1. Introduction

In a time before time itself, a time before man inherited the world around him, the Holy Knights of Eden protected the Sacred lands from a mysterious force, known only as “Evil”. Those inflicted with this disease must be cleansed, for the sake of the holy lands.

2. Gameplay

Use the directional keys to move around.
Use ‘Z’ for actions on the map such as talking, opening chests, etc.
Use ‘X’ to open the game menu.

Battles

Battles occur randomly at certain areas. The actions that can be performed in battle are as follows:

a) Weak Hit – This allows your character to regenerate energy points, which are needed for different attack combos. At the beginning of the game especially, it will be necessary to do this quite often. You can also choose to use Defend as well, which also regenerates energy.

b) Attacks- Here you will choose from a list of attacks that you have chosen for your character with each new level. A list of these skills and their attributes can be found in this guide below.
c) Defend- This allows your character to regenerate energy points, which are needed for different attack combos. At the beginning of the game especially, it will be necessary to do this quite often. You can also choose to use Weak Hit as well, which also regenerates energy.
d) Item- Use items to help you in battle. These will restore health points and cure ailments.

3. SKILL SETS (Combos)

4. Walkthrough

Area 1 Terr
- Okay, you start out inside your home. The first thing you’ll want to do is grab the stuff from the chest for some cash and potions.
- Afterwards, head outside and explore Terr. Talk to the people who will provide some information. There’s also a healing house near the graveyard you can use to heal up for free whenever you would like. In another house, somebody will give you a charm that prevents critical hits. Before leaving, visit the shop and buy a couple of extra potions, and keep coming back to stalk up on potions when you have extra money.
- When you are ready to leave, visit the old man Crog near the exit. He’ll give you some armor to equip and then head outside to speak with him again.
- Crog will give you a basic battle tutorial and then set you on your way. Before you head off to the cave, it is encouraged that you attempt to gain a few levels in the forests to the north and east of Terr. The slimes in these woods are fairly easy, although at such a low level and HP you may find yourself needing to restore a few times until you’ve acquired a few levels. If you do need to restore, do so at the free healing spot in Terr, don’t waste your potions.
- Once you get to level 2, just keep using the initial “Punch” skills on the slimes and you won’t have to worry about using weak attacks or defending.
- Once you get to level 3, you should be ready to tackle the cave without too many problems. However, know that once you enter the cave you cannot leave until you have completed the task. So make sure you are fully healed and save before you venture forth into the cave.

Area 2 Cave
- When you exit the town, the cave is on your right.
-You’ll need to level up to at least level 4 in this cave, preferably 5 because then you will become significantly stronger and your avatar will look older. Since you have time to grind, you’ll want to find the treasures with potions in them.
- Talk to the old man out your task. Another younger man behind him will offer supplies and equipment upgrades you can buy when you have earned some gold, but make sure to also keep up with a steady supply of potions as well. Once you have learned heal skills, you won’t have to rely on potions as much. Just to the right and up is a chest containing Skill Book 1 with skills for levels 1-5. Take the right path and descend the stairs. The bottom left switch is the one that activates the stone mechanisms. Ascend the stairs and take the East path to get a chest. Go back and head down the stairs again. Keep following the descended path all the way to the end and step on the final two switches. When you are finished, head back to the beginning of the cave.
- This time time the left path and descend the second set of stairs. The switch activates the stones and now your path is free. Follow the newly opened path and take the right turn. It will take you up, and far to the left. The first turn South leads to a potion. Once you have it, head back up.
- Continue South and then go right. There are some stairs leading up here, so first you should follow it North for the first chest. When you’re done, head back to the statue and it will give you a hint (that you can jump across small spaces). Go downwards and to the right and press ‘X’ to jump the small gap and get the second chest. Head back and descend the stairs again.
- Head West, and the path takes you far to the North. There is a save point here, and you will be healed completely. Ignore the stairs heading North. Instead go East.
- Take the first stairs going up and activate the switch, then get the chest. It’s time to fight the main enemy of the dungeon.
- The mysterious foe is a pretty straight forward battle, just keep using your favorite attacks and watch your HP. Grab the crystal ball after the battle is ended, and then trek back to the start of the cave. Speak with the old man and then leave.

