This game is a tribute to the old school program RPG Maker 2000 that I used to live off of back in the day.

KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU MAY NEED A FONT PATCH FOR THIS ONE!
https://app.box.com/s/39b5a2b5219b0d9b310e THIS PATCH WORKS GREAT!

REGULAR VERSION;
http://rpgmaker.net/games/3766/downloads/3732/

In this quest you play as a Dark Elf named Dagree. He's a simple treasure hunter who is normally feared by humans. For some reason, the citizens of Vitality Island aren't scared of him except for the naughty Royal Family. Along the way you can make choices in the game that determine what side character you'll end up with.

The story itself is easy to follow and doesn't really need to be serious.
Most of the characters that you talk to probably rode on the short bus.

Notes for the adventure; Other main characters come into the play as well. If you join up with the wizard he'll have his own problems that come into light during the quest for you. If you kill the wizard you get a thief to replace the loss. If you don't talk to everyone, future quests won't become available and you'll miss out on items, weapons, or hidden bosses. There are also abilities that your characters can learn (pushing stones, raiding houses). I'm going to guess that the game time runs at about 10 hours long or so.

2013 VERSION;
Even though I'm working on Epic Elf 2, I had to return to this project simply because I enjoy playing around with it. I think that it's finally time to move on. If you enjoyed Epic Elf, this version will entertain you as well!
I fixed up the story, added more mini quests, enemies, jokes, bosses, blood, creepy stuff and secret items. Enjoy! Dagree gets a happy ending in this one!

So the "Fixed Version" of Epic Elf is done!

I just submitted the (hopefully) final version of Epic Elf.
So, it's a little easier and a few extra things were added, like a side quest in Limbo and an extra cut scene with Daploma. You will be able to use your old save file incase you were wondering.
So I hope that helps those who had a hard time with the game, and if there are still minor glitches . . . . damn it!

I am using DAGREE/CLUDD/BORGAN/BAWL. Never had CLINT offer to join the group again. Lost him way back on the other side. KNIGHTMARE has 4000HP....what a butthole to beat.
Lol, if you think 4k is alot, wait til you fight Skoal~ :D (He's sort of a weakling, but his hp is nuts!)
Sana you are a ray of sunshine arent you!

Sana you are a ray of sunshine arent you!
Lol, I can't say that I'm not, since I'm usually cheerful, though I do have my moments of loathing~ :)
Just submitted my review for this, hope you like it when it's out spirit_young~ :)
Nice! I just submitted my first review yesterday and I'll probably write more! Yeah, there's a few things I will take into consideration (mainly high HP wise on a few bosses) and I'm going to make the spells slightly stronger to those who are weak againts it.
There are a few secrets in the game worth checking out!
Limbo; after you get the Well Jumper ability you can go back to Jinya's Fort and a mirror will appear.
Kint; you pretty much have to kill Calvin when you first meet him and Kint will be hanging out at Duncan Bridge. He will learn the ability to break into houses that you couldn't get in before.
Yeah, Sana! Glad you had fun! Time to start another quest!
And Roy, keep your save file cause you will be able to use it on the "Fixed" version.

I hate RPG Maker because of what it has done to me

I'm in the middle of crap right now but I promise I'll play this. Q_Q
Oh, so basically Kint is Calvin's alternative? I chose not to kill him so he's still with me in the Front Gate.. xD

I'm guessing Limbo's either a SUPERRR (Quiet Franky!) item, or an optional area? *o*
Gibmaker: I hear ya man! I would've had this game done earlier if it wasn't for real life agendas!

Sana: Yeah, I tried to add a little re-play to the game when you run through it again in the Ex-Mode. Limbo is just an optional area where you visit the ghosts of old bosses and people.

I'll pop this comment here, as I don't want to spam up the review drive's page with chatter about what I intend to put in the review.. :P

I didn't think it was too difficult. There were parts where it was like, "hm, this boss is really tricky, so I better go fight a bunch of monsters/spend my oodles of gold on items to kick its ass." I used what was given to me, really, which is what games are all about. Be kinda silly to have a load of battle items/skills in there that never get used.. I hate games that do that.

I won't put too much detail here until I'm done playing, but I found the Titan quite difficult to beat (must've killed me about 5 times before I decided to go outside and grind a bit more) and Zena was *slightly* tricky - I expected the curse scroll to do a bit more to her. I've just killed her and have yet to move on. (Don't worry, my review won't be horrible. :P)
I went back and did find that the Titan was much tougher than I remember! So he's a little easier now. Yeah, with reviews I'm looking for brutal honesty! I expect that there will be some people who either like it or hate it (pretty much with every game). Looking forward to what you have to say about it!
Hey I'm in the castle now...i gotta say before i went there Red Evil popped up 3 times, once when you gt the yellow gem, then when u have all of them he pops up in magistica...then at the lake -.- but i must say i just fought Hex and if Sana think Skoal had alot i wonder if he fought Hex yet...painful fight but worth it.

You just fight his "copy".

wonderful...
yea i just beat him, nice points and coins but he was so hard that only Dagree could really damage him
I think Daploma was harder than the final boss!

are you kidding me? i cant even bring my allies back to life without Bio Weapon casting a hit all spell! its just like fighting thaat little kid in one on one, but worse
I casted Satan Seal at least three times, and if you have Calvin the stupid spell works too! Having 400 + HP on each character helps as well.
