Introduction:
How can I say this, I've been planning on making this game since freshman year (Now I'm a high school graduate). I don't have that much free time on my hands but I kept on pushing myself to make my creations alive and here's the result.

Before you guys go ballistic: The only custom-made things I've done were the characters (Portraits, animations, etc...), storyline, systems, items, and well... most over-world sprites. I'll tell you about its features later on, but for now, let's just enjoy the info I'm providing you.

And a note, I'm not really good with English as it isn't my native language, so expect for some dialogue to sound awkward. (I'm Asian, you should know we tend to use "Engrish" at times without even knowing). But I will try my best to make them as fluent as possible since I am currently having a Native English-speaking friend help me out on proofreading.

Features:
- ATB System
- Party Swap System (This is done by talking with one of the main characters walking around in a mission)
- "Charge" Command. A defend command that not only makes you defend, but also lets you recover a set amount of FP (Flow Points) depending on the character you're using it with.
- Real Time Cutscenes.
- "Aura" equipment. These equips increase your resistance against status ailments depending on how powerful they are.
- Custom Character Battle Animations.
- Some battles will be challenging.
- Jump system.
- Puzzles.
- Battle voices.
- Action commands. IE, pressing "1" will let Ether use "Heaven's Fist"
- Extra Mode: (Extra scenarios, parody chapters, etc...)
- Hidden Playable characters. *Evil Laugh*
- More to come on further releases

Setting:
The world "Caelum"

Brief Info:
The Supernatural and the Natural meet in the planet Caelum.

Year 3115, the central government of the world started to pursue the Kanotian race (A race related to the japanese) due to their "cursed" status and the events that happened in the past involving Edel Sky and the Seven Seraphs. Ether Animulus (The main character) realized this and emerged. With the help of his comrades (Particularly Kozi Taisa), the proud man stopped at nothing to rebel against the government's actions.

However, the man had doubts about the reason behind the purge. Was it really that Kanotians were such cursed beings that they must be get rid of? Or was it something else?

The truth will reveal itself. And only the faithful will make it happen.

It's not the end of the world!

While this series has been cancelled due to "complications", there's a glimmer of hope for its -INEVITABLE- resurrection...

But that's after I finish this large-scale solo project of mine which I'm going to release later this year.

If you've been keeping up with my Youtube channel, you'll notice that one pseudo 8-bit RPG with sidescrolling maps floating somewhere around the page. That right there is somewhat the spiritual successor of RC, only with a lot more new content to explore.

Needless to say, I'm very satisfied with how the game turned out to be and I'm probably going to make make a game page here soon (No demos this time. I'd rather release the whole thing!).

It's also important to note that the game will be expansive and these "expansions" will come in forms of patches.

So yeah! I hope you guys will look forward to it!

Okay, I've play your demo and got to say I liked it, the custom sprites and everything is very cool. But at parts it feels your pushing the story on us all at once, when it could go abit slower. I mean the main character talked alot for someone that got there butt kicked by that masked man. With that said I love it and looking forward to more. ^_^

I started playing your game, really like it, interesting, make sure to keep it ^ (its supposed to be an arrow pointing upwards!)

I have a problem with the battles against bees and other insects in the big field because there is no store and I keep getting poisoned ? but I suppose that's because its a demo and probably the end of it?

So you're exploring the big field eh? Oh and sorry I didn't provide directions to go to the next town, but the demo doesn't end that quickly.

The next town you're going to is Caesura, and it's located on the far south of the Field. Just keep going south until you reach it and there will be a store that will have Antidotes for you to use.

Also if you explore some more, you might stumble upon a jump pad (Those shining stars that let you jump). If you did, there will be a few treasure orbs scattered throughout the location you jumped into. One of them will contain an antidote.

Again, sorry for the missing directions XD

There are a few updates that I've made, but they're all blogged so you're going to have to check the blogs in order to keep up with the game's production status. XD
Liking the game so far, nice bgm and animations, though right now I'm stumped in the sonata prison lol lever with the 4 switches thing, bit confusing. xD

There's a plaque near it that hints out what order you're supposed to press the switches. And since the switches are arranged like a compass, it corresponds to what the plaque is saying. Just a hint (;

Thought I would give this a try.

So I'm still pretty early in the demo, but I gotta say, the text speed is PAINFULLY slow. Like, excruciatingly so. The text seems also... dense? Lots of big words and big concept being thrown about with no real background (is there any reason why ever word you made up is 15 syllables long and completely unpronouncable? It makes it really hard to remember what is what and who is who because all the words look like gibberish to me), and it's really shallow at the same time.

I'm too weak to beat the guy in the intro... because I need power? Seems sorta self-explanatory. Definitely not worth two text boxes's worth of super slow text.

The graphics are nice, and the battles seem like they could be interesting (still too early to tell) but I gotta say, the text speed is killing me. I'll keep playing and see how it all falls out, though. I'll let you know

Edit: To be fair, I'm not entirely sure that it's the actual speed of the text, at least some of it looks like standard speed. It's all the damn pauses and the fact that I can't play this in the editor and "shift" my way through the text.

This word is derived from the word "Kantianism", a philosophy that revolves around duty rather than emotion and judgment. You'll see why the "kanotoian" race are named after that word later on in the game.

Lastly, you're judging way too much based on the beginning. As if you already what's the meaning behind everything. Sure "power" is what he needed, but what kind of power? Consider that thought. Anyway, seems the only real problem was the text, I'll keep that in mind and take off the pauses for future releases. Sound fair?

And I recently have a friend helping me out with my game's dialogue, so expect big changes to the game's story script on the next release :)

Well, it's not like I quit playing. But frankly, people do judge games on the beginning part. This is just a basic fact of game design - you have to get your player drawn in (and not annoyed) very fast. Also, I understood that the power reference was about something specific. I was mostly just pointing out that that piece of dialog was repetitive, clunky, and circular.

I'm looking forward to see the changes on the next release! The story seems good, so I'm sure a few script changes will make a big difference.
I really like the art style on this. All these little guys are original, right?
