There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.

Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

If you have posted custom content in this thread, I will (eventually) add your link to the list above, along with a small screenshot if you have included one. Be sure to test your content in-game before posting.

Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
ID 0 = The Player
ID 1 = Nakajima Miki
ID 2 = Ikeda Keika
ID 3 = Onishi Tsubasa
ID 4 = Kaneshiro Shihoko
ID 5 = Kaneshiro Riho

Awww... and I just barely entered nerd mode...T-T
Seeing the characters start to look similar, I really want to do make some custom tachie for people to use for this game now @_@

EDITED : Sorry about accidentally turning this into an h-game :P
You want to 'do' them? Ewww...

Ok, ok, sorry, and thanks, good going:) Maybe you could expand the current set of variations? That'd be the kicker. When graphics kick away from the usual style it tends to alienate people.
Yeah, that's one of my concern. I can draw a whole new set, but they might look different from the current ones.

My problem is I associate body language with characters, and currently they seem very limited :(

Ingenuous! Nobody will suspect that the "h" stands for "hima"!

On a more serious note, why is graphical consistency with the built-in characters an issue? I can see it being an issue if the character "sees" the built-in gals, but if the character does not involved himself/herself with them, why not go off on a tangent? I suppose the graphics should have some manner of quality to them, but other than that, just do whatever one's inspiration says!
I kind of want to see more use of Clean Mode anyway. I'm sure people get tired of those built-in story events after awhile.
I'm not bored of them, personally, but I can understand some people do or will eventually(given why Clean Mode is around in the first place). Maybe if it was selective? As in, you can turn a girl or two on and keep the others off? E.g. 21's and Junko's route could be done with just Miki and Keika on, Kyouki's will be fine with Shihoko, etc. And we could include a file or a portion of a file in the addons that says: 'that girl needs to be there' and as such automatically turns that girl on with the dlc in the files. If the language can handle variables this can't be a hard thing to pull off.

I suppose the graphics should have some manner of quality to them, but other than that, just do whatever one's inspiration says!
I guess it's okay to give it a try. We'll see! If the new turns out better than the old one, then I'll put the line 'conservative idiot' in my description for impeding the awesomeness.

In theory, what Dozen proposes sounds like something a designer of a custom character would be behind. Why mess with girls that the story doesn't even care about? In practice, I dunno how plausible this actually is.

I could be proven wrong, but some built-in characters have dependencies on each other. As a quick example, the only way I've ever met Tsubasa is by going down the shortcut during the Miki race. Also, the only way I've meet Akari is by turning down Tsubasa with her investigations. There may be other ways to meet these young ladies, but that's how I've always meet them. I've never met Shihoko, or Chiemi, so I don't know what kinds of hoops I need to do with them. I've met Riho and Hinami, though.

*Edit: Also, I probably should be the absolute last person to point this out, but where's the busty babes? Unless I'm horribly mistaken, they are "Marrend exclusives"? I dunno. I probably should just wallow is self-disrespect shut up about this.
I'm not sure about it myself. I heard there are some programming languages out there that handle variables messily, if at all. Which is kind of self-demeaning, if anything. Who can LIVE without variables?

Tsubasa has a story event with Shihoko in which the player states she has appropriately larger breasts than the rest, due to her age. It's not visible in-game, however.
Also, you can meet Akari two other ways. Not like I ever figured out why I did when I did, so I looked them up in the files. (Spoilers below)
You either fail a Mind check with Miki where you'd meet Riho(If you have met her by accepting Miki's race challenge, that event never pops up), after which Keika will feel so sorry for you she offers to introduce Akari herself(tho she did have some ulterior motive, thinking it won't work out anyway), or refuse Riho when she asks you to throw the ball back to the baseball team(ohh how shitty I felt about that. I threw the ball at Akari's head dammit...)

And... It's pretty hard not to meet Shihoko-.-'. I think there's an event you get, on the 2.-4. week? (Spoilers below)
You meet her at the school gate, pass the lowest Personality check in the game and wham! You are instant friends. 'She's quite nice, actually.'

