There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.

Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

If you have posted custom content in this thread, I will (eventually) add your link to the list above, along with a small screenshot if you have included one. Be sure to test your content in-game before posting.

Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
ID 0 = The Player
ID 1 = Nakajima Miki
ID 2 = Ikeda Keika
ID 3 = Onishi Tsubasa

Um, Animetor, is Sarah Orden a transfer student from America?

Yeah

@Ichimaru: Names are but labels that Men put on things they don't understand.

I'm making stuff up about Sarah. Fell free to seriously consider or utterly discard, Animetor:

Sarah has an American father and a Japanese mother. The relationship between her two parents soured, and they became divorced. Her mother took custody, and brought Sarah to Japan.

Every time Sarah's mother looks at her daughter, she is reminded of the pain and sorrow of her former relationship. As for Sarah herself, she attempts to hide her own anguish, but puts forth a brave face regardless.

*Edit: Never mind?
@Marrend
Actually that was along the same lines for another character who I have made, I could post some pictures of her. My story line for Sarah was that the main character helps her overcome her shyness... thanks for the help anyway ^.^

Ah man, you have a character named Junko? I was actually in the process of creating a custom character of my own named Junko. Does your Junko play a large part in your story? I'd prefer not to have to think up a new name for her if I don't have to.
Terada Junko is not a datable character for the Uchioniko quad-tech. She's an NPC (teacher) that shows up exactly two times for Mayu's story. As for how important she is, I think she's fairly important both times she's around.

Saying this, these facts shouldn't stop you from making a character who has the given name of Junko. Maybe give her a different family name, though?

Oh, of course. Her family name is Watanabe. Hopefully I won't be unlucky enough that someone else was already using that too. XD

By the way, couldn't resist adding a couple of screenshots. These are from Junko's introduction event.

Yes, as she's on the track team, she knows Masashi. Let's just say that she's less than impressed.

By the way, I had another question. I have Aoi added in the profile, but I haven't added her into the game yet with any story events or anything. However, I keep running into her and she'll say "excuse me" and the PC says, "do I know that girl?" Is there a way to keep that from happening? Will it go away once I create an introduction event of my own for her?

I'm guessing the reason Aoi shows up with a "general" introduce event is because the character doesn't have a story that has an introduce event! To prevent this from happening, until you are ready to test Aoi anyway, you could move Aoi's files into a separate directory. Though, specifying an INTRODUCE story with an impossible, or nigh-impossible condition (Like, CONDITION = DAY 1024, for example) would also remove the more general event and Aoi wouldn't show up!
I added an introduction event where "a random elementary school student" (aka Aoi) is waiting at the gates after school for her big sister and the PC talks to her briefly and that seems to fix the problem. :) Thanks for the help.

I also got to add the line "(This wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I said I wanted to meet a girl...)", which I at least think is pretty funny.
I wanted to have an event after school that took all day. Is there a way that you can skip visiting somewhere after school and go straight to the phone screen after an event?

Edit: Second question. Is there a location screen for the front of the school at sunset? Having one would really help me out.

As far as I know, there is no way to go directly from school phase to phone phase. The best you can do at the moment is have an event during school phase (wherein the character says where the afternoon phase event will be), then have the follow-up event in the afternoon phase with a HIGH priority. Though there's no guarantee that the player will go to that location the same day they get the message that she's waiting with this work-around.

Second question. Is there a location screen for the front of the school at sunset? Having one would really help me out.

Like this, perhaps? Note that whatever "custom backdrop" you do use would have to be placed in an OTHER slot. And that's just to have the backdrop without the character there. If the character appears, that's another OTHER slot. If the character portrays a range of emotions with this backdrop, that would be even more OTHER slots. If another character appears, that's probably another OTHER slot. And so on, and so forth. Good thing we have unlimited OTHER slots now, huh?
Well, I guess it's not that big a deal. It will just go from being sunset at the school to being daytime wherever the player goes after school. It bugs me a little, but it's not the end of the world. I thought for sure there was a scene in Hanami's story (where you searched for her after school) that this was the case, but maybe I'm mistaken. And if I'm not, maybe flowerthief will be able to tell me how he did it since it wasn't obvious from the code.

