"Celes, a woman raised from childhood as the prophesied Savior, embarks on a mission to fulfill her destiny and protect the world. But she soon finds herself at odds with a man with a mysterious investment in her mission, and learns that there may be more to her role than she bargained for..."

Eons ago, the world and all of its splendours were created by the magnificent and all-powerful being simply known as the "Creator." It wove the threads of life, and upon creating the planet of Tsufanubra, spotted it with its most cherished life-form: man.

Having gifted mankind with all of its blessing and necessities, the Creator simply watched as man forged his own path in life, and over the decades crafted himself in to a race of truly wondrous individuals numbering in the millions.

The Creator, however, grew tired of this creation, and thus gave life to three heavenly Kings to watch over and monitor the world in his stead. Overseeing their lord's creation from on-high, the Three Kings of Tsufanubra guided their people into an age of peace and prosperity for countless years to follow...

Then that fated day cameā€”the day wherein a great darkness spilled from the opposite world of Arbunafust, and threatened to dominate Tsufanubra and all who lived upon it. The efforts of this otherworldly force, however, were thwarted by the Three Kings. They gifted mankind with four divine relics, then simply waited for man to take back what had been stolen from them.

With the aid of their overseers, man was able to forcibly remove the invading force, and cast it back to whence it came.

Their purpose completed, the relics bore themselves into the earth, forever shedding their light in silence so that mankind could attain eternal peace.

There's an LP?! (And another Update!)

That's right, folks! UPRC (creator of the widely popular Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy series) has stated a "Let's Play" of Chronicles of Tsufanubra. If all of you kind folk would care to give this wonderful individual a Like and Share for his efforts, that'd be greatly appreciated!

And yes, there's been another update. Substantial? Kind of. The MP3 version of the game's now been officially made the default version you're prompted to download after clicking that big button up there in the corner. I found that the old MP3 edition was lacking a little something, so I went in and mixed things up a bit, added a few songs, tweaked a few stats, and cranked out what's now this game's DEFINITIVE EDITION!

So if you haven't downloaded CoT yet, or have been on the fence about doing so, there's never been a better time! Unless something truly game-breaking (randomly) pops up, I'm hoping to never lay my hands on this game again! I think it's time to let this baby rest.

Thanks for the continued support and all of the wonderful downloads and subscriptions you've given this game. I truly appreciate all of you amazing and wonderful people for making this project as great as it is! =D

I should have done this a long time ago. But I guess I was sick of looking at this project after working on it for so long? And it being my main focus for several years. Then I was overcome by renewed vigor! Because the MP3 version, too me, feels like the definitive version. It gives me a... strange PS1 game feel? As opposed to a more RPG Maker one that the original MIDI version has (to me).

Do I need to bust out the industrial super fly spray?

Maybe one of this rich Nigerian princes are supporting this from the background.
I started playing this game, it's charming and flows well. I like it.
I wanted to know if it's possible to get back to the trials in Hades' Maw as there's a couple of chest I'd like to get (I saw I missed them and went for it but in doing so, I missed the Bicolor Badge. I decided I'd rather have the latter. I guess I could redo, but noticed I had saved on that file) Thanks.
Thanks! But no, that's one of the very few areas in the game that's impossible to access again once you've completed your initial trek.

Glad you're enjoying it =D

Oh, I see :(
Well what I lost is regainable in other ways unlike the Badge, so I guess that's that. Wish I got some sort of warning before exiting the trial though.
I'll have to keep that in mind for future games!

At least the part about completely cutting one off from a particular area =P
When i download the game, the title screen does not even say Chronicles of Tsufanubra, and doesnt even look the same. It just says " Dragon quest" and the game has no music. Am sure this is some mistake on my part? Can i maybe get another link or be told why this is happening?
The game was originally called 'Dragon Fantasy Remade' and the title screen never got changed to reflect that. I've harped on Ephiam a couple of times over it xD

The music-not-working problem is new. Try downloading the 133MB version (Full Game 1.7) from the Download section. If the mp3 version doesn't work, maybe the midi one will.

Thats the one i downloaded, but is the title screen shown in the pictures not the real one? And the graphics look different in mine too. idk whats happening.
Huh. WEIRD.

