Ideas for quests

I'm making a new city for this game. So I need new quest ideas for the Thieves Guild, Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, and some misc quests. Does anyone have any good ideas for quests?

Maybe one of the thieves guild quest could be to poison a visiting noble in the tavern!
You had to get the ingredients for the poison from a contact or chemist in town, and then get to the attic of the tavern and poison his wine barrel!

... or something like that haha. though granted is more an assassins's guild type of quest than a thieves guild.

Yeah it is more like an assassin's quest. But I like that idea. I don't really want the thieves guild in this game to be "the bad guys." because in Morrowind and Oblivion, you were really just supposed to steal things for the thieves guild. And in Oblivion, if you killed someone on a thieves guild quest, you were kicked out and you had to pay reparations.

well perhaps you could have it be a sleeping potion to knock the guy down instead of poison...
that way you can steal something in his room or something...
Just steal ideas from Morrowind or Oblivion.
FIGHTERS GUILD QUEST:
- The heroes are sent out to an island to rescue someone. Upon arriving at the island, their weapons are destroyed and their boat is sank. Just like the person they are there to rescue. You need to find the dungeon, get the key, rescue the person and then escape before getting killed by a mage that disintegrated your weapons.

MAGES GUILD QUEST:
- Summoned by a nobleman, you need to visit the nobleman's tower and enchant a scimetar for him. He will reward you greatly, however, he wants it for his own evil purposes. He intends to murder his business partner with it. The choice is yours to stop him, warn the partner or just not care at all.

THIEVES GUILD QUEST:
- You are sent to bribe a guard to look the other way for a robery that will take place next week. The guard likes a certain rare potion. You can either find the potion, bribe him, kill him or make sure he oversleeps his shift next week.
I do have an idea, but I'm going to wait until this game has tons and tons of stuff before I suggest it. I just want to know that it's tonally there for this quest.

Go ahead and give your idea. I havent really been working on this game recently because I don't have much time and I'm playing other games right now like Oblivion.
Okay. Basically, you're in a giant tower, and the only way to escape is to get to the top floor (of 5) and fight your way to a portal. However, the tower is filled with chests and chests of treasure. For every chest that you open, the monsters become more powerful, and if you open every chest, there is a 50% chance that your character goes insane and chooses to never leave the tower, in hopes that there is even more treasure, leading to a game over.
Originally, I was going to include this in my own game, but I am not an experienced enough coder, and I think your game is good enough to give my idea to.

Thanks for this idea. It feels like something that would happen on Shivering Isles in Oblivion. Its a cool idea, but I do have a ton of things to program and not sure if I can get around to building a tower.

Well, I could probably make the tower, but the scripting to do that sounds pretty tough, and I only have RTP.

Well, I could probably make the tower, but the scripting to do that sounds pretty tough, and I only have RTP.
No, you don't need to make a tower for me. I honestly don't have a clue on how I will be able to get community involvement into this project. I'm not good at working with others and assigning them tasks. This game will probably not really be THAT big in the end.
Just release the game as open source, and have people send it to your after they make their changes.