And thank you for the screenshot of the front at sunset. There's already a built in background for the grounds at sunset so I'll try and make that work first since it's a little easier, but that will really help me out if I decide to do the front of the school after all. I have it saved in case I need it. ^-^

And yes, I'm very glad we have unlimited OTHER slots now. I'm thinking of actually having Aoi show up in my ending in person, since she'd just be starting high school about the time the ending took place and could be wearing the high school uniform. That means I could have her show up without having to mess with the graphics to make more outfits. ^-^
@Marrend
Thanks. But are you sure you want your email address visible like that? If you ever want me to change that let me know.

@Nekochi
In order for a character to show up on the phone call screen, her name must be known to the player character. You can prevent a character from being listed there by setting things so that her name is never known. Make sure that "Generic encounters" is set to "Off" and "Name Known" is set to "No".

In story events, when you need to adjust her tachie, use "ID={number}" commands to set the active speaker in the usual way. But to actually set her as the active speaker, use "ID={any text}" instead (In this case it'd be "ID=Aoi"). In this way you can make it appear as if her name is known when it technically isn't. Also, the font color for her speaking lines will be black, which is a tip to players that this character is not pursuable.

About ID numbers... As long as the profiles are in separate files, conflicts will only happen if both characters appear in the same story event. If you supply an ID that's identical to the ID of any of the built-in characters or any future characters, your story should be fine. (unless you want built-in charactes to appear in it)

And welcome :)

Whoops, you must have posted while I was typing.

Okay, to answer the question about sunset pics, I did use a few sunset pics in the story. I didn't want to package all of them in the game (thereby increasing file size) because I didn't think people would use them. I suppose it's not impossible to talk me into changing that.

Anyway, the ones included in the game are:
bathroom A (sunset)
beach (sunset)
grounds (sunset)
roof (sunset)

Those last two might suit your needs. If the plot allows for it, I would recommend having the initial story event begin in the city and jump or branch to the new (sunset) location, like I did with the Hinami events.

That sounds useful! One question though. If I do that will it still show one of Junko's relationships as being "Aoi's big sister"?

Also, do you have any idea about an event skipping over going someplace that day and going straight to the phone screen? Would it do that if I started out the story at Front B and just jumped to another story in a different location or would that not work? If it would work, would jumping to another branch at a different location have the same effect? Because I seem to remember that after the event where you looked for Hanami, it skipped straight to the phone screen. I could be wrong though.
To answer the first question, as long as a character's name isn't known, none of her data will show up on the phone call screen. (The only thing you can't prevent is her story completion stats showing up on the records screen) There's no reason to set relation data anyway, if Aoi isn't pursuable.

The way I did the Hinami event was by first having an event at Front B in which the player meets Akari and agrees to split up and search for her at Market Street. Then at Market Street, there's an event in which he can't find her so he looks some place else. Then the story branches back to the school.

Of course, it's possible that the player doesn't go to Market Street, in which case continuation of the story is postponed until the day that he does. The story never skips directly from the school phase to the phone call phase. There's no way to force that behavior, I'm afraid. I'm reluctant to change this since allowing the player to freely visit locations after school is an important phase of the game. (A player could have a date set up with another girl on the same day as your event, for instance).

The idea was that people who visited there would not have to make an RMN account to get a hold of me. My e-mail is also in the profile, but who looks at that? I suppose the idea was to be accessible, but I suppose you could remove it.
^It doesn't matter to me either way. It's just that you might get spam. Although I suppose it will be awhile before spammers find the site.

@ Nekochi: About characters with graphics that have black text. Perhaps you could have a look at Uchioniko, specifically the story file of Shirazu Izumi, to get ideas for Aio? Though if you want to actually play the game, and go through the motions for Izumi, that's fine too!

Okay. That's fine. Like I said, it's not a big deal. I was hoping to force the player to have to make a sacrifice in order to do the action (which would supposedly take the rest of the day) which would make Junko like him more. However, I can be flexible. I'll just have to suppress my "this doesn't make sense" twitching when it goes from being sunset at the school to afternoon wherever you go next. :P

Oh, by the way. I have one event where Keika recounts some gossip about Junko and I just wanted to make sure it was in character. Would you mind looking it over and seeing what you think? If you don't want to or don't have time, that's fine too.

Looks good! Only line I would say is out of character for Keika is, "You really do have the worst taste in girls, <player>." That's more like something Miki would say. Keika usually doesn't insult the player unless she's around Miki, and then only playfully.
