Well this is my first review and I am not a native English speaker but here goes my try on reviewing, also a warning I played this game before the update and then after the update it took me a while to continue playing this game from where I left off:

Graphics:
Are pretty much RTP based on with a few edits which still looks nice has light effects in rooms, clouds, characters and monsters are constantly moving though enemies are just still pictures moving while your characters are moving in place when in battle. Mapping is decent and has a good world map.

Audio:
Music is pretty good since it's original by indie rock style soundtrack written and recorded by the band the Cecil's specially for this game.I enjoyed the songs and the audio of actions are also probably RTP,well the sound fits to what is happening in the game but i think the sudden getting of a special skill or item the song for it maybe to loud all of a sudden.

Story:
The story is basic prophecy hero who is supposed to save Lorewyn from an evil force, the hero who suddenly awakens in Lorewyn as the royal knight Tyrin goes on a quest to try to achieve that. Well I did like the story with a few interesting twists how it all went and what happened to Lorewyn and what all you were supposed to do, but am rather unsatisfied by the ending and the short cut scenes, there could have been more to the ending then just that. Does have humor and puns.

Dungeon Design & Exploration:
Dungeons are smartly done, dead ends, right paths, using several floors to find the right path a few invisible paths, lots of chests with items which aren't to hard to find and using items to help yourself get through obstacles and making paths with them.I did like the dungeons very much but last dungeon felt kinda annoying as did one place with a high random encounter rate
fairy land in normal soze was meant
,the last dungeon felt annoying because it was too much of searching the right path and i couldn't escape many battles.Exploration is pretty linear though you find a town, get to dedicated locations need item to get through solve a riddle which aren't hard only special exploration you can do before end game I think is the four towers which I didn't try so I can't say anything about it.You can also explore towns and villages and talk with npcs and buy items armor and weapons.

Battles:
Battles are side view with a full ATB-action system with random encounters and normal boss encounters, which is turn based. Each character has his own skills the royal knight can use two swords or a sword and a shield with status attacks or just powerful attacks, the dark mage uses elements and statuses that affect the enemy, the light mage can use healing and supportive spells and can hit hard with normal attacks. The battles are mostly easy except a few times they are tricky also happens latter in game and last battle which is hard I only had luck.

Either the enemy attacks you by closing in on you and hitting you or they use a spell which can damage the whole party or just one member of your team or use status that also could make the game more complicated but you can protect yourself against statuses with accesories.I still enjoyed the battles they go rather fast mostly and aren't hard if you get lucky by some boss fights with status affecting them.

Other:
I beat the game in 17 hours I did like the game since it's decent gameplay and has some very creative objectives. So who doesn't enjoy battling enemies, earning money, discovering new towns, villages with npcs, buying new armor, weapons, accessories, following the quest, getting through various dungeons and there is many more to this game, but I don't want to reveal all. I did need a walkthrough though, because there are some tricky parts I wouldn't even think that I have to do there. Music is great, battles are fast and may be mostly beatable as long as you heal yourself either with items or spell. There is a world to discover in this game.
