This is a Lufia game based on a story I am writing in my spare time. Not only will it mix elements from Lufia games and the typical RPG, It will include some fresh material as well.

Lufia VI:Echoes of the legend will feature a large cast of about 10 characters(including several guest characters),tons of new and old material such as weapons,IP skills(Lufia II),Learn point system(Lufia the legend returns),Status boards for individual characters, new items,a large world map,new villans (including the Sinistrals),various side quests, puzzles, and an amazing soundtrack based on the Original soundtrack of Lufia I,II,III(the legend returns),and various remixes.

This game will also have a weapon forging system, medium to hard difficulty level, secrets,Battle voices,Capsule monsters(Lufia II) and much more.

The Truth and a new beginning

Hello everyone, I have some good news and bad news. The truth about this project now is that it was lost a while ago when my flash-drive stopped being recognized and malfunctioned...which led to a corruption and it is garbage now. That's the bad news. The good new is I plan on restarting this project from scratch regardless of all my hard work being lost. Back when I started this project in 2011, I knew nothing about back-ups and online storage. I Barely worked on it after I started working on another one of my projects.

A critical question came into play. Should I restart the project or cancel it? I love the Lufia series, so the decision was to start fresh. Now that I have a better understanding of how RPG maker works, I can make the game even better than what it was long ago. I've decided to put this on hold in an attempt to create "Lufia Maker" What I want to do with this new game is to take the best of the Lufia games and mix it into one game (Similar to Sonic Generations). I'll fill in more details when I submit it, but I want to take this project into another direction and then create an original game from it.

What are your thoughts on this?

No, I think lufia 4 was Ruins of Lore for GBA. The fifth was a fan remake so i guess this is supposed to be 6.
I named it Lufia VI:Echoes of the legend because somebody already created a fan game called Lufia V:For the Savior in RPG maker 2003.
ahaha i like how numbering your fangame leads to a lot of difficulties when you factor in others. Seems to be less hassle if you just got rid of the number.
Darken, that is very true. Originally it wasn't going to have a number, but I decided to add it while developing the game. However, this is not the final title and I have thought about removing the number.
I could give you advice after you release a demo so I can understand how you used and presented the aspects of the original Lufia 2, how playing the game feels and so on.
Hello there!

This is Dekar the Great, creator of Lufia V: For the Savior. I'm glad to see that there are more people interested in creating Lufia fangames, I've noticed from the pictures that you've used a few of my ideas/graphics for your game and I only ask that you credit myself (along with the others who worked to create spritesets, DarkMax etc).

I hope to see more updates from this project in the future!
I had no Idea that you would comment on this. I haven't been working on this project for months! Now that I now that the Creator of that game likes it, I'm bound to finish it. The reason I made this game is because I love the series, and your amazing fan game. And yes, I will give plenty of credit to you and the others!!

Surprisingly though, this is the first Lufia game to appear on this site. You should upload it here also. This game is going to be a mixture of all 4 lufia games (I've played them all).
By the way, I see that you've posted in your blog that you've found a way to incorporate capsule monsters! Since the beginning of my project 6 years ago, I've tried to find a way to incorporate them, however, I've never been able to find a way. Could you share the method you used to create them? - If you want to of course. I'm just quite interested! Also, I see that you replaced MP with IP... I've considered doing this as well, but I wish there was a way to have both, but it would appear near impossible to alter the battle system =P.

Also, I uploaded Lufia V: For the Savior to this site.
I'll be glad to share with you! First off, IP and MP are now in the same box (Similar to Curse of the Sinistrals). This means that you will be able to use IP skills through your Item List. So, you get to select IP skills at will, but only the character who wields certain equipment will be able to use it. Magic however, is in the magic option.

I Included Ancient Scrolls (Lufia:The Legend Returns) in this game as well. Ancient Scrolls Are usually found in dungeons, towns, and secret places. They give you permanent IP skills. Having permanent IP skills means that you won't have to search through your Item list to use one. Instead, you can use it from the magic section in battle.

Learn points (Lufia: the Legend Returns) Are also coming back. Learn points permanently increase a certain status by 1. The more learn points you have, the more skills you can learn on the Mystic Board.

For Capsule monsters, Lufia: The ruins of Lore made it so that they replace a party member. I was going to do the lufia II style with 5 party members on board, but It would be really difficult. Some capsule monsters would be AI controlled, while others are controlled directly.

Thanks For uploading the game! You should definitely show it off! I loved the demo! By the way, how much has been done since the first demo?

Ah, I see... Yeah I was hoping to have a 5th party member-like Capsule Monster. As for how much has been done since the Demo 2.1, well, I have polished the areas present in the demo a little bit more, but have also moved on to the 2nd continent, and I am... perhaps 60% done with it so far. I have all the story elements etc for the continent after that as well, I just need to implement them. The fourth and final continent will be what takes me the most time to complete.

I did as well. I tried it before, and it didn't work out the way I intended it to. As for your demo, I will download it again and start playing soon. By the way,can you use your old save file for it? I don't mind starting over, but I'm just curious.
You could try, I've never done it myself to be honest.
Well I'm lookin foward to it, I hope this game comes back strong
