Legendary Artifacts, Dr. Odine, & More

Here's the work completed since the last update:

  • World Map minimap responds to same controls as hunting minimap (size+-, opacity, toggle)
  • Improved and increased ToKM vault treasures
  • Doctor Odine now grants one of three battle bonuses: EXP+, GP+, Item Find+; switch bonuses any time, infinitely; bonus effectiveness increases with amount of special items given to Odine; also serves as a collector
  • Skills Books removed from game
  • GP and item chests randomly reward additional gem loot; type of gem and quantity scales by level
  • Gem Hunter accessory increases number and value of gems found
  • Gold Bar item worth maximum money value; convert between item and money at banks
  • Millionare accessory; all gold chests reward Gold Bar
  • Treasure vault added to Uber Daemon room; Abyss treasures moved to this location and replaced
  • Treasure Hunter accessory randomizes generic chest loot
  • Region experience and encounter thresholds increased; allows earlier levels gains
  • Skill Shard pages for all heroes available at start of New Game+; Cirus recruitment in previous playthrough required; Cirus page available on first playthrough while in party
  • Random encounters at White Shrine roof prior to Azrael battle
  • Artifacts of the four legendary heroes can now be obtained; four new weapons and twelve equipment pieces; quest in journal once active
  • Valiantide Base drill quest removed as part of plot alterations; old expansion area now regularly accessible


The list grows shorter, and only a few remaining items might require significant time.

Interesting change. so will the Dr.Odine skill book abilities be available through the skill shard pages now, or have they been removed completely? Also, about Uber Daemon... did I miss/forget an extrs boss, or is he new? Either way, these new features & Items really seem like they're gonna fun to attain and play around with.

The skills from the books still exist, but cannot be obtained. They weren't that useful and could only be acquired late in the game anyways. Now Dr. Odine's rewards are immediately useful, but remain relevant too.

There are a few new skill scrolls, made possible thanks to a DynRPG patch fixing the reflect crash bug, and a plugin that enhances evasion behavior. Azrael also has more skills on his skill shard page, some of them unique.

Uber Daemon is just the renamed Ultimate Weapon. The traverse to Progidium Nidus has changed, with a frozen tunnel staircase leading from the surface of Solus Insula to the darkness of the ocean floor. I was trying to make something atmospheric.

Ahhh man, the skills weren't that great but it was fun giving meredith/julia a multi target spell and making Glen a battle mage. The new Odine seems pretty awesome though

Yes, reflect spells can be a thing now! and Brad gets more than 3 unique skills!

Oh, so I did fight him. Well, I definitely appreciate the name and room change because: uber daemon's a way cooler name, and I was so confused after beating him and getting nothing but a crimson beherit.
