"Celes, a woman raised from childhood as the prophesied Savior, embarks on a mission to fulfill her destiny and protect the world. But she soon finds herself at odds with a man with a mysterious investment in her mission, and learns that there may be more to her role than she bargained for..."

Eons ago, the world and all of its splendours were created by the magnificent and all-powerful being simply known as the "Creator." It wove the threads of life, and upon creating the planet of Tsufanubra, spotted it with its most cherished life-form: man.

Having gifted mankind with all of its blessing and necessities, the Creator simply watched as man forged his own path in life, and over the decades crafted himself in to a race of truly wondrous individuals numbering in the millions.

The Creator, however, grew tired of this creation, and thus gave life to three heavenly Kings to watch over and monitor the world in his stead. Overseeing their lord's creation from on-high, the Three Kings of Tsufanubra guided their people into an age of peace and prosperity for countless years to follow...

Then that fated day came—the day wherein a great darkness spilled from the opposite world of Arbunafust, and threatened to dominate Tsufanubra and all who lived upon it. The efforts of this otherworldly force, however, were thwarted by the Three Kings. They gifted mankind with four divine relics, then simply waited for man to take back what had been stolen from them.

With the aid of their overseers, man was able to forcibly remove the invading force, and cast it back to whence it came.

Their purpose completed, the relics bore themselves into the earth, forever shedding their light in silence so that mankind could attain eternal peace.

There's an LP?! (And another Update!)

That's right, folks! UPRC (creator of the widely popular Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy series) has stated a "Let's Play" of Chronicles of Tsufanubra. If all of you kind folk would care to give this wonderful individual a Like and Share for his efforts, that'd be greatly appreciated!

And yes, there's been another update. Substantial? Kind of. The MP3 version of the game's now been officially made the default version you're prompted to download after clicking that big button up there in the corner. I found that the old MP3 edition was lacking a little something, so I went in and mixed things up a bit, added a few songs, tweaked a few stats, and cranked out what's now this game's DEFINITIVE EDITION!

So if you haven't downloaded CoT yet, or have been on the fence about doing so, there's never been a better time! Unless something truly game-breaking (randomly) pops up, I'm hoping to never lay my hands on this game again! I think it's time to let this baby rest.

Thanks for the continued support and all of the wonderful downloads and subscriptions you've given this game. I truly appreciate all of you amazing and wonderful people for making this project as great as it is! =D

It is no good I cannot get the game to save my saves anywhere,so it is pointless me playing it. It opens the zip file automatically so it does not hold the saves. I'm sorry I give up

Cancel that I have worked it out now,but I am sure I had better(and more) weapons etc. but dont worry I will get them all back.
Fantastic! Glad everything finally worked out in the end. You can still go through the mines and claim all the treasures you SHOULD have gotten on your trek through there, and you've even got the added bonus of having no monsters to bother you! =P

Yes I noticed that but I had already killed all the monsters, and the boss, except for the one over that bridge with the rock. That rock was still there but disappeared somehow while I was collecting the chests again, thanks
So here are some thoughts:

Story
Definitely one of the better stories from the RPGs I've played so far with nice twists and it is noticeable how you put a good amount of time into the small dialog cutscenes. ++

Hidden Bosses/Chests
I like being rewarded for roaming the map. :D +

Equipment Diversity
You can customize your characters by giving them different kind of equipment and you don't HAVE to use one particular build to finish the game BIG plus!
(Although I never really used the Scythes. Seemed kinda weak since the stats aren't great AND you lose the shield slot but that's just me) +++

Clearing dungeon reward
While I liked this feature of being rewarded for clearing a dungeon it also gave me some pressure to kill every single monster before going to the boss, which was boring at times. Also, like a previous player already said, it would be a good idea to mark the location of where the chest will appear. +

Battles
Battles were nicely balanced. Attack spamming only got you through the early game. After mid game you had to use spells to not lose battles, or at least to not almost lose battles :P Corrosion/Toxic on bosses seems rather OP, though. You inflict them with one or both of those and then just defend/heal until it wears off then repeat. Lifa in particular seems kinda weak in the later boss battles since her damaging spells don't do that much damage and need to be set up. So you basically just spam toxic with her and hope it hits since that deals more damage. Also, the battle animations were really nice. ++

Maps
I don't have to say much about the maps, I think. They were really, really well made. +++

Music
I don't really pay much attention to music in games. But it was alright. :D +

All in all I really enjoyed the game and I probably even forgot some points. But anyway thank you for this game!
Hey,I'm near the end and dropped by to mention a bug.
In Hades Maw,after coming back to get the optional boss, the screen tints to pitch black when opening the door to where Vlad and Veryl was and the light doesn't return. At first I stumbled my way around in the darkness thinking it was a cool feature or something, fought the boss and exited to the previous room. But the light never came back.

