There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.
Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

She's more like, "Here's this character that is super-energetic, and being super-friendly is how she reacts to practically everybody ever." That's not to say that you need a character that is super-energetic and super-friendly. However, relaying key personality traits, and letting the story come naturally from that, would probably come off as a more genuine character.
Note: You posted in an archived thread. We would appreciate that, in the furture, you posted questions pertaining to storytelling in a more current thread. Questions pertaining to writing code would go to a different thread.

We know. I filed a report on that a week ago. Flowerthief is in no position to take care of it these days however, and the rest of us have no or limited access and control over the site.
Being the only other person, outside of flowerthief himself, who has any kind of administrative access to the main site, this is a rather sad story to admit to. Suffice it to say, it's rather aggravating, but I literally have no clue when things will be up and running again.
Mental note: It might behoove me to to change the the "dead" threads that the main site currently uses to "active" ones. However...!

1. This is an archived thread. What are you doing here? Use the technical content creation thread for technical problems! Shoo!>:(

The error occurs because you didn't include a binary path to the profile in the story file, so while the game can load the generic events from the profile, when you want to include her(or anyone else, for that matter) in a story it has no idea where to look. Just paste the used profiles' name onto the first line. I also recommend avoidance of spaces in file names.
3. We are not sending you private messages or e-mails to report on your bugs. We provide community support, not our personal information or consensual slave labor. Any error you may encounter can be discussed here both for convenience and the sake of the quality of our service.

I'm trying to make a custom character (Ajika) and I've followed the entire help guide- but nothing works! It keeps on saying that the ID can't be found.

What's strange is that only making stories gets errors. I can (generically) encounter Ajika fine. Should I try to make a scene that isn't dependent on two characters and have only Ajika appear?
What am I doing wrong?

Of the new threads, I'm finding that "Finished content" is the only one I can put a comment on. Also, what about this thread? There's no link on the front page to this thread anymore (Somebody unchecked the "primary" tab, obviously.), so I'm not sure how one would be able to access it. Unless one knew of it's existence before-hand, or was/is getting notices from it? I know the point was to consolidate comments into sections, but essentially getting rid of all the conversation that's been had so far? At least allow this thread to exist as the "Custom Content Archive", or something!

Content creation (artistic) -- For discussion of the artistic aspects of making content. If you want to get everyone's take on what murder weapon your yandere should prefer, you can ask there.
Content creation (technical) -- For discussion of the technical aspects of making content. If you want to know how to prevent a character from being datable until specific conditions are met, or how to get more than three characters to appear on screen, you can ask there.

The poll, as I am now looking at it, has 29 respondents thus far. Which is still lower than the number of respondents to "If you have tried to create custom content, what has been your biggest obstacle to completing it?" It does seem to be slowly going up, though.
Anyway, I'm not sure I like the idea of doing a poll for favorite NPCs. Though, I'm not going to lie: Chocolate Lady is among my favorite NPCs because she outright breaks the fourth wall. The Drug Dealer is somebody I generally don't mess with. I've never gotten the robo-janitor, so I'm not sure if there's an NPC that gives that to youfor a reasonably exorbitant price, of course.

This is just me thinking (Which is always a dangerous thing), but shall the next poll involve who is the the favorite custom character? Of, course, the option of "I'm making him/her!" would be a viable option.
Or, maybe, this could just be a generally a bad idea. That's been known to happen.

Hmm, I wouldn't want authors to feel bad if their custom characters didn't get many votes. I would actually be more likely to do a poll for "Which Marrend character is your favorite?" :D But then, henceforth, every author who makes half a dozen chars will want their own poll. Still, I just might do it.

I get the feeling that a poll for Marrend-only characters would not generate any actual votes. I could be surprised, though!
Anyway, don't we want authors to generate content? HYPER exists so that authors don't need to make those epic stories if they don't have the time/inclination to make them! Besides, writing for seven characters is quite an accomplishment, regardless of how you look at it!

Nah, none of these are planned as particularly serious characters. In fact, one of the concepts I'm considering is the Chocolate Maiden, the Chocolate Lady's granddaughter who is in training to become the future Chocolate Lady.
The other one, Ruka, isn't actually a dateable character and if she said something that messed with the fourth wall, she would usually add some sort line after it that makes it possible that she wasn't breaking the fourth wall after all. ("So basically, I'm the informant character who tells you how to win your girl's heart. Of course, I do have my price." "Informant character? Why are you talking like this is some sort of dating sim?" "Ferdinand, I've noticed that for guys like you, life is pretty much just one big dating sim.") Or was she...? Duh duh duh duh!
It also doesn't hurt that Ruka's a writer and is up on her tropes and cliches and is pretty darn genre savvy.

@nekochi not that i'm one to comment but becareful with the fourth wall if its over used with a serious character (not mentioning any specific rebel next door characters) it may come across as cheap or out of taste

After that we should do a more general "who is your favorite custom character" poll. Since you have so many, one of the options will probably end up being "one of Marrend's characters." :P We could also do a who is your favorite side character poll, for characters like Hiro, Masashi, Freddy and Sammy, and the Chocolate Lady. Aoi could easily show up in either poll.
Also, I'm seriously considering creating a dateable character who breaks the fourth wall or possibly having Yumemi's sister Ruka do so. I just think that would be a ton of fun to write.

I second that motion. Also, I would suggest that we leave this thread for the creation of content while the new thread talks about existing content. Such as the reviews we were talking about
As a total side note, I am keeping an eye on that poll on the other site. I figure I can give it one more month before doing anything. If it is any consolation, I would have considered making one more if "Just one more!" hit third place on that poll.

Just to be clear, reserving an ID number here is completely voluntary! If you want to be reasonably sure that an ID isn't being used by another author, it is perfectly all right to pick a number that is unlikely to be used by anyone and not announce it. For instance, your zip code. For instance, ID = 95672. (Nah nah! That's not my real zip code...but it's close)
Yep, YEN UP and YEN DOWN calls are in fact planned for the next release, so some interesting plot machinations should be possible with that.
And for what it's worth, failing that Looks check with Tsubasa doesn't shut you out of her route altogether (you do miss out on some optional content and affection bonuses), but I concede that it comes up without adequate warning.
And I second the sentiment that there is no such thing as too many twins :)
