Jun-13-11 There will be a remake before very long

It's hard to believe it's been so long since this game was made. Really, it was made before Final Fantasy IX was released in North America. Windows 98 was the newest operating system at the time. So, why is it I come back to it as well as parts I, II and V?

Sadly, unlike Dragon Kingdoms I & II (which run on SNES emulation which probably isn't going to disappear anytime soon- if ever), this game is on an almost completely unsupported engine that as WolfCoder says, may not even work on future systems.

RPG Maker 95+ already had to be hacked once to get it to work on Windows XP, Vista and 7. It might not run on Windows 8 when it's released later this year (the same might be true of RM2k & 2k3, but RPG Maker 20XX takes care of that). Therefore, Dragon Kingdoms III needs a remake more than any of the other games in the series for this reason.

The only correct choice is to convert RM95's graphics for RMXP/VX and remake it in those! (preferbly VX because XP trips up DEP which is hilariously inexcusable and when if* Windows sets it to OptIn mode by default XP breaks completely without being whitelisted!)

* this will never happen
Do you have a link to I and II? Just out of morbid curiosity.