Area 3 Meso
- After watching the tragedy of your massacred town, head back out to the world map. Go to the dock to the west to get your boat and take the short ride west to the next continent
- A few things to note. The next town is called Meso. You can battle around the forest area north of Meso, which is generally populated with snakes. You should fight around until you get to level 6, if you are not there yet, and make sure to accept the “HEAL 1” skill when offered, as it’s very much needed. At this point, snakes team up in groups of 2 or 3, so make sure to use the Heal Skill by selecting Attacks in the menu or a potion between battles, if you needs be. Further north is an enemy encampment, which looks like a cave. You may want to hold off until you’ve completed the quest for Meso and had a chance to gain some more experience. There’s also a cave further west, but you cannot enter it until you’ve completed the task in Meso.
- Once you are done exploring, enter Meso. There is a doctor at the entrance here who will heal your wounds. There are monsters lurking around the town. You cannot enter any of the houses, but if you search the shop you will find a few potions. Afterwards, work your way up North and make sure to save at the fly. To the right of the castle is Skill Book 2 with skills for levels 6-10.
- Enter the castle and take the left stairway at the end of the hall. There’s another chest here with a potion.
- Go back and take the right stairway. It’s pretty straight forward from here, just be sure you are level 6 when you fight the boss, you’ll need your HEAL1 skill against him (I hope you chose that one when leveling up).
- When you are done, retrace your steps to leave the town. I recommend not leaving this area until you are level 7 or 8. However, at level 8, you will have the option to take Rush Whirl, an attack that hits all enemies at once! This attack will make the upcoming areas much easier.

Area 4 (Sidequest) Enemy Camp 1
- At this point, you should be able to take on the encampment to the north. As you won’t be venturing back this way, go ahead and do so now before heading west to the next cave. You’ll end up walking over it without going in, so when you are on top of the encampment, press the action key and select yes. However, note you will not be able to leave until you find the loot. You can’t see the loot, so you’ll just need to walk around until you find it. It’s actually a Wooden Helmet, so if you already have one just hold onto this until you can sell it.
- Head for the cave west of Meso.

Area 5 Mountains 1
- You might want to buy some antidotes and potions from the dude, but skip everything else for now. A note about potions. You have HEAL 1, however if you deplete all your energy using high end attacks in battle, you won’t have much energy outside of battle. Keep this in mind when choosing your attacks. However, the more you level up, the more energy you will also have outside battle to use heal skills.
- The arachnids can get nasty here, so make sure to keep your HP in check and fill up after battle, if needed. The approach that works best for me when they come in groups of 3 is to use Rush Whirl on them, then defend or use a potion to replenish energy, then use Rush Whirl again.
- Follow the path all the way to the west to get to the treasure chest. Retrace your steps and take the other path.
- When at the fork, take a right and follow it all the way east, then all the way south. At the end of the path is another chest.
- Retrace back to the initial fork. Now faced with 3 paths, take the south one to get the last chest.
- Retrace again, now follow the middle path and it will eventually lead you back to the world map. It is recommended that you be at level 9 by this point.

Area 6 Aisrep and Sapra
- Aisrep doesn’t have much to do in. Upgrade a couple pieces of armor, it may be worth it for the upcoming battles. After your fight through the cave, you should have plenty of gold for the more expensive armaments. If not, I recommend fighting for gold to get these, as it will greatly enhance your boost over the normal upgrades.
- The first building you see on the left has a Charm 2 inside.
- The building right next to it, labeled “Shop”, is actually an inn, but if you have HEAL 1, it may be useless to use the inn.
- You’ll want to introduce yourself to PIC, an important character of the game. He lives in the large house to the NorthEast.
- After talking to Pic, head to the house at the Northwest end of town (it says raft on it) and attempt to enter. Go to the small dock right above and the raft will appear. It will lead you to another map to the East. Stand on what looks like a crystal ball and press the action key to be transported across the island to the continent to the North. The village you are in now is called Sapra. To the lower right of Sapra is Skill Book 3 with skills for levels 11-15. Buy whatever supplies you may need (same equipment as Aisrep, nothing new) and then talk to Pic. When you are ready, forge ahead to the frontlines of the battle.
- You will fight 3 battles with groups of 2 Northern Soldiers, they are more powerful than you are used to, so you may want to try your luck with heavier attacks. Be warned, however, these often miss. Note: A good attack combo for me was to use Heavy Swing followed by Slash on each enemy, while healing as needed.
- Once you’ve seen the small cutscene, you’re back on the world map. Talk to Pic again and he’ll tell you that his daughter was taken away during the battle. Before you go after her, however, you will want to visit the town of Lanfros.
- Follow the disjointed path to the West, and when it breaks away to the NorthWest, follow it. This will take you to another mountain area. Note that the area is populated with some tough enemies if you want to level yourself up. By the time you get to level 12, you’ll also have enough energy to keep using Rush Whirl over and over without resting, a benefit for encounters with multiple monsters. You can use HEAL 1 to restore HP, as well as any of the few small huts located throughout that will serve as inns if you are low on energy following a fight.

