Just remember this, guys; rushing often leads to disaster. Better to have a working functional project than a forced unplayable one.
Any news for you? Are you good healt?
Hellooo-ween, the dead to emerges from the shadows
Been reminded awhile ago that while a couple copies have been shared, the male tachie that I've made along with garage at the start of the year has never been 'officially' released. And that's because I never got to finish it. .-.
Replicating Yu-chan art style always has been a complicated task, when it combined with the sheer amount of armparts+outfits to make...
The project of making a male tachie outlived my plans to make a route and thus got postphoned for months on end. Therefore, I'll just upload the current version as is, it's currently VERY limited as long as poses are concerned, but is still usable, the color palette and a few unmerged parts are also included. (The Blazer, a Shirt and a Hair)
Hopefully these will help anyone interested in continuing the project or making their own parts get to know the ropes.

As for another thing I don't think I've shared yet, have a tutorial on light based two-tone hair, like the one the girl on the pic has. ^^

By the way I've been using this for my projects (see my profile if you're interested) - so I think the male tachie really is useful (if limited in terms of possible poses).

Am I a bad boy for thinking I'd like to script this effect so I could somehow put into my little tachie-thingy?

Anyway, your stories even idea was 135465768766745435453 times more better than my own...
Don´t be down....

Oh, I'm not really down. I don't have quite as much time on my hands as I'd like, and November isn't the cheeriest month anyway ... but all in all I'm doing just fine.
A bit less productive than I'd like to be and way too distractible but fine ;)

Gave it a try today, I'll send some feedback your way when I get a bit more mileage on it ^^

Not at all, less time spent fiddling with tutorials for the asset creation is more time for writing the story after all ^^
As a extra detail on the process:
The hairs are merged because the levels command is a bit finicky (probably based on the overall lightness of the layer), so the hairs parts may mismatch if edited separately, however, this whole 'setting up a layer mask' can (probably) be ditched by using fixed pre-cut overlays with soft transparency.
It'd be a bit more limited in the possibilities but much easier to set-up.

Yay! Feedback! Always love feedback.

Yeah. That's along the lines of what I figured could work.
Currently, I'm thinking of putting an "add-higlight" button (or something) in the recoloring dialogue, give the user a slider-with-two-nobs-thingy for defining the levels and than another recoloring dialogue for that effect layer. (I don't know if I'm clear enough ...)
End-result would be an extra layer for highlighting for every part that uses a recoloring of that type.
Maybe users could be allowed to add more than one higlighting layer? (For example one which modifies the dark parts and another one for the lighter parts?)
Oh, and maybe this would work for clothing too? (I'm not too sure about that, but being able to do a little experimenting wouldn't hurt).

I'm sure you could come up with a pretty good story, as long as you had someone to help you out with fine-tuning.
An updated version of Seher Amjad (a character I showed here a while back);
I must thank Kevincalanor for his excellent additions to the tachie palettes.

Uhh...what exactly do you mean by this?

I read it as "I literally just noticed her mouth now."
