There exists a most curious and powerful race in the world of Ospes, able to manipulate and alter matter itself.

Their numbers are few, and from the beginning they have lived as outcasts, perceived as a threat to the world and every living thing in it.

They are called Theolar.

Thymetians, the most dominant race on Ospes, have done all that they can to suppress the Theolar. For they, more than any, are afraid of them.

Most Theolar are content to live in hiding and have abandoned the use of their abilities in hopes they would be forgotten. But among them there is a small group, known as the
Andurim, who are unwilling to give up that part of themselves.

Their sole purpose is to provide the Thymetians and the rest of the world with a glimpse of their greatness, now long overshadowed by what else they are capable of…

"I've finished the game, and I have to say that I really enjoyed myself. I don't always keep the games, but this one is a must.
Thanks for all your hard work." - littlebro

"All in all, you have certainly set a standard for vx games. I can't think of one that actually gripped me, and especially like this one did...
At any rate, I'm just saying I loved the game. I can tell it had a huge amount of work placed into it." - demonlord5000

What users from rpgmakervx.net have said...

"Whoa. This game is amazing. I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a game, commercial or otherwise, this much. You've managed to create a world that pulls the player in,
makes him identify with teh characters and feel for them. A world that feels alive with lore and history. Every time I found one of the Nayrin relics...
I really felt I was discovering bits and pieces of an ancient civilization, scattered all over the world." - Jeffrey

If anyone wants to play arguably one of the best all around put-together RPGs available to RPG Maker VX, this is hereby on your must-do list.
- goldenguy

"I will say that I liked the message and it was a brilliant adventure while it lasted. The plot was tight, the characters convincing and the puzzles
were the best I've seen aside from Alundra. If you ever manifest another spectacular game, I'll be looking forward to it." - tom11

"Firstly you have a great imagination and a flair for writing, your game really drew me in and was a real "key-presser" right up until the final
scenes. Your game was also very well balanced in terms of available money, EXP, etc. The inclusion of your excellent (occasionally challenging)
puzzles and mini-games help to distract the player along the way. Also quite importantly the game runs practically bug free..." - matt-tribal

"Bloody fantastic RPG. Minigames, optional quests, math puzzles. Love it all." - vitrous

"...there's so much that can be done, and the story and adventure just keep taking new turns and twists...It's been a long time since I've played a
game that I have a hard time "setting down" after 2-3 hours, but this is doing that." - goldenguy

"...a brilliant game, you have clearly put a lot of thought into creating the world of Ospes and especially into its characters. I definitely
appreciate the humorous dialogue too." - matt-tribal

Canvas is Complete!

Five years and two children later, I have finished my second game. The download has been updated. The game should last around 15 hours or so depending on a few factors including puzzles and sidequests. I have included a full walkthrough and complete item guide with the download. If you need more detailed help than the walkthrough gives, please don't hesitate to ask. I love every kind of feedback, especially bug reports if you find any. Thank you very much to those who take the time to download Canvas and give it a shot.

ColinB - First off, thank you so much for trying out my game and getting so far. I think you're right about that being a bug. Good catch. I've added a new map234 file to my locker. If you navigate there and download it, you can replace the current map234 in your Manifest->Data folder with the new one. I've added a rope on the left side of the screen that you can use to drop down to get back to the left entrance of the pass. Please let me know if it works! Thank you.

crowlotus -
The passcode is "Brynn" but you have to enter the number equivalent of each letter in the alphabet. (B = 2, r = 18, etc.)
I've discovered a possible dead end bug. After getting the zeppelin, I flew over to Haloran's Pass, landed nearby and I entered in the western entrance. I took out the Tarrasque monster and reported to the guy living underground who made the request. I was done with the town and wanted to return to the ship, but because the geysers were shut off after leaving the area, I couldn't return to the western entrance/exit. I explored a bit, but I think I was stuck in the eastern desert area without my zeppelin or any way to continue the game.
Probably a *SPOILER* question below!!!!