Area 7 Mountains 2
- If you are level 12, this will go much smoother with your Rush Whirl.
At the intersection, go west until you come to another intersection that continues west or goes north. Take the path north until you get a chest full of antidotes.
- Go south to retrace your steps until you get to the intersection again, then continue west until you see another chest for a Titanium Shield. Afterwards, head all the way back to where you entered the cave.
- This time, go north until you hit a wall. Then go all the way east, all the way south, and finally east again until you find a treasure chest with a Defense Up.
- Now go north and then slightly west, until you see a set of stairs. Climb the stairs, stand as far west on the ledge you can, and press the action key to jump to the next ledge. There you’ll find a treasure chest with Skill Book 4, detailing the list of skills you can get for levels 16-20.
- Now it gets kind of tricky, because you can’t see the ledge just west of here. Go to the western edge of the ledge where you got the skill book and press the action key. To get the new ledge to appear, just walk a bit to the east and then west again. That should get the screen to start scrolling again. Walk west, jump to the next ledge. Follow the ledge all the way north. Jump north to the ledge with the stairs and take the stairs down.
- Walk west and then south to a save fly. Heal up if you need to and save the game. Keep walking west until you see a set of stairs going north.
- Take the stairs north until you get to the ledge, then jump north to the next ledge with stairs.
- Now take the stairs down, go west all the way, and then north for a chest containing a potion.
- Retrace your steps all the way back to the save fly.
- From the save fly, go east to the stairs, take the stairs up, walk to the northern edge of the ledge and jump to the next ledge just north of it.
- Walk all the way north, then jump to the ledge just east.
- Follow the path all the way east, then south, descend the stairs, and continue to follow the path east and north to exit the cave.
- Now important to know: Do not go back into the cave just yet, or you will end up back at the far entrance where you started, meaning you’d have to go through the cave again if you wish to come back and visit the town.
- Go north and enter the town of Lanfros. Here you can enter the houses from the side by following the path.
- In the town of Lanfros, just do what you need to do. Make sure to talk to Helen at the top of the map before leaving, as it sets a sidequest in motion.

Area 8 (Sidequest) Enemy camps 2-4
- Enemy camps are usually mazes to walk around until you’ve stepped on the loot hidden inside (it’s invisible).
- By destroying all enemy encampments, you will eventually have access to a large amount of goodies. There are 27 encampments on the world map.
- One camp is just NorthWest of the mountain 2 entrance, the place you just left.
- The next camp is found by following the disjointed path from the first.
- The next camp is behind the mountains just to the West of you west across the mountains.
- When you’ve done your duty, head south to the Volcano where Pic’s daughter is being held.

Area 9 Volcano
- It may not look like it, but this area is centered around a big boiling pit of lava. There’s quite a bit to be found in this area, and the enemies are a lot more difficult than you’ve been used to. If you aren’t level 12 you’re a bit below where you wanna be. At level 13 you can opt for Attack Up to give you an offensive boost in battle.
- If you’ve been heavily reliant on Rush Whirl up til now, you may want to give it a rest. The best method, both against a Skeleton Warrior and Fire Lizards, is to alternate each turn between two accurate moves. For instance, if you have Tricky Slash, use that and Slash or Stab.
- The map is pretty straight forward. Going North only leads to a person who tells you that the demon dragged off a girl into the center of the volcano. Go East and enter the cave.
- The path is straight forward. You’ll come out of the cave on the left with one more on the right. If you wish to save, go west to the save fairy, then take the right cave.
- The path is straight forward. When you come out, take the stairs on the right and follow it until the intersection. Go south and follow it all the way for a chest with 5 Omniantidotes. Then follow it back to the intersection and go north passed the next intersection, and then follow the path west and north all the way until you get the next chest with Steel Armor.
- Go all the way back to the intersection you just passed and go east and then north to the next cave and keep following the linear path until you come to a set of stairs prior to an intersection. Go west and north for a chest with 5 Teardrops. Return and go east and north.
- The cave will take you to a save fairy, so save if you need to then take the stairs just west of the cave.
- Most paths lead to dead end or empty chests, so from the entrance go south and then as far east as you can go. Head south a part way and then take the split that goes right. Keep following it out of the cave and to the chest that contains Gate Key 3, which can be used in Atlantis.
- Head back to the previous intersection and then go south to face the demon. He can be hard, so if you drop to about 40 HP, make sure to heal yourself, as the demon can hit for upwards of 30+ and usually goes first. Afterwards, talk to Balta to leave the volcano. By now you should be around levels 14 to 15.