I'm starting to think that ENCOUNTERS OFF might work to remove built-in characters that don't matter. Chiemi might still be in the game, since I'm pretty sure she's got encounters disabled to begin with, but it's a possibility.

If it's "pretty hard" to not meet Shihoko, I've be the unluckiest person in the universe. Then again, when was the last time I wasn't playing with custom content? So, I guess my stories about not ever seeing Shihoko prove nothing.

You do realize that both Shihoko and Tsubasa use the, er, "medium chest" (for lack of a better descriptor) for their models, right? Shoko and Masako use the "large" version, and, Emiko, well...!
I did say it's not visible in-game, didn't I?
In Shoko's case it's justified with a lampshade, and adds a good flavor to Masako's persona. No shit. I don't know about Emiko, since I haven't even touched that route, but her appearance's supposed to be a joke, if I heard right.

And that exactly is what I thought, myself, but there still needs to be a condition that sets the encounters off. Hence, variables.

I wouldn't call the way Emiko is drawn a total joke. It was quite an embarrassment for me to make her, that's for sure!

A-anyway, let's change subject!
Well okay. I think it would be a good idea to maintain a public list of the currently used IDs. This way people won't have to check every dlc so the ID they give their char won't overlap with others later on, and also have a reference if they want to include other chars in events. Flowerthief, could you please include this list? After the listed content?
ID 0 = The Player

BTW I found out why did you not meet Shihoko. To get the event I pointed out you'd also need to get that Mind check event I mentioned earlier. What you won't if you've met Riho before. I guess you always go fair and straight in Miki's race? Silly you. I'd try to cheat even if my Player had the Athletics for it.
It should be possible to meet Shihoko in front of the school regardless of any choices you've made previously (*not* attempting the Personality check required for this leads to an alternate way to meet Tsubasa). Also, there's an alternate way to meet Shihoko:

Conspire with Miki to thwart her date with Masashi and you will meet her there at the Fashion Mall. Once again, a Personality check is required, so both methods of meeting Shihoko call for Personality.

I bet few people have seen the alternate way to meet Hinami.

Yep, the built-in stories are such a tangled mess of dependencies that I thought it would be best to have a single switch that turns them all either on or off. Thus Clean Mode.

@Dozen
Okay, I'll add that list. I'm putting you in charge of informing me whenever there are enough new additions to warrant an update :P

Wait what? I said I met Tsubasa by using the shortcut in Miki's race. And the one time I came across Riho was by racing Miki. I may have succeeded that Mind-check you're talking about, though. That would have kicked me out of Shihoko, if I'm reading things correctly. I'm disinclined to look any of this up, so I'm taking your word on things.

Anyway, that list seems pretty accurate to me. Though, if flowerthief wants to double-check that, he's welcome to.

*Edit: This game is buzzing again! What does it meeeeeaaaaaan?

Acknowledged.

No it won't. Also, flowerthief is right. I ASSUMED you won't get that event because introducing Riho twice would make no sense, but Miki does not nesessarily know they've met. So yeah, you must have spamclicked that event or something.

I keep thinking an INTRODUCE event means seeing the character on-screen. Which is why I believe that I've never met Shihoko. I don't see her, and, on top of that, I'm not getting into any random events with her! Whatever. I'm willing to drop this subject.

I suppose I can act as back-up with the list update if Dozen isn't around? Though, I would like a clarification as to how many new additions count as "enough".
As long as it's handled in privs I think 'one' may be appropriate.

I can't see why seeing the girl would be tied to intro... Gods, so that's why! That's why Masako's tachie doesn't show up until you get on her route! What, is she supposed to be invisible until then? He literally bumps into her the first time they meet! How can you miss that? Fix it. Really, Marrend, that's silly.

I'm not sure about literally bumping into Masako. More like, she excuses herself, and the player was temporarily confused. Well, that's how I envision the event, anyway!

*Edit: Unless the player somehow bumps into her... chest? That would make an impression!
Okay, I guess... What about the first library event then? Her tachie only shows up if you pass both checks.
