First of all, hello everybody!
I want to excuse myself in advance for any misspelling occuring in the text. English is not my first language, so it would be kind of you guys to bear with me! :]

STORY
The life on harddrive C:\ is tough.
Gigabyte full of useless stuff, daily viral attacks and unpartitionated Areas full of unseen secrets and pure madness, are ruling the daily life of Desktop-city.
And who got to clean this whole mess up?
Avir, a little freeware antivirusprogram, who is living with his girlfriend Alvira, in the hopeless and crazy areas of Desktop-city.
But this wouldnt be a big deal, if Avir would get his regular update, wich is missing for so long. So he got to fight, as good as possible, through the masses of viruses and clusterblocks, with the hope of finally getting his long awaited update.

AVIR
An non-updated antivirusprogram, he´s got the licence to erase!
ALVIRA
Avirs gilfriend, she does... she got... she gets kidnapped...
The Botnet
Disgusting and evil, as it is, it conquers desktop-city and takes control over the allmighty security-system of harddrive C:\
Its minions are everywhere!
Files
These mostly harmless files, are populating desktop-city and its folders, can you rescue them all, or will you just be to lazy and delete the whole bunch?
Gigatron
A giant file, locked in a very small folder. He is destined to bust his chains and become free again!
The holy Hein
His monstrous forehead is filled with endless knowledge and penetration! Will he help Avir on his mission, or will he annoy him to death?
Eeerthwirm
"An earthworm... in a Pc?...now ive seen everything..." Quote Avirs

Fight
...and free your homedrive from viruses, clusters, trojans and other datatrash, with the help of an Action-Battlesystem!
Hack
...yourself into computerterminals, vending-machines, online-banking systems and even into enemies!
Decide
...between battle and cunning, fleeing or the employment of gadgets! Are you rushing trough the securitygrid and lead the attraction of the feared securitybots on you, or will you hack into doors, obstacles and traps?
Be "Special"
Cybernatic RPG-system, train 4 different attributes (hacking, security, electronics, luck), or patch yourself with the newest hardware.
Madness³
Discover a unique adventure on a common harddrive. Who knows what crazy stuff is going on there?
Alert!!! Now its time to flee, or getting shredded by the security-bots!
Use your inventory, who knows, maybe the key to the puzzle is already in your pocket.
Avir can deal out deadly blows, too!
...and sack! Use or hack more than 10 different terminals or vending machines!

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Finally fixed that damn title-picture.
Network is growing and prospering, my ideas for areas, folders and other crazy programs outnumber the time i have for this project.
But even though, it´ll be a while until i work on the translation, im glad for every comment/critic on NETWORK - A Cyberfunk Action RPG.

This is so awesome. Lots of interesting design choices and the art is fantastic. I sat and listened to the whole title screen music, it's that good. Is this custom music? I can't speak German so I dunno wtf is going on but I actually chuckled a few times. The random dog, the movement of the pictures in the intro and the sound effects. Giant forehead guy!! xD
This game looks like it's tons of fun. The gameplay is pretty basic but seems well balanced. Your battery recharges and I think health too, and the ABS mechanic is a toggle on instead of single attack. Which makes fighting easier.
The only thing that bugged me is that wavy purple/red RTP panorama. Everything is custom and you're using that tired old thing. It would look so rad to have something custom that resembles computer circuitry.
I encountered an error, a weird one too. Never had something like this happen before:
Happened when I stepped on that spot. I was going to quit soon anyways, since I dunno what to do and there is a lot of talking to NPC's. I'd love to play this in english and wouldn't mind helping out with the translation, using some translator program and fixing up the grammar.

Do you have any kind of script in a text file? Maybe it would be more efficient for you to translate into loose English and I polish over it?
I can try using Google translate on the first little bit and see how it goes, but honestly, I can't imagine me having the time to copy/paste every message from every event to translate and replace. I have to put some time into my game as well ^.^
I'll play the game again and stand on that spot to see if the error happens again or if it was just a fluke.

Unfortunally no text file of the ingame-text. Most of the text was improvised. I´ll see how fast i can translate it on my own. Database and conversations are a bit tricky, because of the "funny" nature of the text. (translating jokes is mostly not that easy)
Checked the Bug, several times, nothing happened. Can you remember any circumstances that could maybe have led to this? (didnt it even happen again?)

Nope, it didn't happen again so it really was just a fluke.
Ok, start by translating the intro and send me a file to look over. If you want to translate more than that, of course go ahead, but we could at least start with a piece to see how it goes.

The game has already been growin to more than 200% of the demo´s size, so it is easy to say: The end is near!
Stay tuned for more infos to come, as the game becomes more of a fully finished product!
