Heartache 101 sour into sweet; is it as cheesy as it sounds?

No, Actually I had tons of fun.
NOTE: Before I go into the review let me just say something: THIS GAME IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR EVERYONE. It's either you like the genre or not. So keep in mind, that my score (and others) doesn't make the game better than other games in general. It's about the score between this and others similar to the game.

Gameplay

Apart from the usual conversations with the ladies and everyone else, the game has a Mario Party feel. The first part of each day is like a board which you need to land on events in the school day to meet up with ladies. There are other tiles too of course like item tiles which allow you to manipulate around the board depending on the item, etc. (they're just Move Forward 1, Move back 4, etc.)
After school, you get to choose what you want to do and you can boost your trait points effectively. Every Sunday, you have a job which is a Pac-Man Game as a janitor. This is nice, because it breaks off of the constant clicking and reading. Overall it has a nice balance to do each day because it makes you want to think and plan what you need to for the next few days. This is especially true, because certain events that you will need to ultimately woo your potential girlfriend will need certain requirements. So there it adds a lot of trial and error and replay value. Not only does each girl have their own events and storyline, but there's even more! If you have a certain pair of girls that are in love with you (following their respective requirements) they're is even more dialogue to be found. PLUS free downloadable characters and stories. Even more content and gameplay to be found!
5/5

Graphics

Every taiche (the girl's picture models) was well done and they really matched the characters. The backgrounds were fine but the only problem were the hentai magazines in the convenience shop. It wasn't too much of a problem,if your that worried parent, don't worry. There's nothing "showing". Overall, they were good but not amazing.
4/5

Story

They story was amazing. It was plain at the very beginning, but as you continue, the story branches on and on until (if you're a sucker for this kinda stuff) you'll be left wanting more. Each character, even the DLC ones, have they're own different personality traits but as you get into their story, you will eventually start to like them, even if you weren't planning to woo them in the first place. However there was some things that need a tweak. For example, The lovesick stage. The final stage of love there is. Besides they're overly red face (which is cute,) and high demand for you, It is literately the same thing as love story-wise. Although there was some...interesting scenes, (I`m trying not to give any spoilers here...) I wish there was more intimate scenes. and no, I do not mean sex scenes, as we`re trying to keep this game PG-13, I mean something more... special for getting the lovesick stage. However the ``interesting scenes`` keep us motivated. They`re not that bad at all actually.
5/5
Sound

The sound is actually pretty nice a lot of the themes for the girls really matched, and even as you get more popular, the BGM for school is very noticeable and good. Especially the theme for when you're extremely popular. I don't know how to explain it but I kept finding myself dancing to some of the tunes from time to time. Really good music (Could someone send me that soundtrack for me? I want it as my ringtone.)
4.5/5

Summary
This game is the best dating sim out there. It's not too sexual or cheesy. If your a sucker for dating sims, or just simulation in general, You have to get this. If your not, stay clear from this game, for you will get bored easily.
