The Eight Divine:

After the battles against Gramros and the Ancients Sacrifice, the eight beings that helped them were the responsable for the Humans' Creation. Nowadays we know and worship them as the Eight Divine, our Guardians and Guides. To each Divine we asign an Element and a precious Ore, according to His/Her place in the Eight. Although most of time we talk about the Divine as a group, many people worship a specific personal Divine with more devotion, reasons being promisse, duty, or simply choice. The Eight Divine are as follow:

I) Edward, the Knight

Regent Element: Light
Regent Ore: Diamond

The Divine of Strength, Justice and Order. Edward is specifically worshiped at the Capital of the Empire, Crestburgh, for two main reasons: The first is legend that says the first Emperor was a noble from House Crestburgh who received a blessing from Edward himself. The second is because Justice and Order are the main goals of the Knights of the Emperor, a group of Knights loyal to the the Crown and Edward. Vows to Edward are made by these Knights when they finish their training.

II) Alwin, the Agile

Regent Element: Wind
Regent Ore: Emerald

The Divine of Hope, Pacience and Persistence. Alwin is well-known as the Divine who taught Archery to Humans. Because of that, its specially worshiped by archers.

III) Matthew, the Shadow

Regent Element: Darkness
Regent Ore: Amethyst

The Divine of Night, Inteligence and Discretion. Little is known about him among the normal citizens, but rumors say that he is very worshiped by Thiefs and outlaws.

IV) Elizabeth, the Lady

Regent Element: Fire
Regent Ore: Ruby

The Divine of Magic, Music and Beauty. All Human Mages are born with Elizabeth's Blessing, and have the gift of using many powerful magics in change of of a faithful worship. Female Mages are also mostly blessed with a portion of Elizabeth's own Beauty, althogh most of the time this beauty hides their magical capabilities.

V) Horian, the Guardian

Regent Element: Earth
Regent Ore: Amber

The Divine of Forests, Nature and Traveling. Very worshiped by the Travelers who want safe trips and by cities established among forests.

VI) Kriscaryn, the Maiden

Regent Element: Water
Regent Ore: Sapphire

The Divine of Seas, Tranquility and Perfection. Kriscaryn is usually seen as the Female counterpart of Edward, because the Female Warrios who made vows for her after a hard training become Maidens, which are seen as the Female Knights of the Emperor. Fishers are also among her followers, because of her influence on the Seas.

VII) Thelon, the Sage

Regent Element: Thunder
Regent Ore: Topaz

The Divine of Herbs, Alchemy and Wisdom. The Divine who taught the Art of Alchemy to Humans, thelon is known and worshiped by many followers of this Art, including Healers.

VIII) Isand, the Lord

Regent Element: Ice
Regent Ore: Crystal

The Divine of War, Strategy and Loneliness. Isand teaching's say that war is more than just battle, that it has personal and mutual reasons, and is a good way of testing someone's capabilities. Samurais, Monks and even some Warriors live in Shrines on the Mountains, separated from the rest of the world, where they learn and apply Isand's teachings on the Arts of Battle.

Kingdom of Urysia:

A kingdom located on Arelron's Northern Islands. Urysia was founded by the humans who were against the foundation of the Crestburgh Empire, who then fled to islands and proclaimed a Kingdom in 203. Currently ruled by King Falcon.

Battle of the First Era:

Known for being the reason of the Empire's establishment, the Battle of the First Era happened between the various lords that lived on Central Arelron, in 142. It was a dispute to see who would rule supreme over the land. Records say that Peter Crestburgh, the Swordmaster, one of the lords at the time, got a blessing from the Divine Edward himself. That way, he and his soldiers defeated most of the other lords and made the rest flee from the region. The Crestburgh Empire was born that way, and Peter was crowned Emperor Peter I.

Eras:

Historians usually divide the years of Arelron's History in periods called Eras. The eras are a away to separate important facts on the World's History and to make studies easier. The Eras are as follow:

Ancient Era:

It's the time before the Humans, when the Ancients ruled in Arelron. It's beginning is unknown, but it ends when the humans are born. Since there was no human Calendar there, we usually refer to the years on this Era with an AE after the year, so 45 AE would be the 45th year of the Ancient Era, which is 45 years before the creation of humans, the year 0.

First Era:

The Era when humans were born, it starts on their creation and ends on the Battle of the First Era and the foundation of the Crestburgh Empire, in 142.

Second Era:

This Era starts after the establishment of the Empire and ends with the assassination of the last Peter Crestburgh, Emperor Peter VIII, and his sons, in 453, which led to many battles among the Crestburgh family to see who would rule the Empire. It's the longest Era known.

Third Era:

Our current Era. Started with the crowning of Emperor John I, Peter VIII's cousin, who won the disputes for the Empire's throne. Our current year is 754, and the Empire is ruled by Emperor Uriel III and the Kingdom of Urysia by King Falcon.
