The arrows are a little tacky. Maybe you should remove them and cue the player with something else like a grass border around the areas you can't jump from?
Well, the problem with that is that the arrows actually point out on-map actions. It won't just be jumping. There's things like hidden chests/passages, double-jump areas, climbing cliff parts to name a few. I liked the arrows as a general, consistent guide to things that can be effected.

I guess I could have them be on/off toggleable, but considering you need to know where things can be effected in order to progress, I'm not sure it's worth it.
the arrows look fine imo. though they'd look best if they weren't static (e.g. if they bob up and down or something). of course for all i know they might already not be static, considering it's a still screenshot

Probably not worth it either, but instead of toggleable, how about making them appear only if they're within a 5x5 area around the character, that way you get to encourage exploration a bit more. ...But I like the arrows as they are now anyway. ^^