What is the passcode for the chest in the basement?
Hello, I'm new to the party and have downloaded and have been playing for about 4 hours now. However, I'm on the easiest mode and I'm still struggling to beat the boss at the end of Zarobia Woods. Please can you give me an idea as to how I can achieve this? There doesn't seem to be an anti confusion pendant that I could buy. Also is there an 'always dash' button? It can be quite slow to progress through some areas.
No problem. I didn't even realize it was nearly a decade old by this point. Felt like a new game, and one of the few RM games I have played which kept me fully interested right up until the end.

Thank you very much for taking the time to play through Manifest and post a comment, Firecage. It's wonderful to know there are still people playing through it nearly a decade after its release.
This was a pretty fun game. I especially enjoyed the reveal at the end.

I've never heard of this happening. My guess is that something happened during the download process that made the .exe unable to open correctly. I would try deleting the folder and re-downloading. That might clear it up. Hope you're able to try it out. Thanks for the interest.
why can't I open this game? i downloaded it and get to a file that has game.exe among other files (such as audio, font, etc) and usually this launches the game in other downloads. But I get what looks like an outline of a square box about the size of an opening screen before it's in full screen mode, but the outline quickly disappears. I'd love to play this game, but I can't open it. What am I doing wrong?

Good question. It was never my intention, but there is always a chance that I overlooked a specific strategy that might make it possible to prolong it.
Is it possible to beat
Novriath as Val in their 1v1?

as he doesn't seem 100% immune to silence which would disable his oneshot spell.

Thanks for the feedback, kalledemos. I must admit, I added the script that changes battle difficulty at the tail-end of development as an afterthought. I was hoping it might appeal to those who found the battles too hard, but I didn't test it much. Did you fight the same set of enemies twice, once on one level and once on another?

The gloves don't actually increase the chance of a successful steal, only the chances of getting an item rather than Etherum when you do pull one off. It sounds like you're right about the bad luck in landing the steal.

Glad to hear you're having fun. It always makes my day to hear that. I hope to hear back from you again as you progress. Thanks again for playing.

Yep, tested with the same mob on different difficulties, and got the same exp and etherium :/

Ah, I see, I must've misunderstood the description.

It's been a little while since I played, but I'll give it another sit-down quite soon!

Not sure if it's an oversight, misnomer, or glitch, but the tutorial book states that difficulty changes the EXP and Etherium you attain from enemies, but in actuality it doesn't appear to change.

I also feel like the crimson gloves (a accessory that says it increases vellamik's steal chance) isn't doing what the description says. maybe I'm just unlucky and can't tell the difference.

Other than that, I'm enjoying this so far, I just found the theolar city hidden under the desert... it's actual name is evading me right now.

Thanks for playing, Tensoku. That door represents the path that the soldiers take to the mainland. That door isn't meant to be opened. I might have made it too difficult to see, but there is a ladder by the save point that you can take up. Good luck. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions. Thanks again.
Somewhat "puzzled" rather early in the game. I'm in The Fathoms, in the area where there's a save point to the left, a chest on the the right side, and a door down the middle. I'm not sure how to get past the door. Is there a walkthrough for Manifest in case I need it? Thanks!
Yeah that fight was awesome :D. So close. Naxxaroth's fight was pretty similar, with the entire party besides one getting wiped at one point.

@Euphoniac - Maybe I'll make a definitive editions someday that remedies things like that. Thank you for playing.

@EdgeOfChaos - I just found a video on your Twitch channel of you playing from before the arena to just after the desert pass. That last fight in the arena was pretty amazing. Battles that come down to one last hit either way have always been my favorite.
I remember that I was also disappointed after killing the timid yeti and getting nothing special - the more so because I took the time to kill it with a low-level party by abusing status ailments.

Despite that minor nuisance, I fully enjoyed playing Manifest and congratulate you on having developed an entertaining RPG. This was (and still is) the first and only RPG characterized by puzzles in which the puzzles didn't ruin my experience.

@Pancaek - glad I could help.

@EdgeOfChaos - After reading your post, I am humbled, a bit saddened, and deeply impressed. I can't help but feel I've failed you as a developer :). If I had thought for an instant that anyone would come close to killing the timid yeti, I would have definitely put some special treat in there for doing it. Congratulations on the only true 100% of the game that I know of, and thank you for playing.
