Boss Battles with a kick... Part 1

Most of my Ideas aren't "Unique", but it does give you an Idea of what the
Final version of my game would be like.

Boss battle - Kate

Nothing too crazy about this battle, unless special requirements are met.
Being a Cat-girl she displays many characteristics of one, So if you cast
a water spell on her, she will go BESERK.

Her Atk, Spd, Def increase... while her M.Def goes down.

& it stacks if you continue... if her health is below 50% and you're still
being Evil with the Water spells, She will unleash an attack that you won't survive. (at the time you fight her)

Boss battle - The Adventures


The Healer - Who doesn't attack but heals the PARTY.
The Warrior - Who does the most damage. (Protects Healer - Physical)
The Thief - Who attacks the most often. (Protects Healer - Status)
The Mage - Who can can spells of entire party. (Protects Healer - Magical)


You can't JUST attack 1 enemy hoping it will die if you hit them often enough.
-Since the Healer will just heal them.-

You will need to Attack Multiple Enemies and wither them all down.
-The Healer would only be able to Heal 1 at a time.-

Once you Defeat an enemy protecting the healer, You could attack them with what was protecting them.

Boss Battle - the Clown (Random encounter)

he isn't very strong but he will have about 5000HP

If you do not kill him after your 1st turn, He throws a Bomb at you and then Runs.
If you DO beat him, you get a Key to unlock a special Chest.

Magic, Skills, & Special Abilities... Part 1

I think in my first Blog, I will talk about the main characters Combat styles.

Sarah (The Mage)
I like magic, but I never really liked having Multiple magic users. So in my game
I thought I'd just combine some of the basic RPG spells and work out from there.

Sarah basics: (Targets 1)
- Fire, Ice, Water, Thunder, Wind, & Earth
- Heal (HP), Cure (status), Protect (Def), Shell (M.Def)


Now instead of adding Fire1, Fire2 , & Fire3... which takes up a large portion of the skill window, I instead added I created 2 Buffs "Focus + Burst".

"Focus" is a buff that when used, it takes all the spells you have and makes them stronger for about 5 turns, but also increases the MP use. (Targets 1)

"Burst" is kind of the same thing, but it makes it so you can target All enemies on the field, & also increases the MP use.

all of this is done with "common events"

Kate (The Thief/Beserker)
I figured I could have a lot of fun with this character, being a cat girl and all.
I gave her the cliche cat girl personality, but I also gave her an extra personality if the right conditions are met.

Kate basics:
- Steal, Run

Not a lot I know, so I thought I'd give her a cool BUFF.

Feline fury - Lvl.1(+10%), Lvl.2(+20%), & Lv.3(+30%)
This buff increases attributes a thief would lack normally. (Strength & Defence)

in addition to that, when used, kate will gain access to "Fury attack"
an Attack that will do multiple hits with every additional LVL. (Max 4 hits)

on the flip side, Kate will go Beserk if she come in contact with water.
like feline fury there are Levels to this rage which increase her stats by 20% per Lvl. however she is now uncontrolable.

if she is at Lvl.4 Rage, and another water spell is cast on her she unleashes a devestating attack. hitting all enemies on the fields, but at a cost. She now reverts to a state of sleep which last a couple of turns but turns her back to normal when she wakes up.

Princess ???? (The brawler)

The ability to crush boulders, but never use her full Potential.
(explained in story)

so there is an invisble ailment on her that reduces her attack stat despite
the stats you see her have. She will have an ability to cure it in battle, but
it is reset afterwards.

Being a brawler, I thought...

Full potential -
Guard Ally -
Counter attack -

Megaton Punch - automatically destroys enemy "Def & M.Def" Buffs.