I just clicked on the Download button at the top of the page (which is the MP3 version) and downloaded it. You then extract all the files in that downloaded file into a folder you create. After that, go into said folder and click the "RPG_RT" and everything should work fine! I got the "Chronicles of Tsufanubra" title screen and everything.

I just did it again. Top download button saying Full Game 1.7, extracted the files in a folder, opened RPG_RT, this is what i got.

no idea why all of this is happening.
Oh, oops. That's the MIDI version! So you clicked the "Download Now" button at the top of the page? Then you'll see this:

Then just click the link at the bottom there.

Or go to the "Downloads" tab at the top of the page (Between "Hidden Boss Locations" and "Playlists") and download the "Chronicles of Tsufanubra (MP3 Soundtrack)" version (385.9) MB. That should work!

Ok i did it, and this time this comes up. Lol.

This error pops u every time i try to run a rm2k or a rm2k3 game. I have not idea how to fix it.
You can use EasyRPG to run Chronicles of Tsufanubra on Linux. You can get EasyRPG from their website or use the ubuntu compiled version I put up for you.

To run it, make sure your directory structure looks like this:

Games/0/ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMidi.sh
Games/0/ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMP3.sh
Games/0/easyrpg-player
Games/easyRPG_lib/liblcf.so.0
Games/easyRPG_lib/libopusfile.so.0
Games/ChroniclesOfTsufanubra/Midi/ "All files from the Midi archive"
Games/ChroniclesOfTsufanubra/MP3/ "All files from the MP3 archive"

Double click ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMidi.sh or ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMP3.sh to execute it and thus launch the game.

Both the midi and the mp3 versions of the game run just fine in EasyRPG.

When i move the files in the game folder, the 0 folder goes in front as you said but the easyRPG_lib folder is after the Backdrop, Batlle, Charset and Chipset folders. Also, by doblue clicking the ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMidi.sh or ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMP3.sh files, they just open, they dont lunch the game at all. Thank you so much for doing all of this tho.
Here is a step by step list to run the game

1) create a directory named "Games"
2) download this zip file into the "Games" directory
3) right-click the file "EasyRPG.zip" and select "Extract Here"
4) create directory named "ChroniclesOfTsufanubra"
5) go in the "ChroniclesOfTsufanubra" directory
6) create directory named "MP3"
7) go in the "MP3" directory
8) download "Chronicles of Tsufanubra (MP3 Soundtrack)" file into the "MP3" directory
9) extract the game archive. If you use 7Zip in the terminal (by pressing "F4"), run the following command:

Your directory structure should now look like this:

Games/0/ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMidi.sh
Games/0/ChroniclesOfTsufanubraMP3.sh
Games/0/easyrpg-player
Games/easyRPG_lib/liblcf.so.0
Games/easyRPG_lib/libopusfile.so.0
Games/ChroniclesOfTsufanubra/MP3/Backdrop
Games/ChroniclesOfTsufanubra/MP3/Battle
Games/ChroniclesOfTsufanubra/MP3/ "... and all the other files from the download"

10) go to "Games/0/"
11) press "F4" to start a terminal within the current folder

This is how my directories ended up looking.

This is what happened when i ran the first command.

And this is when i ran the final command.

Pressing f4 did not open a terminal in 7zip, i right clicked the folders and opened a terminal inside them from there.
Your screenshots are very helpful. We should first make sure EasyRPG runs correctly. Here is a zip file that contains a small game to test that.

1) unzip the file
2) use your terminal to go to "Games/0" of the created directory
3) run the following command:
./DreadTheRabbit.sh

If Dread The Rabbit starts,
4) download Chronicles Of Tsufanubra and extract it in the empty folder "ChroniclesOfTsufanubra"
5) use your terminal to go to "Games/0" of the directory created at step 1)
6) run the following command:
./ChroniclesOfTsufanubra .sh

If Dread The Rabbit doesn't start, show the error message that displays in your terminal.

Technical explanation:
EasyRPG uses SDL2 and needs some SDL2 shared object files to run (those .so. files). I develop my games using SDL2; consequently all SDL2 shared object files are available on my machine and I can't identify the ones you need to run EasyRPG from the ones you don't need.
