me, this game is truly special.

-->Before starting please, forgive me if my english is not very good looking. I'm not an english speaker.<--

-Good Stuff-

·+Fantastic plot and brilliant script:

Game starts in unknown place, one old man, storyteller, tell us about Layanna's story (main character in this demo). I'm avoiding any details and spoilers I can.

The plot in the begining is about how Layanna is sold as a slave. When everything seems to be lost for Lyanna and she is near to be bought by a fat man who wants to make her a sex doll, she is bought by a mysterious one-eyed man. This strange guy decides to free her, an unexpected decision.

First of all i was surprised by a solid characters design, each of them with a strong personality. Every character has his or her own glory moment, with smart dialogues and "star phrases".
While you are playing you will see how drama, fantasy and some comedy moments make this game the most classic model of a J-RPG (I appreciate this as a very good feature).

·+Nice Gameplay:

Gameplay itself is typical of every J-RPG games. Combats are almost FF6 style with basic attack commands and technics. Nothing new? could be, but not. Character development is not auto-level based. When you reach a new level you can spend a few points to make your character as you want. I loved the growing-up system.

·Sound and Music:

Every music fits the situation, I have nothing to say. Sounds is good enough.

·Graphics & Ambientation:

There are a few cool effects in the game, the sand in the air, the light when you enter a building. It helps to create a realistic atmosphere of a desert. That was a good point.

Mapping is simply amazing, you really know how to make realistic environments and well structured villages. This was pretty impressive for me.

-Not So Good Stuff-

·-Charsets/animation:

Charasets are not as well made as the other graphics, it uglify the overall graphics.
I mean, sprites are not bad at all, but they need to be recolored to fit with background scenaries. Try to reconfigure saturation.

Animations are well made but animations is quite rough sometimes. A good example of this is the scene when Lyanna is threated by the assasin.

·Minor bugs...

-Veredict-

A strongly recommended game for classic RPGs lovers.

Skarven definitely wanted Lyanna as a sex doll LOL. Thanks for playing, PsY. I'm American and my English isn't that good, so I heard you loud and clear. To address some things you mentioned: I agree that most the poses are a little awkward-looking. They were meant as placeholders, but I forgot to refine them, and just moved on to the next time. If I continue this, I'll make sure the animations are smoother. One thing I'm curious to know if whether or not the game crashed during the Character Development tutorial. Assuming you didn't just skip it. Thank you for the review.

Oh, now that you mention it ... yes, that was one of the minor bugs. The first time game crashed and showed a window that says something like "A script is not referenced" or something like that. When I loaded my game I didn't see the problem again. So I could continue without any kind of bugs.

I was in a similar situation when I was working on my game p.a.cman. Problem was caused by a patch for .exe. I don't know if that is your case.

Keep doing such a great job, I'll be waiting for next demo or complete game!
Yeah, I think that's why it keeps crashing. Did you find a way to fix it for your game?
Yes I did, I took a better patch, in my case the patch was suposed to skip the main screen. So it was pretty easy to find another patch.

Kind regards.
