1) Carryover explanation

Fragile Hearts III is made in the same folder (project) as the original game and its sequel. Therefore, it allows players to carry over their saved data from the first game into the second, and from the second to the third. This page serves as a list of the things that will and won't be carried over if players choose to use their savefiles.

2) What things carry over?

i- Players will be able to keep all items in their inventory. While new characters in Fragile Hearts III cannot equip items from the first or second games, they can still sell them for extra money at the beginning of the game.

ii- Held money will not be decreased.

iii- Story changes (see below)

iv- Environment changes (see below)

3) What won't carry over?

Character levels, unfortunately, cannot be carried over from the second game. This is due to the fact that the creator opted for new graphics, thus new character profiles needed to be made so that character battle graphics could be updated. As such, recruitable party members from the second game will have set levels, ranging from 10-14.

There are 2 branches at the end of FH1 that drastically change the situation of the characters in the game, and 4 branches throughout FH2 that will also have big changes for this game. This affects both plot details, missions, and environments.

The branches from FH1 are as follows:

1A- Midard died. You cannot recruit him to your party in Fragile Hearts SD or III.
1B- Midard survived. If you find him, you may perform the recruitment side quest, thus allowing him entry into your party.

2A- Haddy became the High Witch. You will not be able to recruit her to your party, but having her in a position of power will be of great benefit to you as you will gain access to better resources.
2B- Haddy did not become the High Witch. You may find and recruit her if you perform the recruitment side quest.

The branches from FH2 are as follows:

1A- Bart as Protagonist. If Fergus says he'd like to have a son in FH2, Bart is the main protagonist. Albeit a very feminine one.
1B- Paddy as Protagonist. If Fergus says he'd like to have a daughter in FH2, Paddy is the main protagonist. Albeit a very masculine one. Cutscenes will differ according to her personality.

2A- Bazur survives. If Meera saves Bazur in FH2, Bazur's story arc will be unlocked.
2B- Bazur dies. If Bazur is killed in FH2, Meera's story arc will be unlocked.

3A- Settle army. If you kept the rogue soldiers in FH2, you will have to put an end to the mutiny within.
3B- Recruit army. If you dissolved the rogue solider in FH2, you will have to recruit a new one.

4A- Gulliver as Beast. If Haddy compromises with Gulliver in FH2, he will become a half-man, half-beast. He also has certain powers available to him in battle.
4B- Gulliver as Man. If Haddy gives in to Gulliver in FH2, he will be human again.

The plot changes also bring about environmental changes to the game.

5) Pre-existing Save Files

I was nice enough to leave a couple save files for those who want to see the opposite outcomes of the choices.

File 1 (Begins FH2) choices that were made were: Haddy is the head witch, Midard dies, Fergus and Haddy are together.

File 2 (Begins FH2) choices that were made were: Haddy is not the head witch, Midard is alive, Fergus leaves to go out on his own.

File 3 is at the end of the first game, right before the final battle, so you can make any combo of choices you want but you'll have to play through the final boss.

File 4 (Begins FH3) choices that were made were: Haddy is the head witch, Midard is dead, Bart is the protagonist, Bazur is dead, Gulliver is a Human, and an army is at your disposal.

File 5 (Begins FH3) choices that were made were: Haddy is not head witch, Midard is alive, Paddy is the protagonist, Bazur is alive, Gulliver is a Man-Beast, and there is no army at you disposal.

(There is no 6th file because FH2 choices take place throughout the game, rather than at the very end ala FH1).
