Game Premise:
Quaden is a rather shy, young adult living at home with his parents in Zoasis, a peaceful city known for the art of "dream catching" - the process of entering people's dreams to cure them of physical or psychological ailments, while at other times being used as reconnaissance in military operations. He hopes to become a Dream Catcher himself, but this in itself will be no easy task.

Events unfold and what starts out as a rather serene and ordinary quiet life becomes something quite different - a life unexpected with tough decisions to make; decisions that will test Quaden's morality and judgment, and allow him to ultimately grow as a person.

Game Info:
- Interactive Story RPG focusing heavily on storytelling and character development.
- In production since the arrival of Rm2k3 almost a decade ago.
- No level grinding. Characters level up through storyline progression so you can focus on the journey itself rather than on battles.
- Character decisions impact story events and what skills are learned
- Highly customized DBS

To Please or Not to Please...

That is the question.

I have to admit that for the longest time I've felt somewhat of a lack of motivation regarding this project on account on the lack of feedback I have received. Is it worth continue if there is no captive audience? How do I know what they want if I don't hear from them? Is this silence something positive or negative? Those were some of the thoughts plaguing my mind, but then I realized something, who cares?

I'm not making this game for praise or glory, I'm making something that I can be proud of, something to stand behind and say, 'yes, after all the years of hard work, I did it!'

So I'm a little ashamed it took me this long to figure this out for my own, but now that I have this realization I will forge full speed ahead! Expect a few more blogs from me from this point onwards on my design process and decisions. I want to document this new spiritual step on my journey.

Ugh modifying this CSS is driving me crazy! Need to figure out how to change the text and background color of the comments now.
This looks good. Is it finished?

*This CSS is giving me nightmares!

Yeah sorry about that, still working on figuring on how to style the comments. If anyone wants to give me some points I'm all ears.

Alright, fixed things up a bit. Hopefully this looks acceptable.

As to the game's state of completion, it's still a way's away.

Similar to my game Dreamwalker here on RPGMAKERNET, I kind of gave up on it a long time ago, I'll properly continue some time down the track.

Yeah, I did see this game somewhere.

Nope, you've got dark text on a dark bg. I have to highlight your text to read it.

A way's away, huh? Too bad.

Still? I'm seeing white text on a dark bg.
Can't help to think that this has been inspired by a certain Leonardo DiCaprio film...

The letters are still dark, at least for me too.

Except that Inception was a 2010 film whereas this project was originally on Rm2k before it was ported over to Rm2k3. XD

Anyway, the game's main focus isn't entering dreams. It's more of a backdrop really.
Ahh so this is what you've been working on! :D

I'm seeing white text, sometimes RMN takes a while for the CSS to load properly. BTW here is the code for editing the Reply Box:

.markItUpEditor {
font: 12px 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;
padding: 5px;
width: 690px;
height: 200px;
clear: both;
line-height: 18px;
overflow: auto;
background: #000000;
}

Forgot to read the description. With that aside, the game looks great.
Thanks Miracle! Always a great help. :)

My idea for my Dreamwalker game is to enter dreams obviously, and just kill demons trying to overtake innocent people, whilst battling on going conflict with other dreamwalkers that may or may not be evil. Being remade in ace. jeez, most of my games on rpg2k3 will be.

Oh didn't realize there's a demo, didn't read blog. :)

edit: lol yes, I used the ctrl key. ha ha. And I can't find her husband Abe.

edit update: spoiler I have found him, only seeing though the maker itself, but I
can't get inside the home. It's also dark outside, of course I'm at the part where I heard
a sound, but

spoiler end.

If you're at the part where I think you're at (you went outside on the veranda and saw something), you're supposed to leave Caste and head back towards your home.

Not sure what you mean about not being able to get inside the home. If it's after the part when you were on the veranda, that's because all the houses become locked afterwards. If it's before that then I'm not sure what happened, the home that Abe can be found in is never locked until AFTER you find him.

No idea, but I can't leave Caste yet. I'm suppose to find where explosion was heard. Can't leave the place.

Maybe I can go into the switches in-game and get it over with.

Weird. Do you go out onto the veranda/balcony and actually see the explosion first? That should turn on the switch (0036:Explosion Seen) that allows you to leave Caste via the same way you came in (from the North).

You get stuck on the chair in the Relatives home after you wake up.

edit: I like the pose Bleya is in when she appears on the roof with the knight. tee hee.

Strange, for a second there, I seemed to be stuck near the place where you have to go in Castle, but I can't move the other way. Some rm2k3 move bug, but it's over now.

I also find it strange for music to play in towns, even if there's nothing bad happening, I mean, now, it's a good time seeing as spoiler people being kidnapped, slaves, etc spoiler end.

lol okay the battle grid is kinda hard to figure out a couple of times, but I won against the guard.