Area 10 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 5-6
- These two camps are on the same continent as before. After the volcano you should be ready to start destroying these. They sometimes hold some valuable items.
- Go back to Sapra, the town overrun with Northern soldiers. Head North, and when you come to some mountain regions on the right, go east.
- The last camp is located in the trees, just SouthEast of the Knights’ sanctuary where you’ll be heading next.

Area 11 Sanctuary
- In order to enter Sanctuary, you’ll need to go into your inventory and use the Sanctuary Pass.
- This part is pretty self-explanatory. You find out that in order to travel to the land of Eden, you must help the Knights of Eden to find the FIRE SWORD and the HOLY CHERUB.
- When you leave the Sanctuary, a person will be standing beside you, talk to them and find out that the Knight Balta has arranged for you to have a boat to go wherever you may please. Walk up to the dock and then you can use the boat.

Area 12 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 7
- A small piece of land to the North has a person standing on it. They will tell you that the next town you should likely be visiting is NorthWest.
- Also, you will find enemy encampment number 7 here as well, just walk south west from the man until you find it.
- Note that the camps start becoming increasingly difficult from here on out, so be prepared.

Area 13 Connival
- Once you have cleared the camp head to the town the man mentioned. Just hop into your boat, go west and north around the island with the man, and then when you see the new land follow it west until you see the town, which looks like a city from the world map. You have a few things to do before you can start looking for the Fire Sword.
- This is the town of Connival. Upgrading your armor would probably be a wise investment now.
- Talk to the man at the Northern exit, right by the gate. He’ll tell you that he has the password you need to enter the underground city of Atlantis. However, you need to find his Ranger’s Badge first.
- Back outside of the city is a man who provides a clue to the Flaming Sword.

Area 14 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 8-11
- Once you’ve exited Connival, there is a grouping of enemy camps directly NorthEast of you. It is recommended you do this now for two reasons: the first is it is a great way to level up your hero and extremely easy to win the battles. The second reason is that it is tedious, and you may as well do it now while you still have your Rush Whirl attack (if you had chosen it before). It disappears at level 20, which you will likely become during these battles or shortly thereafter.
- Just use Rush Whirl if you have it. These enemies are weak but they take a long time to beat.
- From Connival, head all the way east and then north for an enemy camp.
- Continue west and then south around the mountains for the next camp.
- Go back to Connival. Follow the disjointed road Northwest all the way until you see a marker by the road. Go north and take down the next camp.
- Go back to the marker by the road and go west, passed the Fantasy Maze (we’ll come back here shortly). Go as far west as you can, and then as far north as you can go, skipping the houses for now, and then west again for another camp.

Area 15 Houses
- Now, the houses you’ve passed may reveal information or loot, so let’s check them out. From the last camp you fought, go back east to the house you see, where a lady talks about the Cherub.
- From here, go south and enter the house. Somebody rambles about likes and dislikes and somebody else talks about the earthquakes.
- Further south another lady will give you the Ranger Badge. But we won’t need to run back to Connival just yet, because we have other important business to take care of first.
- Northeast of this house is another house with a lady selling defense/speed up items for a hefty cost.

