As I recall, the file "station_night.jpg" was pulled directly from Studio 74's site. It was not among the backgrounds that were unspoken of by Mr. Help File, to the best of my knowledge.

As for the use of "station_night.jpg", it shares the same source as most other backgrounds this game uses, so that might be why I gave no credit within the context of the files included in her content. It could be that credit was given earlier in her development?

*Edit: I note that no credit was given to the two files from Shira Oka: Second Chances (ie: the SOSC pack), outside of the file-names.
Released my current work-in-progress version of WingGirl/Pathways:

Shika's routes are now implemented - if not really finished.

If anybody would be willing to test out Shika (or the others for that matter) I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.

Hints:
You can play her well enough even if ignoring anyone but her. Himeko might give you some valuable pointers, if you accept her help, though - and there might be ... interference if you include the others or even the build-ins.

Late in her story there's a PHONE call were you have two paths to choose from (Personality or Soul). Your choice DOES have a DRAMATIC impact on her, since she's hasn't an entirely stable mentality.

If you use your intiution to help her with her real problem you can help her heal and eventually you'll get her "sweet" ending.

If you just use your charms on her she'll get very affectionate ... and clingy ... and possesive ...
You then *have* to keep her happy to get the "bitter sweet" ending. Or else.

*EDIT*: forgot one file. Dread. WITH this file it doesn't fit my locker any more :(
Harada Hibiko: Psst. I talked Garage into publishing a short preview of the start of my storyline here.

Notes by the author:
  • It's far from anything like being finished.
  • In the above version her INTRODUCE STORY is hacked so it runs without any external reference. Normally she'd only appear if you ignored Himeko's help.
  • She'll be part of Pathways.
Oops: Language confusion.
I thought that there were many many words in the English language which were borrowed from French especially in gastronomy.

So I assumed that the word separee for a private room or booth in a restaurant would have been borrowed too. Am I wrong?

In other words: how would a waiter of a better then average restaurant tell his guests that he will guide them to the secluded room for which they have reservations?

Or: how would you phrase the following conversation of a young Japanese couple talking with a waiter in a better-then-average Chinese restaurant?

W: Good evening <how are they addressed>
W: Do you have reservations?
Girl: Yes. Table for two. By the name <last>.
W: Ah! Yes. The separee ... please follow me, <polite address>

I have no clue! However, the phrase "private room" or "private table" seems to come to mind?

Welp.

*Edit: Such as...

ID = Waiter
Good evening, sir and madam. Do you have a reservation?
ID = Girl
Yes. A table for two by the name of "<last>".
ID = 0
(The waiter is checking over a list of names.)
ID = Waiter
Mmm. A private table is at the ready for you. If you would follow me?

Welp.
Why Welp?

I think I'll rewrite my scene to something like your suggestion.

BTW: two of my chars currently will be checking for several competitors. One of them might get into a mood where she'll be very ... sad ... if Kazuhiko follows other routes, the other one will be inclined to step down if he finds someone she considers "better" then herself.

What are your feelings on them checking for Masako? They won't interact with her, only call Kazuhiko out on his actions.

Currently there's a trigger for dating Masako and one for scoring her ending ... like this:

WG_Pathways/shika_profile.txt, masako_profile.txt

STORY 10010
CONDITION = 9087 DONE IN WG_Pathways/pathways.txt
CONDITION = 9091 NOT DONE IN WG_Pathways/pathways.txt
CONDITION = 98 LOVESICK
DATING = 10
(I feel like somebody's watching me ...)
(Oh, well ... maybe I'm just imaging things.)
ID = 98
AFFECTION DOWN
CONTINUE

STORY 11010
CONDITION = <cesnsored> DONE IN masako_story.txt
PLACE = Bedroom
PRIORITY = High
(I woke up from a dream about Masako kissing me ...)
(I do hope we'll meet again as she promised.)
A: 9087 DONE IN WG_Pathways/pathways.txt AND 9091 NOT DONE IN WG_Pathways/pathways.txt

BRANCH A
(But what will Shika say if she found out?)
(She has a way of finding things out ... and she sure won't be happy with me.)
ID = 98
AFFECTION DOWN
JUMP somewhere IN WG_Pathways/hibiko.txt

Where <censored> is the ID of the switch that enbales Masako's ending.
The STORY 10010 might influence Masako's route slightly as there's a possibility that an non-High-prio DATING story of hers might get delayed because of that.

