Castle Arddlech - an abandoned castle atop a snowy mountain, once considered impenetrable. I strived to create a relatively realistic castle, epic in scope.

Wow, yeah. I'm blown away by the amount of effort poured into this single game area. Great work as usual.

This is bloody awesome. You are bloody awesome.
holy fucking shit

that mind-bogglingly intricate complex of cliffs on the lefthand side...can the player actually navigate that area, like is there gameplay there? if not, if all those cliffs are there just to look purty, well obviously you are a mapping genius but I think you might also be an actual crazy person :P

(The overall layout vaguely reminds me of the Lost Bastille from Dark Souls 2 for some reason.)

Yes, you can explore it! Well, most of it. There is definitely some areas that you actually could never see in-game.

This is actually my favorite map I ever made. I don't think I can ever top this. It's insanely detailed, and I looked at floorplans of actual castles to make its layout as realistic as possible. There is some Demon Souls/Dark Souls inspiration on this map indeed, so good eye! World 1-1 (Boletaria) in Demons Souls was an influence, as well as the Undead Burg in Dark Souls.

But yeah. Those cliffs. It was insanely hard to keep track of the elevations so that it would make logical sense, but somehow I succeeded.
