Reniat returns to her home village after years away at boarding school to find that the village is nearly deserted. The mine that the village depended on heavily for boosting its economy and tourism has been overrun by monsters and no one has bothered doing anything about it. Having trained as an adventurer, she decides to see what she can do about reviving the town and making a name for herself in the world.

Homework Salesman is a life simulation game with an emphasis on dungeon exploration, completing quests, crafting new equipment and items, and befriending the people in town. The game takes inspiration from the Rune Factory and Atelier series.

Features
  • Befriend each villager by talking to them every day and giving them gifts. Higher friendship levels allow you to learn each NPC's personal story and can also gain you access to new shop items, skills, hidden goodies, and more.

  • Unique items means that each item in the game is treated as a separate object. You can rename equipment, find rare versions of them, upgrade and repair them (weapons have durability), and even enchant them. You can have several iron swords each with different enchantments on them.

  • Six unique crafts: Cooking, Smithing, Tailoring, Enchanting, Alchemy, and Construction.

  • Quests are divided into two categories: story quests that propel your adventure forward, and side quests that are procedurally generated.

  • Features a world encounter system where you can find random events in field maps or dungeons, such as traveling merchants or a bandit who'll offer to spare you for money (or you can kill him)

  • Enemy encounters and (most) treasure chests are randomly placed on maps. You typically won't find the same monster encounter in the same dungeon spot every time. Treasure chest contents are randomly drawn from a pool of items appropriate for the zone you're in. You can also find unique weapons with randomized names, stats, and enchantments.

I've figured out what Connie and Sally like for the quest "Welcome the Westerlys", but I can't for the life of me get different dialogue to happen with Thornton and Linus, and I can't go to bed or leave town while the quest is in session!

Did you go into the Blacksmith or General Store?
Oh yeah, may I ask you what is the effect of every ailments in-game? Especially "Dirty" and "Wet".

Dirty doesn't do anything! But your party had dirt thrown at them so it is natural they'll be dirty until they can wash it off later in the battle~

Wet makes you more weakened against Wind based attacks (which includes lightning I think). It will also make you resist the Burn state.

Burn works like poison but it comes from fire based attacks. It also lowers your atk and def (since you know, you're concentrated on putting out the fires than being at the top of your game).

Frazzle comes from lightning based attacks and works like paralysis. It is taken off 100% if someone damages you or a turn or two later.

Are there any other ones you need to know?
Oh, so that's how it works. Thank you Ronove, I think I can make some strategies on beating the captain.

By the way, does the skill "Ressurect" really ressurects downed ally? I tried using it on a living (yes, not dead) ally, then it recovered him fully. Is it supposed to do that?
And about the durability of weapons, is it really supposed to reduce every time it hits the enemy, not every time we use it? I find it weird using double-shot / triple-shot skill reduces 2-3 arrows each hit.

What version of the game do you have? Resurrect was borked in one version so if you can make sure you have the most updated version, that may resolve itself.

And the durability does reduce every time you use it as far as I recall. And you say you find it weird using double shot/triple shot and it reduces your arrows 2-3? That seems to make sense (using two arrows for a double shot; three arrows for a triple shot) so I'm unsure what you mean!
I played the latest version, haha. I forgot the last version when I tried to resurrect in a boss battle, it hit and healed the living instead. So I tried to heal living people with resurrect in the latest version (1.0j) and it worked. I haven't yet to try the skill on the dead, I'll report when I've confirmed it.

What I mean is, the durability of the weapon is reduced each hit. It's like this:

Let's say we encounter 3 hares. Eagan has full quiver of arrows (99). When Eagan uses triple-shot, it hits each hare once, and the arrows are reduced by 3 each time it hits the hare. The final amount of arrows on Eagan is 90.

In another example with the same enemies, let's say the arrows hit hare A once and hare C twice. If we assume that each hit kills, then hare C will be hit just once before it dies, and the second hit will miss. Then the final amount of arrows on that turn is 93, because one arrow misses.

So it's like, when I used double shot (which hits twice) it reduces the durability by 4, 2 each hit. And the same goes for triple shot, it reduces 3 per hit, 9 in total.

The same thing goes for all weapons that hits more than once. Is it a bug?
I'm sorry for the long post, haha!

Oooh, I understand that now. So even though it hit each hare once, it still deducted 3 per hit. I'll get that looked that.
The skill would be too overpowered if it only consumed three arrows. Eagen's really shooting nine arrows, three at each enemy~
Oww, so we DO really have to bring lots of arrows? But yes it is, that skill is good, second only to dancing slash (I think)!

Okay, I'll try to find anything weird again in the game, can't wait for the chapter 2 to play! :D
How do you unlock the spikes at 2nd floor of Colorus Cave?
Is it by switches scattered around the cave? If so, I wonder if I miss one.

Beat the boss and he drops a key that you can use to unlock the door so you can pull a lever that removes the spikes.
I do beat the boss already, but what door are you talking about?

If you travel westward on that map, you'll eventually loop around and come across a room that you can enter, and there is a door there that is usually locked. You should be able to open it now.
I should be doing my homework now :3
This looks really cool...I'll download it and play later! Judging from the comments so far, it'll be good aha
