A cute short game about a girl who can talk to monster

It actually has been quite a long time since i played this game, but i feel like i should give this game a review. So here i go.

This game is actually pretty short (just around one area/dungeon), with cute graphics which can be recognized from Sword of Mana. For those who haven't play Sword of Mana yet, the graphics are better than default asset and much or less the same as most GBA games graphics, which makes the game quite charming. Most of the environment and even the monster are using the sprite from the game, although there are some which is not. The dialogue box looks cute, although imo, the name/picture section (the left part) will look better if it's using a bigger font size.

The story isn't really big since it is a short game, but it's pretty simple and explained well enough. There isn't much talk in the game except in the beginning and the end of the game. Since the game isn't really talking about difficult/expert materials, you can read the story very fast (or maybe skip some dialogues) and still understand most of it. Basically, you are a girl who can talk to a monster and you have to save your monster friends from evil. Sadly, although you can talk to a monster, you can't ask them to join your party and help you battle.

The battle system is very different from most RPG Maker games. Since this is an action RPG Maker game, you can move your character freely, and attack your opponent. You can either attack them physically or magically (with spell) to hit your opponent. Of course you will risk yourself getting hit if you are using physical attack, but sadly, you can't really spam spells to kill all your opponents because you can be running out of FP (mana or MP in this game) very fast and there is no item to recover it. The only way to restore your FP is by waiting (and it took quite long to do it).

Although you can't recover your FP, you can still recover your HP with an item. However, you can't really buy items until you are about to face the final boss. The only way for you to get the items are from monsters. You have to beat all monsters in an area to get an item drop and you can only do it once per screen because after you cleared all monsters in an area, they won't respawn.

You have an equipment slot and you can get the equipments from monster drops. I doubt that it really make any difference though. Surprisingly, you can get some money, and you can spend it. The sad thing is, the amount of money you can earn is limited because of the no respawn rule and again, you can only use your money when you are about to face the last boss.

If you are thinking that the battle system is a pain in the ass, or maybe you just suck in it, do not worry because there aren't much battles (although it's essential to beating the game) to begin with. You also have auto revives (or you can say lifes, or hearts), which can be used around twice and will be useful if you are having trouble to beat the opponent. You also can buy an extra heart later on, which is great.

Pros:
- Cute graphics
- Unique battle system
- No random encounters (but sadly the monster encounter is limited)

Cons:
- Limited revives/lifes/hearts
- Slow FP/MP recovery
