The world of Atrium is divided by a great darkness known as the Nebula. The Cinnerean Empire, led by an Evil Prince, are trying to gain control of an ancient power and finish a war that began almost a thousand years ago. The Arms of Reverie is a classic styled Fantasy RPG, with a twist. In a world without magic, technology rules in the manipulation of natural forces. While the end result may be similar, the fate of the whole world hinges on this concept. Your job is to control a band of heroes that must overcome mammoth obstacles in order to save the world. Along the way you’ll face giant beasts, pirates, soldiers and clandestine organizations that are out to satisfy their own desires as the world falls apart. Even the trusted Kingdom of Lucera has its dark secrets. Will you be able to overcome all of these obstacles and more to bring long awaited harmony to a world that so desperately needs it? Quick Question

So I realize the demo up is pretty old. I was hoping to have more done before I released a second demo, but as Celianna's ship tileset is on delay, I was wondering if people thought I should just release the Ace demo as is, with placeholder maps. I'd like to share, but I don't want to bore people with releasing the same demo over and over. What does anyone think?

This is my first attempt at making a game in rpg maker, or any other game maker at that. It is based on a short story I wrote called 'The Arms of Reverie' which was inspired by the album 'Razia's Shadow' by the band Forgive Durden. More updates will be posted as I go, and many of the maps and graphics will be tweaked as time goes on. I hope to have a short demo available in early 2012. The game is meant to be story driven, but hopefully not with overwhelmingly boring or long dialogue.

Looks interesting, btw. It is going to be difficult replacing everything you had from VX. It would be nice if you explained the title, too. :)
It's difficult, but I think in the end it's going to be for the best. It's such a powerful engine, and I think my maps are going to be better off for it!

Also, the title is a reference to the power that dreams can have. It's open to interpretation beyond that. The story is basically an interpretation of it, but what it means to me, might mean something different to someone else.

Eh, progress has been slow. I've mostly been working on little graphical things and updating scripts to work with ace. Plus I have a lot of 'real life' stuff going on so I haven't been able to do too much on it.
short game demo consisting of a single dungeon and a small town afterwards. Better than your average first rpg's. No much plot exposition though, but it's a demo so whatevers. Go ahead and try it.
