Premature Break

Hello everyone, I have some bad news. But before I get to that, i'd like to say that the development for MWL is going smoothly, however, due to a recent hard drive crash, the game is going on hiatus. I've been blessed enough for the computer to run as long as it has. However, I just...ran out of luck this time. Don't get me wrong, all the development tools for the game are on a flash drive, but all my memories and data of 2015 and 2016 and the first quarter of 2017 are gone. To be honest I don't feel all that well right now. I'm simply devastated.

Until I get a new computer or it magically fixes itself somehow, I have to unwillingly place the game on hiatus. I am truly sorry. Until next time.

Oh god, that's pretty bad news. I think there are some tools for recovering files or something, or companies that do that. If needed maybe you should look for one of those things. Dunno if they can do their magic on non-functioning drives though. But it's potentially an option :^D!

But yeah, hope you go well, take your time, sometimes you need to take a break, sip a breath, ummm step back, look at some cows, and... yeah. Take a break :^).

The f=m·a be with you (I just threw all I know about physics in one line).
Did you have a cloud backup or anything like that?
I did, but i never saved anything to it because i always thought that my pc would run correctly. It seemed just fine on Sunday. I guess I'll do what orochii suggested and try to salvage some data from the drive. Everything i need including the game itself is on an external usb (thank God!!), but everything else is...gone:( once again I've failed to backup my files due to being naive. I won't let it happen again.

Thankfully, i have all the rips and everything I need, but it's haunting thinking about all your content just vanishing all of a sudden. I hope all works out.
so when you say "hard drive crash" what do you mean? Windows not loading? If so, you can try using a linux bootdisk and accessing the HD files that way. (I've had to do this several times in the past to recover files from a fucked over Windows machine)
I definitely agree that you should see if anything can be salvaged from the hard drive. Even if it's a long shot, the chance to recover your stuff is always worth some time and frustration.

Also, if you haven't done so already, you might want to copy the contents of that flash drive to another computer or a cloud service; it would be awful to have saved at least some stuff to a backup only to have it lost if the backup in turn stops working.
That's the thing, i have been trying all week to fix this black screen of death that occurs after startup. I've tried the recovery usb drive that has saved me multiple times, but now it won't even boot the recovery drive. It says Unmountable Boot Volume.

And yes, i have plans on getting a few drives to backup and place them on mediafire and clouds storages.

By hard drive crash, i mean that the disk was always at 100~% and i turned it off when it became unresponsive. Since then, it hasn't booted past the start up logo. Just an infinite loop of nothing. This is precious time i'm losing to go into development. I got to do something.
