So, I got my PC back, so work can resume like normal, only I've lost my zest for this entire project... But it's probably personal issues just bothering me and the thing that happened over at... the other site. I'm sad, mad and very depressed about it. That and the fact that everyone is salivating over Ace, which means that precious few of us will still be using VX, and I'm afraid all attention will probably shift to Ace games from now on.
I'm not porting, nor am I getting Ace.
Aargh, I have to get rid of this negative mindset of mine! God dammnit, Luchi! Get a grip on yourself!! *somebody shake me, or even better, slap me* SLAP ME NOW!!!

Count me among them. I figure that the allure of migrating to Ace as have others here and elsewhere is hard to resist. In the end, it´s not the development engine which makes the game good or bad, but rather what the developer was able to accomplish with it. Seeing what you have accomplished so far, I would say to you "Snap out of it!". No need to fork $90 ...

I agree about ACE; I haven't seen a whole lot from it, but I have seen TONS of awesome games made in the older versions of RM (Hero's Realm and almost anything made by kentona, Forever's End, Last Scenario, etc.) Enelysion will easily make that list once you git 'er done!
Also, don't put so much pressure on yourself! Making games should be fun, not a huge stressor, at least not a negative one.

You've already poured so much time into this game on VX, there's no reason anyone should expect you to switch over. So just keep doing what you're doing and just be fine with it! And of course, you're on a site that still fawns over RM2k/2k3 games! No need to worry so bad. And if anyone knocks you for continuing to use VX, point me in the right direction and I'll go knock a few heads.

Ehhh, who needs Ace when you already have a good thing goin'? It ain't the engine, it's the game. True, Ace makes making games easier and is a more powerful engine, but Ace is just Ace, just like VX is simply VX. Enelysion is the special thing here, and I don't think anyone is gonna fault you the engine it's on. (And if they do, well... count me in when it comes to knocking heads. BI)

If anything, migrating your project from one maker to another seems like a game-killing idea. You'd have to tune a mountain of small things just to make it work properly as was, and would you really be gaining anything out of it?
