Legionwood 2 is finally on sale!

The day everyone a small group of hardcore fans has been waiting for is here: after almost four years of development, the full version of Legionwood 2 has finally been released. As of this very moment, the game is available to purchase from the Dark Gaia Studios website in all of its indie, SNES-style Role Playing Game glory.

As I’ve posted before, the game retails for $5.99 USD (even though I live in Australia it’s so much easier to handle online payments in American dollars) and you can pay for your copy via Paypal, credit card or wire transfer – it’s all handled securely through the game’s distributor. All purchased copies of Legionwood 2 are completely DRM-free and can be backed up on an external drive or transferred to other PCs with ease.

I’m also working on getting the game available through Desura and its associated portals. The Desura edition of Legionwood 2 is currently being evaluated and should be online within the next two weeks. By the end of March I’ll also hopefully have the game out on some of the larger RPG Maker portals such as Amaranth Games and RPG Maker Web as well.

I first started working on Legionwood 2 back in 2010 right after Legionwood 1’s release. After countless betas and even a complete rewrite in a new engine, I’m so excited that the game is finally complete and ready to be devoured by masses of hungry fans. It’s been an awesome ride working on this game and engaging with all the people who tested its various beta builds – without your feedback, it definitely wouldn’t be as good as it is today. I really hope that you enjoy Legionwood 2 and its epic continuation of the Legionwood canon.

You can start your adventure by purchasing the game or downloading the free demo here. Happy adventuring!

Oh, that was nice. Can't wait for the next beta.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully I won't take too long with the next release.
loved the first one.. just finished it and had a great time playing it.. hope i find bugs to report..
Just wanted to say this is one of my favorite RPG Maker games of all time. I loved the first Legionwood!

Keep up the great work!
hi... how am i suppose to defeat the goblin king?? for the 8th time he uses his AOE skill and 1 hits my party even if i give the mountaineer's boots to my character who has the most hp..
Slow him with a gunner, I think you can try and make him sleep and poison. Also just pray he doesnt use it.
does anyone else find toxify annoying? seriously almost all enemy groups at the beginning maps have at least one who will toxify and when you ran out of antibiotics its hard to get by... and when out of battle the bad status persists and keeps on damaging your hero, dunno if walking around while having toxify will kill your hero but its annoying having to battle mobs with low hp..
Toxify won't kill your heroes - it'll actually wear off after 50-100 steps. Also, a couple of the monsters in the first area either drop or have Antibiotics to steal.

I did warn you that the game was hard :)
where does the game end? ferrum catacombs?? cause the game keeps on crashing once you enter the catacombs..

bugs i think ive found:
2 handed weapons such as bows and some swords are equip as one handed by rouge..
in the ferrum cutscene where you get to speak with the senator there are 2 Aelia - might be caused by when i faced the wind spirit, the main hero got blown away..
No, the game ends a fair bit after the Ferrum Catacombs. Nobody else has reported such a crash. Could you tell me a little more about it so that I could fix it for you?

The 2 handed bug is something I'm aware of. The Rogue isn't supposed to be able to dual wield them, but I haven't actually gotten around to implementing the restriction yet. The Aelia bug is one I didn't know about; it's indeed caused by Lionel being blown away during the battle. I'll add it to the list of things to fix.
nevermind the ending part, i got the credits and finished it...

--in catacombs i dont know why but if i meet a mob the game just closes, there is no warning or any window that pops out...
--another bug that i found is when stealing from seraphs (angels) the game crashes and a window pops up saying "Script 'Battle_StealSkil' line 1043: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method `icon_index` for nil:NilClass"
--another thing is the when sleep is inflicted on an enemy is it permanent cause when i get to inflict an enemy with the slumber sword's effect they dont seem to wake up so i just spam block until i get full hp and sp for my heroes..
Hmm, not sure what could be causing the crash in the catacomb. As I said, nobody else has experienced it, so I don't know what the issue could be.

The NoMethodError occurring with the Seraphs is a scripting error, so I'll have my scripter look at that.

And as far as I know, sleep isn't permanent - it lasts 5 rounds or so.
crashing might have something to do with the notebook i was using, its kinda old so maybe it cant handle some effects or something cause when i played it on my pc it went smoothly.. anyways the game was fun.. cant wait for the updates.. keep up the good work..

by the way do i get something when i donate big amounts of K in the churches???
Just good karma, if you're on the negative path. You're doing a good deed, but that itself leads to other things :)
hmmm, well I've been stealing almost every chest i see in town lol, maybe its time to donate...

by the way never got to say thank you for making it a non commercial game and for making brilliant games... mabuhay!
The donations should offset the bad karma you got from stealing from owned chests nicely. That's the reason I put the donations in - it's a way to be able to do one or two "bad" things but still be able to offset it and stay on the good path.

In the next update of the game, there'll also be a neutral path, too, so be careful about what you do.
Minor announcement:

Legionwood 2 will officially resume development on January 10th. Check back then for an in depth blog post about what you can expect in the next release. :)
Has the first one being featured inspired you for this at all? Because I might even go play the first one again. :)
Yes, it has inspired me quite a bit. The next Beta will probably be out within the next month, and then there's only Act III left to do and the game's done! I'm plugging away.
