You play Jack Kay Moon also called Yorim.

He has moved to a new town with his godfather after the death of his father, and that is where our story begins.

Torn Apart basically is the universe where this game takes place. Over the Net; Kay is this story in TA's universe.

Progress:
Done, but I will go back an do updates, and add more content depending on the feedback I get. This game was made with Novelty. http://www.visualnovelty.com/

-Note: This has some Shonen-ai elements.
-Note: There are 3 endings.
-Note: This takes place more than 20 years after my manga (Torn Apart), and no you don’t have to read sed manga to know what is going on, but there will be character references. Can be found here I plan on continuing the manga and I'm planning on going back and updating the art work. http://eriksblue.deviantart.com/gallery/30128440?offset=48#/d3fa5or

Developer Commentary Questions

I want to do a small developer commentary track on my game since it has a tiny following and I'm sure that people would like to ask me question on my game. So ask your questions I'll be taking them until this weekend, I'll post up the video Monday.

I have to admit, when I saw the title, I immediately assumed it had something to do with people breaking up on the internet and being strangely apathetic about the whole thing.

Really though, it's nice to see more visual novels posted here.

Unfortunately, I don't use Novelty, so I don't know how much I can help with your technical problems, but maybe you could expand on what the problem is with the plot threads? I might at least be able to help find the answer, since I have experience with VN creation in general.

I don't think I'm that heartless of a person to put up a story of people breaking up over the internet seems kind of boring if its just that.

Thank you but i was able to find help on the Novelty Forum's and again thank you.
So, I've been following the LP of this over on the Something Awful boards, and I just wanted to let you know that you are an absolute trooper for taking that all in stride. If you ever want someone to spell-check your scripts, feel free to send your writing my way. I've been editing people's stories for ten years now (not professionally. It's just internet stuff,) and I'd be happy to help you out.

edit, for clarity's sake: I won't muck about with the actual content of the story unless I have a boatload of time to do so with, but I can fix the grammar and spelling issues no problem.

I'll second this. It's not often that someone takes no-holds-barred nasty criticism and doesn't get defensive about it. Keep up the good attitude.

Not to be rude or anything but I'm really not comfortable with letting a complete strange have a hold on the file I use for this game. A word document would work as well or use a screen capture program and write what needs to corrected so I know what page I need to be looking at.
No offense taken. I don't actually have Novelty installed on my computer, so the actual game file wouldn't be of any use to me for editing. I was hoping that you had the script all set up in a separate document file (word, open office, celtx,) but if you're writing the story in Novelty as you go...

I'm not keen on screen-capping my way through an entire VN. That is a lot of work. However, I can work from what's been posted on the SA forums and transfer them over into a word document. It's still going to be a lot of work, but it won't be so brutally laborious. I'll post the incoming translation here, since I don't have an e-mail to send to.

Also, would you let the good folks over on the SA forums know that I'm giving this a shot? I don't want to ruin their fun or their LP.
Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.
So, I've been distantly following the events on the SA boards, and it looks like they're still using the unedited copy.
Yeah Kite plans on looking at the new version after he's finished the game.
Thought so.

Guess the goons are gonna continue hating me for a while, then.
Why would they? Is there anything I can do?
No worries. I think The Saurus thinks that what they're reading in the thread is an edited copy.

As for Ijuuin Enzan, it's entirely likely that I've made some sort of huge editing blunder somewhere in the script. There was a lot of script, and I only went over it once. However, it's also possible Ijuuin hasn't gotten a look at the revised version of TAOtNK (which, from the bit I just played, still has a typo or two in it.)

I'm not a professional, and I'd always like to improve. If he's got any pointers about where I might have messed up, what I can improve, or even general technique, I'd love to hear them.
I liked the story line.. Only problem is it keeps closing on me without reason, or warning. =/ So, I can't finish the story.
Really sweet, and I actually cared about Nash.
It feels very clumsy, overall though, too many scenes are rushed without pacing it so you can actually follow what is going on at a time. Among other issues.
