Infinity 2 is the sequel to Infinity. New features, new characters, along with mostly everything brought over from the first game.

Since Infinity is not a storyline based game, Infinity 2 is an improvement to the overall game. Infinity was more of an introduction to a style of gaming. A new kind of free roaming, character collecting craziness. Infinity 2 builds on that format. The new game features some small storylines, along with an improved RPG factor. Instead of recieving a large amount of money at the start, you are given no money. You will have choices throughout the game, deciding how to make money. You can go on the light path, or the dark path.. or both, or no path. It's up to you.

New additions include assassination contracts, monster battles, hero missions, seasons, maps to explore, and more.

Infinity 2 features original music from musician Halindir (Vaniardur). His music is simply stunning, and fits perfectly into the dark, yet light tones of Infinity 2. His music is a welcome change from the default RTP music of the first Infinity.

Infinity 2 was released on March 9th, 2012.

Expansion Pack Cancelled

Due to the development of the next generation open-world RPG I have been working on, any expansions for Infinity 2 have been cancelled. This includes Tales of the Rings. The new game, currently titled Infinity 3, is a completely new game, being developed on a much more up-to-date engine. RPG Maker VX Ace.

Any future expansion packs would be released for this new game, rather than the older Infinity 2. I hope you do enjoy playing Infinity 1 & 2, while following development of the next game in the series. It should be one fantastic game.

Thanks,
Nick

New screenshots from the city map, and the apartment building have been added.
So.....is this game a life simulator? That would explain the open-worldness and things to do.
I still think this is a bit too much for rpg maker, but whatever. I'll still play it, regardless.
The problem with seeing white clouds on your maps is that it would imply the camera being 10,000 feet high, therefore the sprites and buildings would appear smaller than ants... unless you tell me it's a super-sized giant world.

I recommend turning the clouds black and increasing their transparency a bit more. Seeing clouds' shadows will look much better.
Thanks for the feedback.

Kinda.

If kept within limit, it's not too much. I've used the engine enough in the past, so I know it's limits. I'm not going to go crazy. It's a matter of switches, labels, etc.

How much detail are you putting into the nude sprites...? Because I have to say, I'm not too sure about that...

Not much. Think of a sprite wearing tan. That's it. No actual parts.. I'm keeping it pretty clean. Plus that part of the game isn't required. No part of it really is.
The game is almost 2 different games. From the starting main town, the theme is light, colorful, and cheerful. It's just the city that features some of the game's darker elements.
This video demonstrates the new Notoriety system.

Okay, thank you. That's good to know.:)

:) The main game, with monster battles and all, is family-friendly.
New gameplay video. This video demonstrates monster battles, and all the items you can purchase in the shop. Both monster battles and all the collectible items, are new to the Infinity series. (Also notice the new unlockable character Legolas)

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

A sequel? Looks like Infinity wasn't long enough!

Infinity 2 1.1 has been released.
Great game, I liked the first one. What additions will you be adding; is there still a lot? I can't seem to gain new skills and I'm level 15 already in version 1.0 and where are the potential spouses?

I will be releasing expansion packs to the game soon, with new missions, storylines, etc. Infinity 2 will get new content, compared to the past game. The first Infinity was really restricted in terms of the one large map. Infinity 2 has the large multiple maps to explore. And instead of pushing out Infinity 3, I'll focus on expanding Infinity 2.

Version 1.1 fixes monsters that are too strong to beat, and other fixes. You can overwrite the files of 1.0, and keep your saves.

As for the dating aspect, it was removed from the game. However, I do plan on bringing back the dating sim features in an expansion. I'll be blogging here on RMN when I release expansion packs. :)
