"Celes, a woman raised from childhood as the prophesied Savior, embarks on a mission to fulfill her destiny and protect the world. But she soon finds herself at odds with a man with a mysterious investment in her mission, and learns that there may be more to her role than she bargained for..."

Eons ago, the world and all of its splendours were created by the magnificent and all-powerful being simply known as the "Creator." It wove the threads of life, and upon creating the planet of Tsufanubra, spotted it with its most cherished life-form: man.

Having gifted mankind with all of its blessing and necessities, the Creator simply watched as man forged his own path in life, and over the decades crafted himself in to a race of truly wondrous individuals numbering in the millions.

The Creator, however, grew tired of this creation, and thus gave life to three heavenly Kings to watch over and monitor the world in his stead. Overseeing their lord's creation from on-high, the Three Kings of Tsufanubra guided their people into an age of peace and prosperity for countless years to follow...

Then that fated day came—the day wherein a great darkness spilled from the opposite world of Arbunafust, and threatened to dominate Tsufanubra and all who lived upon it. The efforts of this otherworldly force, however, were thwarted by the Three Kings. They gifted mankind with four divine relics, then simply waited for man to take back what had been stolen from them.

With the aid of their overseers, man was able to forcibly remove the invading force, and cast it back to whence it came.

Their purpose completed, the relics bore themselves into the earth, forever shedding their light in silence so that mankind could attain eternal peace.

There's an LP?! (And another Update!)

That's right, folks! UPRC (creator of the widely popular Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy series) has stated a "Let's Play" of Chronicles of Tsufanubra. If all of you kind folk would care to give this wonderful individual a Like and Share for his efforts, that'd be greatly appreciated!

And yes, there's been another update. Substantial? Kind of. The MP3 version of the game's now been officially made the default version you're prompted to download after clicking that big button up there in the corner. I found that the old MP3 edition was lacking a little something, so I went in and mixed things up a bit, added a few songs, tweaked a few stats, and cranked out what's now this game's DEFINITIVE EDITION!

So if you haven't downloaded CoT yet, or have been on the fence about doing so, there's never been a better time! Unless something truly game-breaking (randomly) pops up, I'm hoping to never lay my hands on this game again! I think it's time to let this baby rest.

Thanks for the continued support and all of the wonderful downloads and subscriptions you've given this game. I truly appreciate all of you amazing and wonderful people for making this project as great as it is! =D

You're saying I went semicolon happy?! Actually, that's a probably the case, but I also can't remember if I had anyone else look it over after receiving it from Desertopa, either... Soooo I'll take the blame! It shall be fixed!

The rest is as Mr. Topa says. The beginning sets things up in a way that makes the player THINK that they know how it's all going to unfold, but that's exactly why we dumped all of the "you must save the world and the crystals!" stuff on the player at the start.

Hey guys! Sorry I missed your posts earlier: Turns out I wasn't suscribed to this game, so I didn't see any updates (fixed now!). I'm about 40 minutes further in now, and think I'm already starting to see that the game is already ever-so-slightly unfolding to be something a bit more than the beginning suggested...unfortunately, I encountered quite a few bugs that will probably need fixing at some point (including a gamebreaking one in part 3), but I can still continue as I know how to avoid them.
Ah, okay, so it turns out that (for one reason or another) I copy and pasted the event commands for the middle and the guard to the right TWICE, resulting in the event repeating its self.

To quote the comment I posted on the video its self:

"Darn, I really was hoping that I'd caught most of the bugs, but that last one was something that I'd never anticipated happening! That's why it's always good to have someone other than yourself (preferably multiple other people) play your game first; they do and see things that you might not!

That first bug, though... man, I've NEVER encountered that before! I'm definitely going to go in there and poke around to see what exactly has caused that weird error to occur.

Thanks for stumbling upon these things and pointing them out, Mr. Magic! I appreciate your decision to continue LPing this game, and look forward to Part 4!"

EDIT:
I've also gone ahead and fixed up the two major bugs and updated the demo download!
And I can't wait to actually get it finished! Well, I guess I CAN wait when you consider the terrible and godawful pace I've been going for the past few months. It seems like whenever I get a drive to actually work on the project, SOMEONE drops by or something happens, etc. The last two months in particular have been especially busy in terms of doing non-rpgmaker related things when I get off work/have free time.

