Horror RPG, winner of the 2005 Misao for Best Atmosphere.
You and two friends find yourselves lost in the woods one day and decide to seek refuge in a nearby mansion. Certainly nothing could go wrong; people do that sort of thing all the time, don't they? But what you are about to discover is that this is no ordinary mansion, and its inhabitants are no ordinary people... Welcome to The Longing Ribbon. (Not Rocky Horror.)

A feature! Why thank you. And this game is only 5 years old now! ^_^ Thanks to everyone who has given reviews and feedback over the years. Seems like ages since the day I Frankensprited the RTP villager girl's head onto Britt Brady's trenchcoat boy. I'd be the first to agree that the quality of this game goes downhill after chapter 5. For the first time, I'll admit publicly that I made it up as I went along and also I think the ending boss is lame. But it was a question of either finishing the game shoddily, or not finishing it at all. However, I remain unrepentant about the "waterfall" area. You have to remember Don Miguel to understand. It is a tribute to him. Thanks again!

Umm how exactly do you fix the font I have the file and I put in the game file yet It seems i am doing it wrong.
This game looks pretty neat! I'll have to give it a shot!
Second attempt at downloading... 7 hours.. really? I must be computer illiterate.
I can't defeat the first monster. I've found two books that have increased my MP and I've used a sink to increase my HP. All the same I either hit it once, then heal the next time, then die, or hit it once and try to hit it again but get hit instead and die. I've tried a bunch of times. It's a two hit thing.

pkkpkkgpkbth. have you been checking paintings as well as books? Painting are the main way to increase your HP.

If you're stuck you can always activate the skip-battles option. :\
Holy. Crap. I am in love with this game. Like, not just "Oh I played it, it was awesome." No. I freaking LOVED it. I can picture it perfectly as one of those super-long, super-detailed anime series that you can't stop watching and never fully understand. But that's the best way to do it. When the credits (and ultra classy post-credits surprise ;D) were over, I just sat there. For like, a minute. But it felt like a long time full of contemplation and wonder and my mind was brimming with thoughts and ideas and questions.

I do believe that sums up my thoughts rather succinctly. Well done, my good sir. Well done.

MAN. D: Well I'm glad you enjoyed!
I really like this game so far. I haven't had the chance to get more into it but I love it, and Jeannine is so much fun to play as. I wanted to do a game commentary for youtube and get the word out and it's so much fun making voices for them xD

Matthew is such a douche though D:
Hahaha, glad this is still around! This was the first RPG Maker game I ever played, before I even knew it was a thing. It's a rough product, yeah, but there are still some interesting details to it gameplay-wise that haven't really been expanded on in other works and I think that's a damn shame.

This does mean that I'm holding you accountable for over five years of hellacious nonsense, though, Gib.

Oh gosh! I accept this responsibility with quiet dignity and grace.

Thank you!
Gib! D:
I'm having issues with killing Sara when she's possessed by the demon. The first time I thought it was because I didn't give Jeannine the right stats but I played it again carefully giving her the secondary attack and other stuff but she still dies. What do I do?

Well, there's always a chance that you missed some power-ups and stuff along the way. :| I suggest you just turn on cheat mode and skip.

You open the menu and select End Game -> No five times without taking a step on the map. D:
the biggest drag about this is not knowing how to distribute your stat upgrades. it is so infuriating. cause sometimes you'll upgrade something you think will help, but then some enemies come and kill you in one hit. ONE. GODDAMN. HIT.
major flaw.

D: I am sorry. But given the great oldness of this game I suggest you just use the skip-battles cheat if you want to finish it.
I freakin' love this game so much! I remember writing a glowing review for it MANY years back on a different site, though I can't for the life of me remember which one :(

WHY I'M HAPPIE TO HEAR IT. :) What made you come back and make this comment.
This game is awesome! I was captivated from the very beginning and couldn't get away from it. I love the unique way of upgrading skills (a bit tricky if you miss them, but neat nonetheless) and I loved the chilling atmosphere. You did a really great job of putting horror into a game with limited graphics. Kudos on freaking me out.
