I do like the way that it looks, however in my opinion it is a little too symmetrical in the sense that the different cracks are in the same relative position on either side. I'm not sure if it would look better otherwise, but I do find my eyes a little drawn to the symmetry.

However, it is not very serious as the symmetry that I speak of isn't very present, but let me know if you see what I mean.

The cracks on the tower were supposed to be placed at random, but I guess they ended up having a certain symmetry. Maybe that's how I thought they should be, as the building itself is symmetrical? I dunno. I should try other variations, such as less cracks, re-radomizing the locations for the cracks, or what-not, to see if I can't get a more varied look.

Right, the cracks are too identical, you could try varying by taking just the top or bottom of each or other combinations, also 4 of each kind really makes it stick out.

I made a re-attempt of this where only three cracks of each kind somewhere on the tower. It just didn't have that "ancient" look to me. So I ended up adding one more of each kind. Then, I recalled a mapping video that giaks did, and wondered if a similar-looking crack was available. It was! So I added a four copies of that one to see how it looked. An argument for symmetry may still exist, but I think I might be on to something with using five different types of cracks rather than four.
