Bah, all this talk of rm2k3 is making my head spin lately. And I won't lie, every time I open this project, I just go... do I really want to... I think my problem is that I'm lacking a lot of motivation to try to continue this game, I've cancelled games before and look ahead with little problems, but this is a project I want to try and continue, but my rm2k3... ness has run so dry it'd take a long time to recharge that kindle I felt years ago during my younger immature and fun times of using rm2k3.

So, with that, I'm going to call this game on hiatus until I can somehow find that spark again with this game. I have remade two games with this one being the third.

Half of this is because I fell with the rest of the crowd of switching to RPG Maker VX Ace. I'm sorry... it's just... it's just too good... I feel like a horrible person betraying the program I've loved for years. Oh rm2k3, it wasn't you... it was me... *sobbing* -ahem- anyway, yeah, so I'm going to release a long demo of what was done so far of P2R. If there is any issues be sure to let me know, I'll hopefully have the game ready by the end of today.

Oh, there's going to be a Phantasia 6 on VX Ace.

Well...I do enjoy 2k3 games a lot better. The tool has its unique charm that can't be replaced by VX.

Please don't cancel this project...:(
I can understand your penchant towards Ace. Even I have to admit, some of my attention is being diverted away from Sim RPG Maker 95.
(Traitor!!!)

I’ll admit, once you’ve gotten your succulent taste for VX Ace it’s unbelievably hard to go back straight, especially if you’ve been using it for a while now like you have. The only reason why I’m still sticking around with Rm2k3 is because, A, I suck at scripting and trying to learn it is taking me a little bit of time; B, most of the games that I’ve already started or planned for are specifically designed with Rm2k3 in mind and are centered around various plugins and patches provided; and C, because I’m just a lot more comfortable still using it. Yeah, yeah, one of these days I’ll switch for good, like the rest of you guys, make a similar blog post like yours and say that VX Ace is just so bloody glorious that why didn’t I switch to it permanently beeeeefoooore!?

But I can forgive your sudden lack of faith with the announcement of a brand new Phantasia 6 for VX Ace. Yes!

I enjoyed the last two Phantasia games that you made, so I’m excepting big things from you with this next instalment. Don’t let us down!

(Oh, and don’t worry about not finishing this up, J-Man. Besides, you can always make a Phantasia 1 - 5 Collector’s Edition for VX Ace after you’re finished with Phantasia 6, lol.)
Phantasia 6 on VXAce... it's amazing how we're running neck to neck right now. Same pattern. Phantasia 1-3 in relative rapid succession, 4 a little slower, 5 the slowest yet, then P1 Remake, P2 Remake and finally Phantasia 6.

(Does this mean we have to learn 3D game development for Phantasia 7 and Dragon Kingdoms VII respectively? Wonder how that's going to work out...)
