This game is a tribute to the old school program RPG Maker 2000 that I used to live off of back in the day.

KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU MAY NEED A FONT PATCH FOR THIS ONE!
https://app.box.com/s/39b5a2b5219b0d9b310e THIS PATCH WORKS GREAT!

REGULAR VERSION;
http://rpgmaker.net/games/3766/downloads/3732/

In this quest you play as a Dark Elf named Dagree. He's a simple treasure hunter who is normally feared by humans. For some reason, the citizens of Vitality Island aren't scared of him except for the naughty Royal Family. Along the way you can make choices in the game that determine what side character you'll end up with.

The story itself is easy to follow and doesn't really need to be serious.
Most of the characters that you talk to probably rode on the short bus.

Notes for the adventure; Other main characters come into the play as well. If you join up with the wizard he'll have his own problems that come into light during the quest for you. If you kill the wizard you get a thief to replace the loss. If you don't talk to everyone, future quests won't become available and you'll miss out on items, weapons, or hidden bosses. There are also abilities that your characters can learn (pushing stones, raiding houses). I'm going to guess that the game time runs at about 10 hours long or so.

2013 VERSION;
Even though I'm working on Epic Elf 2, I had to return to this project simply because I enjoy playing around with it. I think that it's finally time to move on. If you enjoyed Epic Elf, this version will entertain you as well!
I fixed up the story, added more mini quests, enemies, jokes, bosses, blood, creepy stuff and secret items. Enjoy! Dagree gets a happy ending in this one!

So the "Fixed Version" of Epic Elf is done!

I just submitted the (hopefully) final version of Epic Elf.
So, it's a little easier and a few extra things were added, like a side quest in Limbo and an extra cut scene with Daploma. You will be able to use your old save file incase you were wondering.
So I hope that helps those who had a hard time with the game, and if there are still minor glitches . . . . damn it!

Here's a link to the Epic Edition (which will be out very soon)!
Alrighty! I finished the Epic Elf Epic Edition today. I'm gonna run through it a few more times and look for glitches; but rather than that I should have it up and running by tomorrow! And the final boss is now a little on the beatable side!
Is there a walkthrough for Epic Elf ?

I have the red and green gems and for the life of me I cannot find the other 2 !
The Yellow Orb is in Witchwood, now called Biowood in the top right corner.
The Blue Orb is in the Blaze Cave, now called Chilled Cave in the top left corner.
I haven't had time to write a walkthrough for this game. Lack of motivation lately.
I'm telling you guys! This is the version to be downloading!

ETA It's OK I figured it out !
My old project WAR FORCE
https://www.box.com/s/56re2f1ccktrtuhihwy5

I put this game together three years ago and figured . . . sure . . . it's not great, but it does support an OST that I created from Music Generator. Why not throw it out there!

Kinda like Epic Elf, you explore a demonic island as the assassin Verge in search of his target. There are seven areas to explore and each one will take a little time to beat. Keep in mind that this game focused more on battles than a plot, but it still has the Spirit Young . . . spirit of humor!

This was what I noticed when playing through the game;
1) I noticed that this game was beatable, just not finished. In fact, there was an area (not sure where it was going) that would've been called Nightfire Caves that didn't make it into the game.
2) The OST I created many years ago on Music Generator (like eight or seven) was when I was going through a techno phase . . . so lots of beats that doesn't really fit a fantasy RPG. But oh well! It still kicked! The quality wasn't quite perfect, though.
3) The story was pretty lame. Even the main character makes fun of it! Towards the end there really isn't much story going on at all! Just war with enemies!
4) Looking back on this project, I've learned a lot as far as making better games! I forgot all about War Force until recently, and it shows its age!
5) The amount of money you get in this game is insane! I never had to sell a single item!
6) Once a music track is done in the game it has a three second pause before it loops. Kinda weak but that's life! I made it a goal to beat enemies before the music re-started!
7) I'll be honest . . . this game had a very lame ending! I kinda want to go back and add stuff to this project but I really gotta start focusing on Epic Elf 2!

Give it a go if you're up to it!
So it's been a while since I last used RPG Maker. So before I started my effort on Epic Elf 2, I went ahead a brushed this game up a bit (added about a hundred things, including new events, extra enemies, selling old crap option, and more secrets) and hopefully found the rest of the big glitches.

Here is is; http://rpgmaker.net/games/4658/

PS. You can now get drunk at the Ardvark Bar and get thrown in jail that way! For the greater good, of course.
I've been fixing up this game while working on Epic Elf 2.
It will have much more story, more events (like a big zombie battle), new bosses, more places to explore, minions will learn skills from defeating rare enemies rather than just leveling up and a chance to use all the characters (plus a new minion, maybe). The only thing I'm taking out is the game re-play when you beat it. I added too much stuff and there really is no point in this.
If you haven't got enough Epic Elf . . . I'll have this re-make ready in a couple weeks! I'm a fan of my own game I guess! Oh yeah . . . there will be more blood!
I am so glad I have downloaded and experienced Epic Elf, that it has made me raged harder at an RPG Maker game towards the end. Which is good. Challenge is necessary for a good RPG, but spirit_young, you made me die a lot. Like, really. A lot. :D For certain optional bosses and even main bosses in the game, I had to have 99 Cure 1 scrolls, 50 Cure 2 scrolls, 50 Detox Scrolls, and at least 40 Mana Scrolls just because I am that hardcore, and because it became that difficult. I am extremely impressed with Epic Elf. You took a lot of effort to make literally, a flawless classic. As much as it made me angry at points, I love it. I still yet have to beat the epic edition and the second Epic Elf.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm working on a fuller version of this game (with added story mainly) for fans of the game! It will even have a hint system to help those defeat harder enemies!
Done! So this is the Epic Elf Epic Edition on crack!
Hey spirit_young. So, what's new on this download? I have the Epic edition (lots of stuff changed by the way), is it worth downloading the newer version and start it all again? Thanks
The installation keeps looping for me.
Dam, spirit never stops. Always something new.

I changed quite a bit with this one . . . mainly the story was fixed up quite a bit. Some of the enemies look a little different, and I added some custom sprites (mainly bloodied up bodies). You can also get damaged by more objects (like in the first cave you'll open up a level 2 chest and an enemy pushes a mine cart at you that you can dodge or get nailed by it and that was a run on sentence!) There were at least a few hundred things changed (there's even a zombie attack battle now) but all in all it is the same ol' Epic Elf! It's to show what to expect when Epic Elf 2 comes out which will also go through changes since its demo. If you find the Illegal Liquid don't drink it unless you want one of the bad endings!

I really do need to stop with this game though! I'm pulling a Capcom like it did with Street Fighter. But everytime I run through this game I'm always finding many ways to make it more kick ass!
