Howdy all! So, it's been a good long while since I last posted, but at long last, I do believe the game is now finished! 99.99% done, at least, there's still a couple things that I haven't been ABLE to do (still looking for a spriter for a character), and there might still be bugs and glitches here and there, but overall, the game is actually done after nearly 12 years in the works!

Main file: https://rpgmaker.net/games/3758/downloads/10309/
Music: https://rpgmaker.net/games/3758/downloads/10310/

As usual, anyone that is willing to testrun the game for bugs and glitches, feedback, etc. would be highly welcomed! But for now, I will consider the game "DONE". Which...in a way, kinda makes me both very happy and very sad...I don't know how to feel overall.

In The cave where there are ! switches, in the upper left corner when you remove the orange !, it won't let me enter the door.
Xenomic, great work! I haven't played yet but I am downloading it now. I'm working on my own project that's teetering at that "almost done" stage myself so I totally know the feeling of needing some testers. I'll dive in and give you some feed back when I can! o/
That battle is actually something from LATER in the game, so it's a thing that pops up much MUCH sooner as a "early game" sidequest. There's methods of increasing Steal% via equipment (Doubles it, in fact).

Yeah, only one has the capability to Steal. Mostly because she makes the most sense in doing so (and because I didn't want to double up on the coding for every single enemy in the game...). ^^;
I think you should consider increasing the steal success % in the fairy battle in human city. I actually recorded my battle and I think you should watch it and see if the time it took for me to steal in the battles was worth it or if it needs some tweaking. Here is the link to the video:

I do think that there should be more characters that can steal. I'm only aware of one character so far especially if you can steal scrolls during boss battles.

Found it again and it was 6 years ago so that's something anyone would forget lol
Maybe I should pay attention to dates.

But who said anything about Alice being playable? :thinks hard:

You actually, I looked the game up when I got it to see if anyone was talking about it etc on another site and saw some caps of Alice, don't tell me she isn't. ;_;

Because the problem is that I needed to tell WHAT the equipment does (and even then, what I have isn't everything that's told. Everything is in the Inventory document though, but be warned that it will tell you who can use what).

Sounds like someone got the reference : v

That makes sense, I've just been basing most of my equipment on stats.
I'll save the document for another time, no need to spoil myself any more than I already have knowing about Alice being playable.

Yes, it is, in fact, for Marisa. Sneaking Suit is also a reference. To what? Should be easy to figure out. The old description that items had were fun...for this one, the description was "Just don't try to smuggle cigarettes, would ya?!"

Good, was wondering if that'd been a bug but I'll save it for Mari.
Why did you remove descriptions like that?

Good. So it doesn't outright remove them AND it doesn't allow you to duplicate trading them in? That's good. I'm just hoping that it doesn't mess anything ELSE up later on that involves dolls, hue.

Doesn't duplicate them no, I've 9, she just doesn't talk to me afterwards I've given the 8th one
That said the sneaking suit she did give me I can't equip on anyone yet, doesn't have any qualifiers like human only or anything so is it for a later character? I was joking about Mari but perhaps it is for her?

Yeah, skill books open up once you actually HAVE the characters accessible (if you cannot access them at all, such as Marisa when she leaves the party, then you cannot buy them skills UNTIL you get them back). It generally goes in the order that you obtain characters...generally, anyways. Not always the case, sadly. And it's not ALWAYS obvious what the skill shops are (in one particular shopping area, it's books, but in bookshelves and not on tables I believe...).

Skill upgrades are in the item shop as the books. I believe the NPC even mentions it in there too.
I didn't find any shops prior to clearing out the Mansion that sells skill books. It did make the game difficult at the beginning. You probably have to grind for about two hours at the beginning.

I found no bugs with exchanging dolls (you get to keep them).

The skill books are in the shop below the inn in the human village, easy to miss because most will say unavailable the first time you go in but they're there, they're red, you've probably seen them.
You probably know now but just to clarify for anyone new, farthest left is reimu's if I remember correctly, lets you buy more than one as well but I think you only need one.

Yup yup, I meant finding my way out of the forest, still by Alice's place.

Have you been upgrading your skills? That seems to be a thing that people tend to forget to do a lot in this game. Levels for the most part aren't TOO big of a deal, but they do help with the extra HP/MP/Speed in some areas of the game, that's for sure. Equipment can also make or break fights as well.

You are free to trade in the dolls, no worries on that one. Hopefully the coding is right on that.

That's something I'd been neglecting, I suppose I should, preferring to just brute force things which was made easier when I went in to one of the high level caves northwest of the SDM and found a +100 attack oni item which was a nice boost.

I'm glad I can trade the dolls, Alice is my fav touhou so it would have been bad if it would make me miss out on her, saved before trying but the girl has some really decent items it seems, a sneaking suit, will be good for me when Mari comes back and I get back to looti- borrowing from everyone's houses.

Will come post here if I notice any bugs or things that seem off.

Time to go find my skill upgrades.

Only recently heard about this so I've only just got to Marisa's house but so far it's fun, if not a bit hard, not enough exp.
Now I'm just wondering if I should trade the dolls or keep them, kinda wondering if they're used to unlock Alice later on.

Thank you for all the effort in to the game even if I wasn't here to see you put it in.