In one of Shika's routes Kazuhiko has to keep her at LOVESICK or she get excessively "unhappy" with him

That story should not impact Masako's route at all, if memory serves me right. Can your characters call <player> out for dating her simultaneously with one of them? Sure.

Though, I get the odd impression that Masako is dream-kissing in that one story.

Well the final event with Masako has a certain dreamlike quality but to me it still feels real.

About my story: yup. He dreamt it. But it's used just as a klugde.

Shika doesn't react to the dream instead she senses he's feeling something for someone besides her and
she's stalking him and thus knows at least something about the real events leading to his dream.

The switches referenced from pathways.txt indicate a certain ... state of mind ... of Shika.

I'm not too sure about how I wrote this route ... how it feels for someone other then it's author.

Speaking of need for feedback - here' my current version of WingGirl and Pathways:

(no longer up-to-date see below)

There are 4 pursueable girls with a total of 8 different ENDINGs in WingGirl and Pathways combined.

It's not entirely finished, but I consider it playable (and hopefully enjoyable).
Just a by-drop by your retired overseer, people -

Garage? Please give the ladies eyebrows. Even a hint of them, if in-story they burned off or were otherwise removed.

Hibiko: Domo arigatou gozaimasu, Dozen-sama.
I've been trying to convince him for weeks ... At least he did listen to you!

Hope that's better?

BTW: Latest version of WingGirl and WG_Pathways, including eyebrows

wg_pathways_v2_0.zip
winggirl_v2_0.zip

EDIT: Now officially released.
Thank you for your most polite consideration~! Well done. Proceed.
@Kevincalanor: I just noticed that I never asked you permission to use HouseNight.jpg from Eliza's tachie directory (aka Wolfypack) in my content.

Is that OK with you?

And if yes: should I keep a copy of it in my own stuff or include a stub directory tachie\wolfypack containing just that one picture?
Here's an early preview of my next character, Hayashi Kitsune.

I'd be especially interested in any remarks about her looks. That foxy reddish brown color theme is intended. And she should look a bit ... feral, unusual. Maybe even a bit scary ... but more in the way that we're scare by strangeness - she's a kind person, actually ... once you know her.

Here are two of her tachie for a quick glance.

@Marrend: I'd like to reserve ID 106 for her.
Edit: latest version (coming along ...)

ID #106 is on reservation!

As an aside, I think that would bring you up to seven characters now? I dunno. I remember looking at the post you made in the finished content thread for the character listing in Winggirl-Pathways, and thinking "Darigaaz, that's a ton of characters!"

Thank you for reserving Kitsune's ID.

Both parts of WingGirl together are 4 dateable characters, two very important side characters with their own stories, two cameos who are important enough to have own tachie and a handfull of invisible cameos.

That's 6 characters with enough of a own story to justify an official ID, yes.

I'm planing for Kitsune to have much more simplistic a route. She's not suposed to interact with anybody but Kazuhiko himself.

Edit: sorry for the bean counting ... but ID's 97-99 should be consdired "finished" I think. ;)

"Finished" isn't a tag for the ID-listing on the tech thread. However, the "in progress" mark has been removed. Thanks for reminding me!

*thumbs up*
Dread ... Does somebody know where I could find an alternative to the Hot Springs background? I'd like to have one which allowed enough room for this scene:

ID = 106
Race you to the other side. Ready?
Go!
ID = 0
(She ... dashed ... away at an incredible speed.)
(I tried to follow her but immediately realized that I was way too slow for her.)
(So I watched her speed through the pool instead. She almost made no waves at all.)
(Her movements were so elegant so ... graceful. I just couldn't help but stare.)

Yep. I know ... I should just move this to a swimming pool or forget about it.
And don't mind the exact grammar or wordings, this is an early version.
Here's a nearly-complete version of Kitsune's route ... if I didn't make too many bad errors it should be playable and solveable.

EDIT: She's considered finished.

She's not meant as an "easy catch", though.

I want to check something.
If Riku would dress like this:

why did she use that color. What would you guess?