Area 16 Fantasy Maze
- Now it’s time to hit up the Fantasy Maze mentioned awhile back. From where you are head southeast. If you get lost, the maze is located NorthWest of Connival. It must be said now, this area is a bitch. Check RMN (Rpgmaker.net) gamepage for a picture of it.
- Monsters here mainly consist of wolves and oaks, both of which plain suck and are time consuming, but generally drop decent EXP. I have found Blinding Strike works good on the wolves, and paralyze hits all, so definitely use that against wolves and oaks, which prevents the enemy from attacking for a few moves. It doesn’t always work, but when it does, it’s a definite help as it means you can dispatch enemies much faster and easier, especially with groups of 3 oaks. Once you’ve leveled up to 20, a lot of your attacks will go away, but Paralyze will remain, and you’ll get Warrior Strike which is pretty effective and you can use it over and over without depleting your energy, so even at levels above 20, I’d still recommend using Warrior Strike on your enemies.
- From the start, go west, follow the path to the first intersection you see, go west again, passed the next intersection, and then follow the path as far north as it will go. Talk a couple steps to the east, and then north again for a chest with 3 Tear Drops.
- Not much else to do around this spot, so go south all the way again and make your way east towards the entrance.
- Okay, now go all the way east passed the entrance, skipping the intersections, then keep following the path northward. When you start going west again, go north at the intersection and keep going north until you see the chest with 3 Tear Drops.
- Okay, go back toward the entrance, but right before you hit the entrance take the intersection just a few steps east and go north and follow the path around until you come to another intersection with 3 possible routes. Take the route going west, and follow that route north passed the next intersection and follow the path all the way east. Go north and stay to the far left path. You’ll eventually come across a chest with an Iron Armor.
- Now keep following the path south all the way again, then all the way east, and then all the way south, and then finally all the way east, to the very right path that you can take north. Follow this path all the way around until you come to a set of two possible northern paths. Take the one on the right up for a chest containing a Titanium Shield.
- Now follow the path south again and take the left path this time. Follow it up and around, and at the intersection just keep going north to the next intersection. You can go west for a save fairy, if you’d like, and then go as far east as you can. Keep following the path until you get to the chest with an Iron Helmet.
- From this chest, keep following the path north and around to the sign for the park, then go east into the park for a chest with Skill Book 6 covering skills for levels 26-30 and a chest with the Golis Pass.
- Now, there’s still one more thing you can do. Leave the park, go south passed the chest you opened with the Iron Helmet, and keep working your way south. When you come to a path on your left that goes north (it’s right before the 3 way intersection where going west takes you to the save fairy), take it.
- Keep following this path around until you make your way west and south to an intersection. You’ll see some dumb kid just out of reach, but don’t fret about him, cause all he says is “he’s lost” or something like that. Anyway, go west at this intersection, and at the next intersection go east around the flowers. Follow the path around until you see some odd looking trees. Walk through the top of the uppermost three trees on the left and hit the action key. Assuming you spoke with Helen in Lafros to set this side quest in motion, she will appear here now. If you did not speak with her in Lafros, oh well.
- Well, that’s it. To exit the maze, keep following the path out to the flowers where you can go either north or south. Go north and eventually you should be able to find your way out. Like I said, this maze can be pretty aggravating, so if you’re under level 25 before leaving you should stick around awhile. At level 25, you are presented with an Attack All and an Attack All+ skill. Don’t take the ‘+’ skill, unless you want a challenge, as it only works 70% of the time. At level 27, you should be able to use your Attack All over and over again without having to regain energy.

Area 17 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 12-14
- There’s a few more Enemy Camps we can take on before going back to Connival. From the Fantasy Maze, walk NorthEast between the mountains and forest, until you see the road marker that talks about the desert lands.
- Directly south of this marker you’ll meet a boy investigating earthquakes, and a bit SouthEast of the boy is a set of three enemy camps.
- Clear them out, and then head back toward Connival. You can get to Connival by going all the way south and east from the Fantasy Maze.

Area 18 Tying Up Loose Ends (Sidequest) Enemy Camp 15-21
- Return to Connival and talk to the man at the northern gates. You’ll need to select the Ranger’s Badge from the inventory before doing so. He’ll give you the password to Atlantis, where the Flaming Sword is said to be.
- Go out of the city, hop into your boat, and head west to find the continent where Atlantis will also be located on. This is large area to explore, and there are a total of 7 enemy camps in a total, but I recommend finding them all now so you don’t have to worry about it later. Besides, the enemies here are pretty easy to contend with.
- Park your ship and go directly west from the hut where you can stay and refresh your health (you may have to walk south a few steps to get around the mountains) until you find a group of 3 camps. Take them all out.
- Now head back east, and right before you get to the little inn hut, go south a little bit, and then east to find the next camp.
-Now walk west and then south, and keep following the island around until you see a strange ice-like structure. This is Atlantis, but we won’t be going here just yet. Keep going west and then north to the furthest reach of the island where another set of 3 camps await.
- Now head on back to the city of Atlantis, which we passed a moment ago.