Right now I'm trying to avoid opening the editor to fix the bug myself, because of spoilers(duh!).I'm not sure if it happened only to me,but it might be something you want to look into!
Anyway
As for the game,I'm really enjoying the ride.I love games with a deep story and twists, but I do wish it was longer.Going to write a review when I'm finished, but rest assured it will be a positive one!
I'd really love to see a sequel as well.Yeah,I liked it THAT much. :)

EDIT:Never mind,I just saw the blog post ,seems someone else found that bug as well!Ignore the spoiler tag in that case!

Agreed
Thank you all for the wonderfully positive feedback! It's a thrill to hear that you've each enjoyed your experiences as much as you have. I'll definitely have to keep the requests for a sequel of some kind in mind... just incase. ;P

Oh, and Reggird... I haven't really received any comments on it from people other than those who helped create the game, but what did you think of
the big reveal at the end of the game? After speaking with Celes' grandfather, that is. Was it foreshadowed well enough, or even an actual surprise? Hahahahhaa
Fuck this shit. I've been on something of an RM game-playing sabbatical on account of wanting to focus on my game's development, but this is too tempting. I will make an exception and play it >:|
I've restarted this game twice because I'm not sure of your weapon system. Why are intellegent rated weapons chosen as best over attack weapons. Most games I play - ATK is the most important - which should I use for this game ? Thanx - Dennis

There's an NPC in Celes' hometown who explains the differences between weapon types.

I'm not sure how far in the game you restarted,so open the spoiler tag at your discretion.
The way I see it:
Celes uses both magic and physical attacks,so you can't go wrong with either.

Sando is a physical attacker,so int is pretty much useless (except for magic defence which you should aim for with element resist armor).

Lifa is a strict spellcaster,so obviously use tomes on her.

Yoor was the hardest character to gear in my opinion, because his healing depends on his INT,yet he barely has any damaging spells(save for the 2 light ones),so it's up to you.

Well I did expect something around those lines but what actually happened exceeded my expectations by quite a bit, so definitely a surprise. :D
Also CAREFUL SPOILERS
I kinda found it odd that Celes barely gave a reaction when they told her about how they killed her family and took her away as a child
iKeratz - Thanks - yeah this second time around thats exactly how I played it ATK for celes and sando - brains for lifa and sort of a combo for yoor - but still have to be careful when buying and selling - because they still want to sell INT weapons and armor !!

Unlike most traditional RPGs, this one doesn't have the player gravitate towards any particular equipment setup, especially mid to late game. I like being able to mix and match equipment, so I was sure to integrate this into the game to the best of my ability! Once you pass the beginning stages of the game, no piece of equipment is so far above another that it makes anything found before it obsolete. Once you get to Ziazu, I'd recommend refraining from selling all of your extra equipment and weaponry unless you've got duplicates. There's never telling when you'll encounter a situation wherein changing around your party's equipment will make all the difference between a manageable battle and one that seems impossibly hard.

YES! YES, YES, and more YES! Do exactly that! And when you do, get back here and tell us all about your adventure! There's never enough discussion!

I'd attribute that to
possibly being too shocked to properly respond. That and, like the player, she'd likely expected anything at that point, especially since she was dealing with Veryl.

WOOP WOOP! I've been waiting forever for this! I had a good laugh watching you haphazardly warp your way through the Arvandi Woods in an attempt to get that treasure. In actuality, that's a decoy to make the player step onto the warp point. It's also a duplicate chest. You missed the real chest when you were searching for a way to get to the fake! Hahahahahaha.

Also, a great piece of advice I'd like to offer is to perhaps utilize the "Defend" option more. Unlike most games, defending in CoT reduces the enemy's damage by a lot. That's 'cause I've got the "Mighty Guard" option checked for all characters; it's next to useless otherwise and not really worth using.

Crap, I missed a treasure? That means I'm gonna have to go back there and find it. Thanks for the advice on defend, I'll keep that in mind.
Actually, it's too late to get it at this point! You've cleared all the monsters from the forest, which triggers the teleportation puzzle to disappear. Oh well! Nothing major anyway.

Nooooooo I must reload my save and do the forest again
Hmm I was thinking to just copy my comment above and post it as a review, maybe with a few introducing sentences in the beginning, since there aren't any reviews yet. But I'm really unfamiliar with that kind of stuff and never wrote a review so far because it takes some effort for me to write in English. Would my comment above "fulfill" the review standards of this site?
