The continent of Tairngire, E.C 759.

Regrets and Desires

*peeks head in to check no-one is around, then sneaks in*

Wow... it feels almost alien for me to sit down and write another blog (No. 198 as of writing). Not to mention the last blog for this game was written more than two years ago. And because Icebound is still pending, I'll probably just write the blog here.

So you'd probably be asking me why I'm writing another piece for a game that was completed in November 2014?

Well, thing is... The commercial evil is calling out to me. Like most hobbyists, I do dream about making a full-time living out of doing something I love so I can quit my dreary, soul-sucking 8-5 job.

It can seriously stifle the creative spirit and probably one of the reasons why my game-dev passion just vanished a few years ago. But now, having reached the ripe old age of 30 and forever leaving my twenties behind, I figured that:

1) I can't take life too seriously (most of my games have been pretty serious)
2) Let go of past grudges and
3) It is about high-time I decided to make the life I want to live and not be slave to a dreary job where getting a double bonus at the end of the year makes it bearable (it isn't).

I've also decided to buck-up on my art skills so that when I do go commercial one day, I can at least save myself a few hundred bucks by not hiring an artist. zero-project's (my music-muse) music is free for all commercial work, so that's one less problem to worry about.

Hello Laine, my old friend.

I'm also feeling a bit overwhelmed at trying to familiarise myself with MV. The engine has enormous potential, but all these plug-ins... Yanfly is seriously on a roll. To someone who has been using VX since late 2010-early 2011, to me it feels like the equivalent of going from paddling around in a baby pool, to diving off the 10-metre springboard. But I know it will pay off in the long-term. But I'll probably end up making a few short games in MV before taking this huge step.

It's exciting, but also terrifying at the same time. I need to let go of my innermost fears and just release all that pent-up creative energy. What is my innermost fears, you ask?

Well...

It is the fear of failure. Also, the fear of letting down people who expect great things from you, who expect you to be at the top of your game no matter what. But worst of all, for me at least, is when someone (whether in real life or on the internet) expresses immense disappointment in you. That... has always struck me hard and always sits like a lead balloon in my chest.

As to what happened about a year-and a half ago...

I regret it, and bitterly. I lost a few good friends that day, and I still it to this day. Every time I thought about RMN during my hiatus, that was the first incident I thought of. But I guess I'll have to learn to live with it.

So, here's to a better and more productive 2018! No more fears, no more past regrets, and no more looking back.

This is Luchi, who is now officially back from the dead, signing out.
Blog No. 198 written.

Also, the blog title is totally not a reference to an episode in Granblue.

I think you're also less than 50 away from 3000 downloads too :). How are you going on hitting the top 10 for subscribers?
40 DLs away from 3000. XD
I'm quite sure I'm tied with Sailerius' Vacant Sky now. Probably need 1 or 2 more. Course, I need to maintain that number of subbers until the site results for June come out. And that's easier said that done.
I downloaded the game palayed a bit and then gut stuck?

There seems to be a temple with a door riddle. How do i get through these anoyying doors?

After knocking a question mark appears and that's about it then nothing happens anymore? I have equipped the sledgehammer in the hope destroying those doors but nothing happened?

The abandoned temple with the bandits, after the port has been attacked? Unequip the hammer and try again.
Man, I seriously need to fix that event. XD

Edit: I added it to the Hints and Puzzle solutions page now.

Well I'm sure you can correct it in the new version, if Vol II is being included as part of one large game.

Does that mean you'll get rid of the game page for Black Tempest? Shame, I really did like the colour scheme.
Yeah, I see no point in having a game page for Vol II now, since it is an immediate sequel ( and I did like the blue colour scheme too ). I'll probably do a couple of fixes for Vol I and nerf some skills ( since Cillian's Piercing Thrust was a little too OP'ed ). Probably because I forgot to add a cooldown to it, so the player could use it indefinitely.

Hmm, definitely going to use my save game then, that skill helped a great deal in the Eos Shrine :).

Congrats on 3K downloads BTW.
Oh, I'm sure it will come in use. Vol II is much harder than Vol I. No more cakewalks. XD

Ok, rethinking that weird idea to get you back to work on this one...joking, of course.

Better warn Sir Addit though.

Great…tone down the most effective move in the entire game, IMO. *groans*

Well, that’s official - I’m keeping my old save file. I don’t want to even think about doing the entire Eos Shrine again with those two buggers in there being even more harder than they were before in the next installment - hell no.

Oh, one other thing that I forgot to mention, you remember how you could get Elixir's in McGregor from that merchant for nothing? Well, apparently, you can also get that too from the item shop lady in Lothlorien as well. I was going to say something earlier 'bout that but I ended up sleeping on it (quite literally).

Looks like you got a lot of changes to do. Get a-crackin'! *cracks whip*

I'll just be eating this big bowl of Orville Redenbacher popcorn while you're addit.

(Lol, I make bad pun.)
^ Oh yeah, I've already ditched the free Elixirs from those stores, along with a bunch of other changes ( Wounded status disappears after battle, Sledgehammer can't be sold, Pat no longer magically appears at that healing stream after he leaves etc. ).

And the new Enelys Tower is much harder than the Eos Shrine. :p Maybe the enemies are a little too strong at the mo', so I'd better nerf 'em.

Where can i find the traveler pass?

You can't in the first volume.
@supergamer: Yeah, the area beyond that will only open up in Vol II. =)
I downloaded version 3 recently and when I start up the game it claims that a lot of assets are missing incuding the select.

Use windows 8 and winrar for extracting.

Transfer over the audio file that is included in the extraction into the main game file, that should fix it.
Very hard at times yet very fun. You should have seen my sad face screaming noo when I saw Volume I end. Yes sudden princess and 2 knights is very fire emblem. I hope you will continue to shower us with great games.
Hello everyone!

First of all I want to say I'm enjoying the game very much.
There're a few bugs, but they're not game breaking.

Now, I need help. I'm in Eos Temple. I opened the right door, after there is a big room, where I need another lever, and after that room is a small room with 2 statues. Moved two statues, but nothing happening. Where's 2nd lever?

Please help!!!!

Never mind. Figured it.