Area 19 Atlantis
- The first wise choice would be to visit the armor shop and upgrade your equipment. We’re still a little way off from visiting the last town.
- Finding loot in the town is pretty easy, so I’ll leave that out here. You will also find Skill Book 5 with skills for levels 21-25.
- When approaching the castle, you’ll see two sets of stairs. The left leads to a save fly, and the right leads to a bonus area (if you walk North, East is a dead end). It is here that you can use the gate keys to obtain a special item. Go into your inventory and click on the keys to use them. You’ll need a 3 Gate Keys, though. You get Charm 3.
- The Chief’s private quarters is straight North of the entrance. If you take the right path from there, the third left takes you to a room with a bunch of chests. There are 3 teardrops in one of them.
- If you take the left path, however, and take the second right, you eventually be led to a defense up. Retrace and take the first right, it will take you straight to the chief, with a lot of winding halls and rooms along the way.
- The Chief is easy enough, just watch your energy and use whichever moves are working best for you. Don’t use the fire skill if you have it, his flaming sword blocks it. You may want to start off using Attack All two or three times to kill of the pair of Mystic Fish before laying single attacks against the Chief.
- When you are done, you have the option of killing the Chief by talking to him again. BE WARNED! This leads you on the path of evil, which eventually turns into the alternate ending. If you’d like to see both, make a second save file now and kill him for the second slot save file.
- Retrace your steps all the way back, you should be around level 28 by now. It is time to raid some more camps and get the HOLY CHERUB!

Area 20 Tying Loose Ends 2 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 22-23
- Time to take on some additional Enemy Camps. Note the enemies in these camps will become progressively harder, so be prepared to heal often in between battles and about every other round until you’ve leveled up some more. Strength Assault works nicely against these creatures.
- Go back to your boat and make your way to the previous island with the town of Connival. From here, hug the island as you sail west and north around it. You’ll eventually come to an island with palm trees. Go passed this to an island just slightly north and east of this for an enemy camp.
- Once you’ve cleared that out, hop back onto your boat and head due east until you hit another island with a bunch of palm trees. You’ll see an enemy camp just a bit south on this island, so take care of it.
- Well, only 4 more to go, but we’ll get there soon enough. By the way, you should be around Level 30 now with all the fighting that you’ve been doing.
- To the NorthWest are a couple of houses. One of them allows for cheats, if you so wish to use them, but where’s the fun in that?
- From the enemy camp you just cleared out, it’s time to hit the next destination. My advice, get into your boat and sail north and east around this island until you come to a channel that goes between two islands with mountains on both sides. When you cannot go any further, get off your boat by stepping onto the island to the west of you until you see the road marks that point out the Sand Tower, where the HOLY CHERUB is. The Sand Tower should be to the southwest from where you parked the boat.

Area 21 Sand Tower
- This is a fairly small area, quite a relief if you got lost in Atlantis.
- You should be about level 29 or 30 before coming here (the enemies are a lot stronger than before, and you’ll really have to be tactful when using skills to defeat them). When it comes to using Heal3 or Heal4, better safe than sorry. In fact, if you don’t have Heal3, you should stock up on Tear Drops before coming here.
- Area 1 is is straight forward.
- Area 2- take a right to be led to a room with 10 potions. The other path will lead you to the third area.
- Area 3- when the path finally splits, take the first one for a chest with Skill Book 7 (for skill levels 32-40) you want to skip the next two and take the following turn.
- Now you will be tested by a Knight, assumedly in the service of Eden, but not part of the team you’re working for. Use your highest attacks on him and watch your HP. I found that Second Strike works well here and depending on your level you won’t have to mess around trying to replenish your energy.
- You have the choice to kill him if you want. If you killed the Atlantis Chief, and you kill this one, you are to be faced with the final decision VERY soon to achieve the alternate (evil) ending.
- Retrace your way back out, you should hopefully be at either level 31 or 32 by now. At level 32 you can opt for a stronger Attack All (Rush Whirl 2).
- It’s time to finish up some side quests once and for all!

