Restarted Project The Hallowed Line.

I have restarted working on my project The Hallowed Line. I lost all my files due to a computer virus and pretty much had to. The story line will remain the same as before but the maps have changed. Instead of using RPGMaker VX Ace to work on this I switched to RPGMaker MV.

The Future of THL 1.25:

  • MMORPG mixed with normal RPG Gameplay (Quests, Reputation Rewards, Main story with option to branch off and do you own thing)

  • Professions - Craft Item, weapons and armor or create wonderful delicacies.

  • Spec System - Change the way your heros fight via Menu options.

  • more to come!


Looking for Lost VXAce Version 1.75
I am looking to see if any of my subscribers may happen to have The Hallowed Line Version 1.75 on their computer. My PC crashed and I had no backup. What you see now is all brand new made with MV but I would rather work on Ace.

I just recently uploaded the most current version of THL. For those of you who have played it here are some of the changed.

Tweaked Chapter 1.(5/5/2017)

Added a Custom Title Screen.(5/5/2017)
Changed the Battle System Layout.(5/5/2017)
Added Day/Nigh system that goes off real time.(5/5/2017)

Subbed; hope everything goes well.
I started the demo was going good until i tried to leave the house and i got an error

Easy fix : Do 1 of the 2 options

1) Copy Outside_C.png from your RTP to the games Graphics/tilesets folder and rename it "outside_c modded"
2) Wait for next release (2-3 Days)

This was my bad (I forgot to import outside_c modded to my game so it did not export it when i compiled the game, will be fixed on next release, thanks for the information Ruserious)

Fixed Issue with the RTP, thanks this wont be an issue in the future :)

Just re-download and give it another shot.
Pre patch crashed all 5 times I played it.

When it crashes what error does it give you, do you have the VXA RTP? and you can only save in Fechnia's Church (Most North Western Building)
During the new patch tutorial, when I fight any of the three guys far top right I beat it the first time and get a buttload of experience and if I try it again to see what happens....it crashes everytime.

What is the error when it crashes, or does it just shut down with now error?

Save point is in the church in town, Most north-western building.
Also when it "Crashes" what does it do, what error does it give because it does not crash for me.
newest demo.....example: top right...fight rat games crashes...redo, fight rat ,it doesnt crash, fight it again,game crashes. Are we supposed to gain experience fighting the rat and plant before we enter the village.
Mapping is beautiful but why all the completely aimless wandering and dead ends. Going nowhere. Wandering around the world map I encounter some girl....she simply kills me and game over.
Why is the church the only save point...and you need to walk a fair distance just to get TO it.
You talk to one guy and it goes back and forth between dark and light....but the two buttons seem to do exactly the same thing.
Rat Fight Crashing : I am not sure what could be causing this because I can not recreate the crash on my own machine, does it crash before the battle, during the battle. Does it give you an error message when it crashes or does it just quit to desktop? As for if you have to fight the rat and plant to Go to the town, no. Also did the game ever crash when you were in a battle on the world map?

Aimless Wandering : I have not placed any NPCs or events into the game yet, this demo is for cosmetic reasons only. Before I take the time to incorperate the story and events into the maps I want to make sure its all up to snuff because i REALLY hate backtracking, and with all my maps being parallax its very time consuming to have to change something after it is created. As for the shear mass of Fechnia Valley, there will be a lot going on in there such as quests, main story events, puzzles and treasures. One way I think of remedying the mass issue is to increase the character movement speed in the next installment.

Valeska : Yea, I know she is a LITTLE over powered lol.

Save Points : I will be adding save points in key locations in later installments, the Church will not be the only place you can save, also I have have it so you can save on the world map when you get a vehicle (more on that later).

Light Guy : Not exactly, to you yes the buttons do the same thing, but the guy will not change the time of day, he is there so i can demo new light overlays without having to create a new event and/or map. The buttons will change the time of day also. (Talk to the girl next to the Light guy to see what i mean)
