The Stickiest of Dudes

Stickdude goes to hell is exactly what it says on the tin. It is only a few minutes long, and made under an hour. Stickdude dies, arrives in hell, wants to get out of the maze.
But it is so full of flavour, little fun things, and a crude but somehow amusing graphic style, that it is quite a little fun ride.
Even the developer-logo, the give-me-beer-production is hilarious.

The graphic style is black and white, bare, and a quick work made in paint, by the looks of it all. While it fits the theme of death, it also builds a contrast to the lightheartened overall tone of the game. It actually is strangely appealing for no good reason.
You have both the story of stickdude, and the story of the loved ones left behind.

I'm in!

The music is an odd mix of rips, most prominent being the FF7 fanfare after a successful fight which seems out of place and the Stone Temple from Majoras Mask. Which, given the theme, fits in extremely well. Majoras Mask itself can be seen as an embodiment of the stages of grief, in case you are wondering.

Gameplay-wise you just find your way through a maze while auto-attacking a bunch of whatever-they-are-supposed-to-be monsters, making them ouch so much they collapse.
The maze is reasonable sized and the timer of 666 seconds is very forgiving of meeting a couple of dead-ends. The random encounters are reasonable as well, so you can simply proceed to the end and enjoy the tiny bits of dialogue.
This epic quest is truly, truly meaningful.

Now while comments suggest that the ending is depressing .. I found it a perfect middle-ground of positivity and humour.

This game is simple. This game is only so much of gameplay, but I find it a charming odd little package. And what it is supposed to do it does pretty well.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't find out that this game contains a game breaking bug.
I am not the most experimental player. *shrugs* Sure missed it.
It's good you noted it, though (and yes, I just came across this by chance)