Area 22 Tying Loose Ends 3 (Sidequest) Enemy Camps 24-27
- Hop back onto your boat, sail north through the channel and when you can go east. When you see the pure white island, sail south around it until you see the next island with a camp. Clear it out.
- Now, hop back onto the boat, sail it north, east, and then south around this island and keep following down and around until the island breaks off into a sort of peninsula, where you will the next camp surrounded by mountains. Get off where you can and head this camp.
- After you have cleared this camp, get on your boat and sail west. In this forested area is a lady who sells a Teleporter, but it is very buggy. See Section 6 (Tips and Tricks) for more details. It’s the very last section of the guide.
- From the lady, keep sailing south and west until you see the next camp. You know the drill.
- Once done, it’s time to find the last camp. From this camp, sail around north around it, so that the last camp you cleared is on your right and get off in the far north. You are back near Connival, with an inn on your left. The path splits north two ways, with mountains in the middle. Walk north taking the left path until the forest trees become palm trees, and then follow it around west and south for the final camp. Yay!!!!!!
- Now walk back to the beginning of the palm trees, then walk northwest between the mountains, and when you can, walk east. You’ll come to Fantasy Maze 2.

Area 23 Fantasy Maze 2
- There’s not much to be had in this place, but whatever.
- All the way left is an empty chest. Come back around, skip the first intersection you see, take the next for 3 Teardrops.
- Go back to the entrance, take the very left path north from the entrance, and follow it to the intersection. At the intersection, go north to the next intersection, then go as far right. Go north and when it breaks off to the west, go as far west as you can then keep heading north for the next chest. This holds a Magic Pendant, which cuts energy use in half. NICE!
- One more chest to get. Head back to the entrance, then go left and take the next northern path you see. It sits in between the path you just took and the path you previously took to get the 3 Teardrops. Follow this path all the way around, and at the intersection, head west and then north, and go east at the next intersection. Follow this all the way around for a chest containing a Dragon Scale.
- That’s it, you can leave now.
- Time to tackle one last spot before we can move towards the final leg of the game. Follow the disjointed road east and then south until you see the town of Golis. If you bothered to get the pass in the first Fantasy Maze way back before Atlantis, you can enter this town (you’ll need to use the pass from the menu item list). If not, well either go after the pass or skip ahead to the next segment of the game.

Area 24 Golis
- The first thing you want to do is meet Helen again (if you’ve met her twice already). Go North to the little telephone. Her favorite song had something to do with a lake, so pick Children of Bodom, Lake Bodom as the ringtone. She will show up and a small marriage cutscene will occur. Don’t worry, this cheesy scene has a point to it. Talk to her once more to get Dragon Scale as a wedding present. What a gal!
- Now go to the North house. Go into your inventory and select each key you obtained from the enemy encampments simultaneously. You will then be able to access the treasure chest for the most powerful armor in the game, Dragon Armor!
- If you failed to complete these sidequests, the shops are still the best in the game, so take advantage of all that hard earned money and buy something!
- When you are ready to go, it’s time to get back to your boat. Hopefully you remember where you left it.
- You also won’t be needing much of your money here on out, so if you want you can spend it on some expensive Defense and Speed Up items. There’s a house that sells it somewhere in the vicinity of the first Fantasy Maze.
- Well, that’s about all for here, so let’s move on with the game. Your next spot is to return to Sanctuary.

Area 25 Eden
- Go back to the continent below Pangea to the Knights’ sanctuary. When you get to the magical post in the main room, go into your inventory and use both the FIRE SWORD and the HOLY CHERUB. You need to stand on top of the pillar with the globe on the upper right for the teleport to work.
- You will then be teleported via the magical post to Eden. It may look like you’re in the same sanctuary, but you are in fact in another one. Talk to the knights. Then exit to examine your new surroundings.
- The city to the NorthEast is where the knights are headed, so go there for your mission.
- After talking to them all, enter the cave-like crawlspace behind them and you’re ready to go.

Area 26 Evil Castle
- Head north, enter the enemy’s stronghold and walk north into the building.
- The enemies are quite tough, but you should be able to handle them by now. The path north takes you to Skill Book 8 with skills for levels 45-50. The path right takes you to a baddie A combination of Second Strike and Heal 3 worked well for me.
- Easy enough, right? Kill him and then you will proceed north to face off against the Serpent Mage. Make sure to heal up before you do, because he can be tough. Unlike before, you won’t be able to restore energy, so you want to be selective on the attacks you use. Solution, use cheap attacks like Warrior or Hard Strike. Anything stronger than that may wipe out your energy too early, and you’ll have to resort to using nothing but weak attacks. Also, hopefully you have the Magic Pendant equipped to lower the cost of energy.
- After you’re transported back outside, you’ll see an airship. Get inside and zoom your way over to the sanctuary. Teleport back to Eden and this time head to the Garden of Eden.

