Just prior to the writing of this blog post, I finished completing the end credits and post-credit scenes of my game! It was great joy that I announce that my game is now completely playable from start to finish. I almost can't believe it. The game is pretty much 98% finished! What's next?
Well, I have plans for two more optional side quests. These shouldn't take long to complete, because they probably will consist of only one or two extra maps each.
Other than that, I need to make some minor graphical improvements to certain sections and playtest the game a couple of times. As well, I plan on hiring an artist to produce some faceset graphics for me. If anybody would like to offer their services or recommend services of another, please let me know. Afterward, I will be fully ready to release the beta version to playtesters! Quite a few kind folks have already volunteered. For those who have not yet volunteered, stay tuned for a future blog post which will offer you a chance to sign up.
My latest play-test clocked in at about 24 hours. I expect that the average person's play-time will be a bit longer than that - obviously, I already know where everything in the game is, and I tend to skip past dialogue that I've already read over 1,000 times.
