40 years ago, a war raged across the island continent, Silvania. The war pitted the magical kin of the land against the Dwarves, outsiders from Enoshia who had no magical power at all. Dragon Riders, from an unknown land, came to assist the magical creatures in the war against the Dwarves.

Overpowered and defeated, the Dwarves were banished from Silvania's mountain ranges and forests, back to the land of their ancestors, the Orcs.

Now a Dwarf, who grew up in those troubled times, seeks revenge against the magical creatures of Silvania. With a large army, he comes to the shores of Silvania, hoping to spill the blood of those who wronged his people in the past.

Darin, Ryaena, and Phylip live on the Northern part of Silvania, still untouched by the Dwarven army. As events unfold, the trio find themselves in the midst of this struggle and another battle far bigger than the Forests of Silvania.

Tech Demo Sneak Peak

I want to start off by thanking Sam and Silviera. The time you took to review EthD really means a lot to me, and I've taken what you've said and am trying to improve on EthD's weak spots.



In honor of Release Something IX, I have assembled an early preview of the future revamp tech demo. In this quick little demo, you can explore one room, and fight one battle as much as you like. This by no means a complete build--there's no menu beyond the root one--but the focus is on lead character switching and the basics of the battle system, even if I haven't played with damage algorithms or the stats I have to add yet. Please don't mind the temporary rtp for battle animations and sounds, those will most likely be replaced before the full tech demo.

The plan for the future is to have the tech demo show absolutely everything the game will have to offer in terms of systems and base gameplay. Currently I don't plan to release any other demos, since I think a remake of 2.0 with the new systems would be redundant. Also, I might blog on the specifics of the battle system if people are interested. For now, feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer.

If we were to enter the event (which is probably not likely because we're already discussing another small Halloween game and have commitments to at least two priority projects), it would be with CC2 before this monster. Even that is... daunting.

One day we'd love to go back and finish this, but oh man, over-ambitious first project. It will not be any time soon. I should at least remove that link to the old website, haha. Have not owned that domain for quite a bit.

It's really not worth playing. Play Drunk Attorney instead :D

Could you please let me know what this game and a salted funeral have in common.

Really, will you be completing this game so I can place the finished product, or should I just play the demo and grit my teeth when the demo ends? :(

Outside of my complaints in the last message it was a great game heres just a short video showing a little bit of the start tho theirs a few things that drove me crazy it was a enjoyable game overall and with the amount of custom effects and such i suggest checking it out for yourselfs

The shop screen shows the status change compared to what that character currently has equipped, not the stats of the item. Darin starts with the Dragon Crown which gives 1 Defense, 3 Resistance, and 1 Strength, so helms that the first town offer are largely inferior. Basically armour is terribly designed in this game.

I love the game so far
the sprites look amazing and unique
like larger and just generally different feeling for most others
some cool stuff in the menu like beastery and talents! :D
and dragy! :D

The bad/glitches

1.Not being able to run away this should have 100% success rate
some areas can be a bit of a pain wasting heals to get to a boss such as the mountain lion

2.i have come to dislike the talent learning system
i prefer it to lvl up on its own or thru allocation points i hate lvling up skills in this way based around character lvling!
cant train as i want otherwise i cant lvl the talents up!
also whats worse is if theirs no max for the talents(lvl 10 would be good hopefully its not something ridiculous like anything over 20)
yeah theirs no cap for talents do im disappointed in a feeling of loss with that
it should of capped at like lvl 10-15 with each of those and have it say max on lvl 15 so people know

finished the demo and sadly it seems the games dead forever lol... ill do a short teaser video and probably delete the game since theirs nothing other to do other then grind until every ones over lvl 50 and try to kill the god plant

i wish the talents were either
1.learn certain skills when you reach lvl

2.had a lvl limit so you dont waste training lvls(10-15 max)
allocation points which could be earned by lvling up or just fighting in general
and have X amount of points to increase lvl and learn X ability keeping limit to lvl

3.pick a skill to learn fight that skill gets points you learn it

if it was any of these the game would of been alot better it was still great but that system...i hate it so much

The art on this looks great. I love how you got the grass to be animated.
Heck, that little VX joke game was enough to make me dislike RGSS1 XD Now with Ace with its effects and features and damage formulas... no way I'd want to make battles in XP either.

I still remember playing a demo of this game. I feel old.
It will eventually be un-hiatus'd. We're just working on small projects first to improve the weak areas of our game making before returning to this beast of a project. However, when we do return, it will no longer be an XP game. I just wouldn't be able to work with RGSS1 anymore :x
