Madaline's Misplaced Miscellany is a hidden object game in the point and click style.
You search through rooms and click/choose all items in the room you are looking for. A checklist of items you have to obtain for a certain lady.

The story, albeit a little bit silly at first, ends sweetly and makes for a beautiful frame.

The house is huge and with many diverse rooms you have to search through - all graphics are edited photographs and are stunningly beautiful. Many items scattered around stand out (the yarn specifically) while others blend right in which makes for a nice mixture of items, and for an appropriate difficulty.

You have to repeat the room if you click on wrong items too often (5 times) and will restart with a different checklist. Many items are seen across all rooms (like fans and cupcakes), but each room has a theme the main items belong to.
For example one room is full of butterflies and birds with a view of the outside. Another is full of children's toys.
After completing any room, you will see how much time you needed and how many mistakes you made.

I love these kittens./i]

The description or name of items makes for a nice variety, clocks are called tick-tocks, for example. A statue can be called statue, or whatever that statue depicts.
They are sometimes too vague. There is a "playdoll" to find in the last room, and there are two of them. Thankfully the room for error makes up for these instances.
There is also the option to get up to three hints (read: solution), so in the rare occasion you do not know understand what exactly you are searching for, there you go. An possible description of what that item actually is could have been helpful at times, but never became a problem due to the hint-help offered.

It comes down to a very decent difficulty, with ways to make it easier or harder for yourself. I was lost searching for that one last item on numerous occasions. Only the bird/butterfly room gave me a minor headache, as I simply did not know how they were supposd to look like.
But there are plenty and plenty of items to find in beautiful sceneries which are simply gorgeus to look at.

The art-style really makes it stand out, and with the solid gameplay to back it up, anyone enjoying these types of games should check it out.
