Looks like your tiles are starting to come together nicely. Strong SD3 vibe, but that isnt a bad style to emulate.

Thanks! Frankly I am emulating it pretty closely because I wanted to learn a bit more from it. I'm still not done yet though so I have plenty more to work on.
And you said you suck at GUIs. It looks fine. 8V
Yeah, the HUD is nice. Easy to read and doesn't take all the space.
Maybe you should have your skills and weapons GUI parts on the bottom left of the screen, just my 2 cents.

Tiles are neeto.
Truly nice i love the BG sprites! The character sprite also is really detailed and... plain awesome. HUD's really nice too. Only thing i have to complain is the blockyness in the tiles (since you're emulating SD3, I'd say to get rid of the blocky stuff) but I guess they're blocky just because this is an early mapping phase (or possible tile test room, as i haven't yet played this game)

Oh, I understand that. This map is really just a testmap but yeah I do want to make it more natural looking. Both in how it's mapped and the tiles themselves.

My priority right now though is to finish up the battle system first before I continue on with that. Since I'm changing skills and all, I need to code in the new effects, and more enemies/enemy AI.