Ephiam! Speaking of terrible and godawful pace, I've finally progressed since my previous video! Apologies for it taking so long :( :( I'll try to speed up!

I was wondering where you went. I was like "it's been two weeks, dude."
Nah, I knew he' pull through sooner or later. Granted, I WAS starting to run out of interesting things to watch... hahahaha.

He's also finally moving into the interesting part of the game with a (soon to be) full party! Yee-haw. Can't wait for the next set of videos! I just want to get some opinions on how the Borez region turned out.

Back in embarrassing fashion

To quote my youtube comment:

"As soon soon as you started to head north to the Mountain Pass, I was like "NOOOOOO! Not that way! At least not yet! To the castle, damn you! AHHH!" Hahahahaha. The reason the enemies took a decent spike in difficulty was because that mini-dungeon is supposed to be tackled AFTER Castle Borez. Well, TECHNICALLY it can be completed first, but you're prevented from entering the next area once you exit the cave, so there's no real point beyond the extra goodies you'd get =P

Oh, and there's some good buffs and debuffs in Borduna's spell shops, some of which even Sando can learn! They'll definitely be put to good use against Castle Borez's boss, as well as the entire main dungeon that comes after the castle (and beyond the caves that you visited in this video).

Told you that the beginning was easy due to introductory purposes! Now that I'm finally moving out of that territory, I can finally have some REAL fun designing enemy and boss encounters that will force the player to put a decent amount of thought into what they're doing!

Also, because I'm writing this as I watch the video, I have to bring up that Sando would not be able to learn the Silence ability! Certain spells can only be learned by certain characters, with Sando having the smallest selection available to him.

Good try, though! Thoroughly enjoyed this episode, ESPECIALLY the part when you got your butt whopped by those flies! Hahaha. =P"

Glad to see that you're back in action! I highly anticipate the next episode and hope that you have better luck.
I haven't been following the Let's Play regularly without the notifications on this page when it's updated, but I just caught up, and left some tips for beating the Mantison (which should also apply to a lot of other battles.)

I'd also suggest selling unneeded items for extra cash, since having the best equipment available, and increasing your spell arsenals, makes a big difference. Also, in general, using consumable items like Soul Bottles eats up a lot of money that can be spent on more permanent advantages, so I found it more practical to use them as a second line after recovery magic, and trying to avoid letting characters die in the first place.

Oohh, that was you! Thanks again - I didn't realise defending would be so useful in this game.

Speaking of which: I've finished the demo!

You can find the whole LP here.

I'm going to watch the last two videos tonight.
Thank you so very much, Yellow Magic, for Let's Playing DFR to completion and giving me some fantastic feedback and insight into how someone other than myself may play the game! It's done wonders, and I'm sure a plethora of other changes will be made before its completion.

It'd be wonderful if, once the game's released in its full splendor, you'd continue the LP! I'll be sure to come running back to you once that time comes to make that request.

Anyway, thanks again! Your effort has been greatly appreciated.

Hey, no problem - thank YOU for the opportunity to record 15 videos worth of content! I'll be a bit more confident when LPing GOING FORWARD (I don't overuse that phrase at all do I)

Yeah, once the full game's out feel free to TOUCH BASE.
Hey!

Just finished playing the demo. Enjoyed it very much. Hope you'll finish the game soon.
Thanks for the download! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the experience, and hope you come back to finish the adventure once the game reaches completion!
No sir! I'd say it's a LITTLE (just a smidge) over halfway there! Started working on it again yesterday after a lengthy hiatus, but I'm making decent progress! Desertopa's pretty much done writing the dialogue, though. He only has the final dungeon and ending left to do, and then there's a chance that he may be working on NPC dialogue as well? I'm not quite sure on that, though.
Considering there should be plenty of time for me to work on it once the script is finished before the game is complete, I don't see any reason not to. I'm still invested in seeing this project turn out as well as possible, and besides, I like writing dialogue.
