Made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 22, The Vestibule is a visual novel adventure/mystery game about the chance encounters made by the main character, Gale, on a voyage by train for the holidays. By interacting with the other passengers on the train, you can help them or hinder them from making realizations about themselves. And maybe, in the process, you can learn something about yourself, too.

Ouya status report

For those curious about how install base is looking on Ouya, here's an update on how well The Vestibule has done on it since launch. To date, there have been a total of 3,235 downloads of the game for Ouya. That's several times better how it has done on desktop, and far and away better than I was expecting.

I really, really enjoyed this. It's not often that a game moves me, but this one did, and I won't soon forget it.

There are no plans to continue it as of now, but I guess if there's interest it could be considered.
Ah I see. The other VS project that you had that's on hiatus, are you going to continue it? I'd really like to play a VS game that's a visual novel. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed them both!

There aren't any plans to make other visual novels right now, but making The Vestibule was a fun experience, so I can't rule it out. Unfortunately, visual novels have a much smaller audience than RPGs, so I don't see myself making a major project in Ren'py.
So you're the one who made this AND Vacant Sky. Never thought 2 of the games I've enjoyed were from the same gamemaker!

Would you be making other Renpy in the future too? *w*

Somehow I really want to play this game, not only because of the graphics but also for the setting.