Area 27 Garden of Eden
- You should probably be somewhere in the vicinity of level 32 or higher, which will make the upcoming areas a fair walk in the park. Anything lower, and you might want to grind and level up.
- It’s pretty straight forward. Take the very right path and follow it north and you will eventually find a chest with 3 Teardrops, a Body Shield, a Save Fairy, and a Dragon Helmet.
- Take the very left path and follow it north and you will eventually find a chest with 3 Teardrops, an Armadillo Armor, and the path to the next screen.
- In the next screen, speak with the knights and then get ready to fight against Balta. The fight is easy compared to the previous one with the Serpent Mage. A combination of Second Strike and Heal 3 does the trick.

Area 28 Final Act
- You’ll be transported back to a ruined and lifeless Pangea. Balta is using the evil castle you just raided, so you’ll now have to take the long winding way around the continent to get there now that the continent has broken up.
- If battles get too frustrating, you may want to just escape, unless you need to still level up. Also note you can no longer enter any dungeon map, house, or town you previously were able to. Also, you can save at any time.
- Anyways, start by heading southeast to where Connival is.
- Then head northeast through the gate structure.
- From here, go east all the way to the edge of the island, then north until you see the water dipping down. From here, go east a bit, and then north, taking the path just left of the mountains.
- Keep going northwest until you are passed the mountains, and then keep going north. When you hit the trees, walk northwest around the trees. You’ll eventually find the walled city that once housed the evil castle.
- Go through the broken areas of the wall, keep going northwest, and enter the evil city where you will confront Balta one last time.
- Balta is no harder than before, so use the same Second Strike/Heal 3 method as before. Congratulations on completing the game.

5. Side Quests

1. There are 27 enemy encampments to raid. The prize for this can be obtained in the secret city of Golis.
2. The Golis Pass can be found in the Fantasy Maze.
3. Get all 3 Gate Keys for a prize in Atlantis.
4. Marriage Quest. Find Helen in Lanfros, then the Fantasy Maze (behind the big trees to the North, where the skies are clear), and then in Golis. This will give you a special piece of armor when you talk to her a final time.
5. Evil path. To get the bad ending, you must kill the Atlantan chief, then the cherub guardian, and then you are presented with the option of joining Balta in her reign of terror. You must agree with her to get this ending.

6. Tips and Tricks
(The following were submitted by Amerk, to whom I give my sincere thanks!)

1. Fantasy Maze
I did learn a trick that makes getting passed that much easier and faster. By the time you are leveled up enough, you can choose either Flame Sword or Ice Sword, I believe, but these take off too much energy, so you almost always need to defend or use a weak attack in between each attack, which is a lengthy chore when you have 3 Oaks. Warrior Strike and later on Hard Strike are almost just as effective, and can be used as many times as you need without depleting all of your energy (since by this time you only drop so low), which means I can take an Oak out in 3 or 4 turns, verses 6 to 8. Also, if anybody has Paralyze, this works wonders here, especially against the Oaks. Most times it paralyzes 1 or 2 of the Oaks, which means I don't have to waste time having them strike me back, and Paralyze seems to last anywhere from about 4 to 6 turns. This definitely shaves off a lot of time fighting in this area, and allows me to quickly level up, so something positive in this otherwise confusing area.

2. Teleport Bug
I've encountered an interesting bug, one that can easily be worked around if somebody knows what to do. It involves the boat you get from Sanctuary. Anyway, here is the bug.

NE of Connival, you find a lady selling Teleporter. Very convenient to teleport to cities you've already been to, as long as they are on the same continent you are currently on. But if the city happens to be on another continent, your boat does not come with you. You end up stuck on that continent with no way off. To fix this, you would need to use Teleport again (good thing this has unlimited use) and teleport back to Sanctuary, head to the dock, and the boat will suddenly reappear at the dock in Sanctuary.

Another interesting thing to this bug is that if you are in the boat when you use Teleport, your boat ends up next to the city you are teleporting to, on dry land. Kind of funny, actually. No way to move the boat off land except as stated before... teleport to Sanctuary, head to the dock, and the boat will reappear at the dock.
